Welcome to our world! 25 years ago I lived in a dicey neighborhood and my car was in the shop. I walked 3 blocks to the video store and back. When I told my brother what I had done, he was mad at me for walking in my neighborhood alone after dark. I was bored and I wanted to watch a movie, but it made my brother mad that I did that. I was supposed to stay locked in my apartment bored. That is how the world works for girls and women.

When you can get fired over a mere accusation of patting a woman on her back.. clearly you dont live in a rape culture.

    • Posted by Comrade Trump, at Reply

Sure…because everyone is clearly celebrating and covering for rapists, moron. Just like it’s a racist society when the worst thing you can be called a racist and shunned on allegations, well only if you’re white and especially male. Hell it’s so bad, the media says teens or groups of teens if a black mob terrorized people if they report it at all, and won’t use the description black or African American unless the person is caught and they have too, because the mug shot would be obvious.

The accuser doesn’t have to provide any evidence at all but the consequences are REAL regardless. That’s total horseshit. I understand it’s not easy to prove it after the fact and it would probably be a criminal case if there was physical evidence but this is not right though, something needs to change.

You must suck at Poker, quick to play the race card.

How did you correlate my joke about Cenk being about stereotypes of brown people? Is Matt Lauer brown? Is Harvey Weinstein brown?

Use your brain next time. Just because Poker is a game of cards, it doesn’t mean the use of the race card can be played.

      You are disqualified!

    • Posted by All People Are Equal, at Reply

Epic fail on your part, because both Matt Lauer and Harvey Weinstein are ethnic minorities, both are Jewish. Wanna take another card loser?

    • Posted by flipwarrior, at Reply

All People Are Equal You said brown. Clearly, Matt and Harvey are white.

You’re grasping at straws, while drowning.

    • Posted by All People Are Equal, at Reply

You are playing with semantics here, I said brown, but I could just as easily have said ethnic minority and you know it. And Jews are Jews and not white other than in a superficial sense.

    • Posted by flipwarrior, at Reply

All People Are Equal You’re absolutely changing your tune and drawing straws. What is next? “I meant that they were males.”

I have lots of Jew friends, and most of them agree that they are white. Being Jewish is really more religion than race, however, the majority of them are of caucasian descent.

You clearly made a comment on brown stereotype, not Jew stereotype.

You are wrong and were looking for something that was not there. Go back to your hole or cave that you live in.

I’ve been saying that since Cosby. When Bill Maher goes on the air and attacks Bill Cosby using the exact same argument that Christians use to prove that angels exist, you should know that it’s not going to turn out well.

Garrison Keillor messes up with one woman who points the finger in allegations, and forty years of fame and respect (And I am a huge fan of Prairie Home Companion) go down the drain. He’s already guilty according to Minnesota Public Radio, who immediately fired him even though the woman’s accusations have not been proven. Trump comes up with his usual stupid comments about sexually abusing women, and he’s still our president? I mean, WTF???? I mean, Keillor had a point, if, as a celebrity, he was grabbed and groped by several women. If that is true, how come all the sexual abuse cases focus on men inappropriately touching women, but not the other way around?

    • Posted by Jo Jones, at Reply

      thomas Romano
Because most of the people who have the power to abuse are men.

    • Posted by Serenadesong, at Reply

Jo – Bullshit. He said himself that women slipped their hands below his belt line, ANYONE can sexually abuse and there are a lot more women in power today than in the past. This is getting ridiculous at this point, and I’m a woman.

double standards women can get away with sexual harassment because of society’s stereo type that men all ways want sex however that does no justify these actions and the unfortunate reality is that sexual harassment happens to both sex’s that’s why its called sexual harassment just like there’s racism in every race

Women are getting tired of men abuse. We can’t go to work, we can’t go to school, we can’t walk in the park, we can’t go out at night. There are so many things that we can’t do because of men.

    • Posted by sdrawkcabgnipytmi, at Reply

What a load of crap. Maybe women need to learn not to disgustingly overreact about everything. This story is nothing but BS that minimizes REAL cases of sexual harassment.

  18. Posted by sdrawkcabgnipytmi, at Reply

So, this is nothing but another absurd overreaction, ruining a man’s career over effectively nothing. I can’t imagine anything that minimizes real sexual harassment more than this kind of BS.

Even if it is. What evidence of wrongdoing is there actually? At best, he was fired over an accusation with no proof. It’s literally becoming dangerous for men to interact with women. All they need is to overreact to something benign or to make something up and their accusation alone will destroy your life and career.
