In objection of politicians voting to let ISPs market our personal internet history Fight for the Future has actually called the lawmakers out in an extremely public way. Ana Kasparian, Ben Mankiewicz as well as Jimmy Dore, the hosts of The Young Turks, talk about. Tell us what you believe in the comment area below.

Find out more here:

" When Congress enacted March to obstruct FCC privacy policies and let internet service providers offer users' personal information, it was a successful stroke for the telecom industry. Now, the not-for-profit, pro-privacy group Fight for the Future is advertising simply how much the industry paid in an attempt to sway those votes.

The team introduced four billboards, targeting Reps. Marsha Blackburn as well as John Rutherford, in addition to Sens. Jeff Flake and also Dean Heller. All four signboards, which were spent for through contributions, were positioned in the legislators' areas. "Congress voting to digestive tract Web personal privacy was among one of the most blatant display screens of corruption in current background," Defend the Future co-founder Tiffiniy Cheng claimed in a declaration on the job.

The billboards accuse the lawmakers of betraying their constituents, and urge passersby to call their workplaces." *.

They are gonna need alot of Billboards for Trump.

    • Posted by Nonune Konsequence, at Reply

Your boy Donald J Trump sold out to the German Banks… The Russian Banks, oooh don’t forget sending his precious daughter to work with and for the Iranian Revolutionary front building a massive building for them… Want I should go on? Sure Bernie sold out. Cool, you can make that claim all day if you want. We can point at all the times Trump’s Literally sold out to Saudi Arabia or Russia or his pocket book as he stole money from the 9/11 relief funds. So…

Bernie 1 sellout. Trump…6 times a sellout and that’s just off the top of my head and not going into the times he sold out to the mob in his early days.

Somehow they failed to erect a Bernie Sanders billboard. The sell out who capitulated to Hillary and helped Trump win. Thank you Bernie, your shilling ultimately helped my guy win.

    • Posted by Mario Quade, at Reply

I still don’t understand this argument at all: How did supporting Hillary helped Trump win? Does that mean if Bernie hadn’t endorsed Hillary, she would have won because then somehow more people in the Rust Belt would have voted for her? Or is the argument that less people would have voted for Trump? Which would lead to the question how not campaigning pro Clinton and against Trump would have somehow turned people away from voting Trump?

    • Posted by Nonune Konsequence, at Reply

Also… You do know Trump Lost the popular election… Right? He was elected by the Electorate, you know the rich elitists pricks you guys thought you were giving the shiv to by supporting the rich elitist prick you support? So, technically your point is, “Thank you Bernie, for helping Hillary win, and thank you Establishment for giving me the Illusion that my idiotic views matter”.

How long will it take them to ban those billboards?

    • Posted by hudsle, at Reply

I can see the argument now: “Its writing, not talking. So it doesnt count a speech. Plus they paid for the billboard, so it wasnt free. Therefore its not protected by the 1st Amendment. So its banned.” You know, just like all their other “Constitutional” justifications for things. Matter of fact, given the stellar understanding of the Constitution shown by Cruz when confronting Yates, I’ll bet he’ll be the one to make that argument, word for word.

    • Posted by ShinFiwaicearth, at Reply

Shawn H Corey You should go to NYC. There’s more billboards than people over there…

  15. Posted by Chris Raynerson, at Reply

What a waste of money. No one is staring at billboards anymore. They are staring at their phones. Why waste money on a billboard when you focus on getting a video/photo ad on YouTube/Facebook/Instagram to people in that zip code.

    • Posted by Kuuribro, at Reply

Because people still hate to drive, dude. That’s why billboards are still a thing.

    • Posted by Chris Raynerson, at Reply

Kuuribro I don’t get why hating to drive is an argument? People who are passengers are staring at their phones. People who are walking by are staring at their phones. People who are
the drivers are also staring at their phones. Why spend $100k on a billboard no one is going to see when I could spend a fifth of that on Facebook ads that I can direct to people in that district to a wider audience?

Atlantean Fox_14 They can look at your history and figure out what you’re interested in so they can show you ads for things you’re more likely to buy.

    • Posted by justmemadison, at Reply

Well, the ISP makes money when they sell your information to anyone that has the money to purchase it. And, depending on who purchases it and what they decide to do with it — there are many revenue options available. Use the information to target people for products and services and then there are those that will use your data to commit identity fraud — your social security number, credit card number(s) and even the content of your emails are all up for sale. Hope that clears things up for you. It’s criminal and our elected representatives made it law. When people say their vote doesn’t count…this is an example of just how much every vote counts.

    • Posted by Atlantean Fox_14, at Reply

meaning theyll just assume that we gonna fall for that bs?
