But, pointing out McConnell's guarantees in 2015 for votes on health care as well as immigration that were never honored, lawmakers in both celebrations state McConnell needs to use something a lot more concrete.

TRUMP’s own cabinet called him a MORON and UNINFORMED. TRUMP was hiding the whole time like the entitled Golf bum he is during the shutdown. The great negotiator LOL. MItch did all the work. Nobody should trust republicans bc they are two-faced cheating fully corrupt political weed snakes.

Mitch McConnell’s word is worth nothing, and he’s proud of that.

    • Posted by SSky06, at Reply

He’s proud people, include Democrats in Congress, still think his word IS worth something.

So how does it feel progressives to be thrown under the bus by your own party?

    • Posted by RedRobot, at Reply

Victoria Richardson When I see this I really start believing maybe we should put a gun to democrats heads and warn them if they didn’t vote the way their base want to we cost them elections by voting en mass for a third party

Dems fold like a lawn chair as usual.

How many times does Chuck have to have Mitch lie to him before Chuck learns that Mitch lies.

  11. Posted by DoctorMeatball, at Reply

To be fair, the Democrats stand for nothing and fall in lock step with 80% of the right’s policy. Also, they’re dumb as rocks. So this should come as no surprise

  12. Posted by FlipperWI Z, at Reply

Wouldn’t trust him if he were the last person on earth offering food. Dem. are weak.

Well done democrats on stealing a defeat from the jaws of victory. There goes the momentum for the Mid Term elections.

McConnell made Schumer take off his panties, demanded to smell them and said one word. Weakness!

Progressives got thrown under the bus from the Democratic party.

  16. Posted by The Diesel, at Reply

Why isn’t lying outlawed for politicians? Help me understand this. There should be a bill passed that holds them accountable for out right lying.

  17. Posted by The Diesel, at Reply

Democrats have more morals than the Republican Party but Republicans fight like the Democrats are suppose to. Feels like we are in a maze.

Closet conservative much TYT? Cenk would rather credit Orrin for CHIP and willfully ignored Hillary as the true pioneer. I thought TYT is about FACTS? So why discount Hillary’s CHIP pioneer and credit the enemy? Wow? Is Mike Moore the only honest pro-Bernie progressive figure with courage and INTEGRITY to acknowledge Hillary’s personal and professional sacrifices to bring universal healthcare to America? Hey, even pro-Republican Washington Times newspaper in 1997 credited (or blamed) Hillary for CHIP! It was what triggered Koch Mercer big corp gang relentless witch hunt on her next 20 years! Why is it so hard for TYT to give Hillary credit where it’s due? JOURNALISTIC INTEGRITY, GET SOME?

Theo again try to willfully discredit and discount Hillary Clinton’s dedication “she gave up blah blah by end of 94”. FACTS CHECKED:
Hillary Clinton, Feb. 23, 1999: At least half of all uninsured children are eligible for federal-state health insurance programs, but too often their parents don’t know or don’t believe they qualify. As successful, for example, as Medicaid has been, an estimated 4 million eligible children are still not enrolled.

In April 1999 the first lady said – nearly 1 million children had been enrolled during the previous year, but that increasing the figure was “one of the highest priorities” of her husband’s administration. She said the president would seek $1 billion to fund a five-year “outreach” effort, with a goal of increasing enrollment to 5 million by 2000.

Continue with your discounting of THIS WOMAN’S WORK. Please. Because we haven’t trashed her enough. Trash her some more! You go boys!

LizzyLiberty ok so its like the Lets Move campaign. Ok. All first ladies have a pet project (accept Melania). I think u are stretching to blame them for something that is “noteworthy” but not critical information. HRC should be credited for things she did. But I can see how she isnt essential here

She didn’t initiate it, she proposed a needlessly and ridiculously complicated plan nobody could understand that was impossible to explain (I’m a social policy student and I’ still don’t understand it) and totally rejected single payer str8 out.

Sorry, we are not making Hillary relevant again. This woman lost to Trump and plunged the world into chaos. I have friends who were deported by the Trump administration, friends who were tax payers and did not have a single criminal record. This is a reality that would not have happened if Hillary had not lost to the most unqualified and marred candidate in recent American history. If TYT (and other progressive outlets) gives Hillary credit or air time, then she will get back some relevance, if she is relevant then she will run again in 2020, if she runs in 2020, we will get another 4 years of Trump. Sorry, but I, along with many others, refuse to sate the ego of white women by crushing the lives and livelihoods to people of color, lgbtq, and other disenfranchised groups.
