Whatever happened to right wingers crying about states rights? Now they want the federal government to step into supervising elections, which is the role of the states?

    • Posted by Jetpack Rorschach, at Reply

Their hypocrisy of always accusing anything government based as “big government trying to take over their lives and spy on them”, then happily handing over their personal voter history and accusing any states not doing the same as “unpatriotic” is just ridiculous. This is once again physical proof of the average Trump supporters complete cognitive dissonance and unbelievable ignorance.

I hope Trump voters who are so against government overreaches realize how stupid they are now.

geez I hope Trump supporters aren’t stupid enough to support this. Even the states that are giving public info to Trump are doing smart stuff for not giving all the personal info.

Trump believes that voter fraud took place to the toon of 3 million+ even though there is basically ZERO evidence to prove it? but yet him and his prejudice, bigoted and some (racist) administration don’t believe police corruption and brutality exist……even though there’s solid evidence to prove otherwise! Sure, let’s chase the ghost of voter fraud and overlook the elephant in the room of police corruption! gotta keep those prisons, courtroom etc full at all cost!

Haven’t you heard? Anything that Trump believes is true is fact, everything else is fake news.

According to liberals, it’s completely plausible for a foreign government to have “hacked” or interfered with the election (Russians) in favor of Trump even though there’s no proof, even after all these months but *ABSOLUTELY IMPOSSIBLE for the liberal establishment backed candidate, that already cheated out Bernie, to have committed ANY voter fraud of any way.*

  9. Posted by Gray Maven, at Reply

The deep irony of Trump creating a committee of “voter integrity” when the election was handed to him by Russian hacking.

    • Posted by Seth the Wicked, at Reply

No, it was handed to him by Hillary because she cared more about winning Utah instead of actual swing states in the rust belt.

    • Posted by Lark Druid, at Reply

No, Hillary lost because of man children with no concept of forward thinking.

The Republicans want to mine this data to dig into the most Democratic voting areas and figure out ways to suppress their turnout – more voter ID laws, closing down polling places, closing down places to register to vote, etc. What is more un-American than trying to deny people their right to vote?

    • Posted by Don, at Reply

Any U.S. citizen who isn’t a felon and is 18 years of age or older, Trumptard. As for the rest, federal courts have overturned Republican efforts to suppress voting, including one in North Carolina that the court said targeted African Americans with “surgical precision”.

    • Posted by Kikasitsu, at Reply

Mike Williams Actually, that IS SPOT ON. That is what has been passed over the past 9 years. Because Obama was elected President, because Scalia was someone that was against voting rights, every politician with an “R” attached to their name has at one point or another attempted to PASS Voter ID laws, and all manner of methods to suppress the vote without fail.

To say it’s “Ridiculous” means you have NOT been paying close attention to politics over the past few DECADES, especially the past presidency.

    • Posted by howlin drak, at Reply

what was so ridiculous that Don said, Mike Williams?

    • Posted by Cliven Longsight, at Reply

      Kikasitsu
The GOP focus on shutting down minority area voting booths, and deregistering Democratic voters who had similar names to Democratic voters in other states (using the Crosscheck system), despite the fact that even the majority of Trump’s own staff were registered to vote in multiple states (including the very guy who brought up the specter of voter fraud), shows that it’s Republicans who’ve been committing voter fraud left and right. As usual, when conservatives accuse liberals of anything, they are only projecting their own sins.

    • Posted by Seth the Wicked, at Reply

It’s not ridiculous because voter suppression played a pretty big part in Florida in the 2000 election as well. Jeb Bush had tons of names removed from voter rolls simply because one name sounded similar to another person of an almost identical name that was a felon. So you’re Mike Williams and you have a clean record but Mike P. Williams is a felon. Someone could remove your name so that when you show up to vote you’re no longer able to simply because they think you could be the other guy. You do that enough times and a state that is pretty close suddenly swings in your favor.

Let me guess, the states that agreed to provide the information were red states headed by freedom loving Republicans.

Edit: Huh, some of the states that refused were red states including my home state of Tennessee. Well, I’m shocked and impressed so props to them.

    • Posted by Noah Dehn, at Reply

The ultimate goal of the Republican party is to transform American politics into a one-party system… which automatically leads to the end of democracy and rule by an authoritarian regime.
