Better Healthcare, better education, no drug war. Not even close to half the prison population. Median household earnings are higher. Prices for things such as milk, gas, bread are all cheaper even though it’s the same exact stuff we use here. But let’s keep willingly being ignorant @Steven Christmas and just spout Communism even though you wouldn’t know the meaning if it hit you in the face.

    Not an Argument

I wish to preserve the lives of millions of Americans – National Socialism.
for people shouldn’t be condemned to die – poverty is a result of series of poor discussions.
simply because Insurance Companies, and republican lapdogs – do you work for free?
value money over people – it’s easy to redistribute someone else’s money.

80% of illnesses are a results of personal decisions or close family decisions.

Also, depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, autoimmune diseases, muscular dystrophy, many cancers, and epilepsy aren’t caused by ‘irresponsible behavior.’ Your stance is dishonest.

    • Posted by Hal Jordan, at Reply

You compared me to a Nazi, and then compared being poor with having a crippling illness/life-threatening illness which is totally out of your control. Way to beat yourself in a debate. And no, I don’t work for free, but I also don’t take in obscene amounts of money, at the expense of people in need. You, and your masters, do not need obscene amounts of money, but millions do need care. Your stance is selfish, callous, and destructive.

Some of them are genetic, so still a choice.
      And how common are those?
Lets say most common … Obesity? … Choice or not a Choice …

    • Posted by Hal Jordan, at Reply

Yes, lets pick out obesity, instead of the list of many crippling illnesses, people can’t help. You’re a real piece of work. People need help. That’s far more important that your selfishness.

As a mother of a disabled child, I am absolutely appalled by this (this bill or the new AHCA) . The only way I was able to even afford my daughter’s medical costs was through medicaid when she was a baby. Now that I work full time, we can afford our own insurance. But now I’m worried that I might even lose that at some point. What is my daughter going to do when she is an adult, which is only a few years away, and gets denied insurance due to preexisting conditions or even dropped?

    • Posted by Zone 9, at Reply

I was referring to this new bill, not this video, I updated my comment.

kingda117 Everyone is a person and deserves respect. Maybe he’s trolling, maybe he’s not. I don’t really care. I wouldn’t be the man I am if I didn’t try and talk to those I disagree with instead of insulting or dismissing them.

    • Posted by Ober of Acorns, at Reply

Robert Brown In this case, it’s very clear-cut. Almost everyone agrees that there was no planned bombing, no Christian motivation, no anti-abortion terrorism. Even the police stated that quite clearly. CNN had a short article “Man charged after claiming he took explosives into Kansas abortion clinic” on it.
Now, to be perfectly honest, my trust in all the media broke down a couple of years ago. I don’t trust any of them. Not limited to news, but anything. They all have an incentive to lie to you.

    • Posted by Izzy So, at Reply

Because it forces people to buy a service. It should be voluntary. Only the ones willing to buy it should buy it. And there should be a minimum care plan like the one I need. Aka a catastrophic plan. More choice not the one size fits all crap………

    • Posted by Robert Brown, at Reply

Ober of Acorns Well, TYT do have an agenda. They have an audience and so it’s in their interest to spin stories to manipulate opinion. Breitbart does the same thing. I think the best thing for everyone to do is to remain aware of the spin on any media they consume. Be critical, ask questions, but at the same time, remain open and don’t give in to dogma. If something comes along and challenges or disproves my deep held beliefs, I hope I have the integrity to acknowledge it and be willing to question or even discard those beliefs.

    • Posted by Kick2theFlip, at Reply

+Naomi Collinson I’m not saying it’s right. I’m just saying this isn’t new. Everyone thinks it was trumps idea.

    • Posted by Naomi Collinson, at Reply

+Kick2theFlip Under Obama/ACA, people with pre-existing conditions were protected from losing coverage or having their premiums increased. Under the new bill, those protections are seriously weakened. Insurers can apply for waivers to increase premiums or deny coverage for pre-existing conditions, for example. The potential mark up on premiums for pre-existing conditions is not minor and many may lose coverage simply from not being able to afford the jacked-up fees.

Obama/ACA may not have been perfect but people with pre-existing conditions were protected. Now there is a very real potential for what surmounts to victims to be financially penalized for being victims. It may or may not happen, but the potential should not be there.
