An NYPD district commander is running the gauntlet over a tweet supporting Black Background Month. Cenk Uygur, the host of The Young Turks, clarifies. Tell us what you believe in the remark section below.

Read more right here:

" A New York City Police Department (" NYPD") precinct commander is in warm water after a debatable civil rights expression appeared on the precinct's Twitter feed.

The negative reaction happened after the NYPD's 100th District in Queens posted an update on their official Twitter account in an effort to take part in Black History Month.

That tweet referenced boxer Jack Johnson– who came to be the very first African American globe heavyweight boxing champ in 1908– at the elevation of Jim Crow.

The offending tweet reviews as follows:

Jack Johnson became the initial African American guy to hold the Globe Heavyweight Champion boxing title in 1908. #Blacklivesmatter

New York City police officers were not entertained by the post. The reaction fasted as well as fierce."

Its not just the fry em like bacon. Theyve also chanted “what do we want dead cops when do want em now” the black lives matter activists that I’ve interviewed usually hate police and believe the police force should ve abolished they think the existence of the institution is racist in nature and is based on the slave patrols etc

More white people have killed police officers in 2018 than any other race. But y’all mad over a chant lol

I mean it did drive a TYT fan to go and actually kill cops.

Thats just ridiculous. Nothing wrong with her tweet. A Black Officer proud of her background and profession is just the perfect recipe for reform in police institutions an for the community.

I’ve learned that after tweeting “the only way to make the Black Panther movie racist is if you release it on Father’s day”.

Linda Gordon, author of a book on the KKK in the 1920s, said that the #1 profession in the KKK at that time was…. wait for it… police officer. so, yeah. its traditional.

black lives matter objective is to hold cops responsible for their crimes. being a cop doesnt make you above the law
cops this year have been caught …
    1. planting drugs
    2. planting fake guns
    3. saying on camera they rather kill the suspect
    4. locking innocent people away.

and none of them have gone to prison for committing the same crimes anyone else would go to prison for.

    • Posted by Sacred, Nothing is, at Reply

Then stop killing them like as ISIS fighter killing infidels.

    • Posted by Colonel 100, at Reply

i would tell the same to trump supporters that attack innocent american muslims when an isis terrorist attacks americans.
but republicans continue to attack other americans

so maybe if cops stopped killing innocent people, they wouldnt have to worry about being killed as much

Jeff Sessions did just say that the police are part of the great “Anglo-American” legacy that must be defended. It’s a known fact that the police exist to oppress minorities, of course the phrase black lives matter infuriates them.

    • Posted by TheByzantineBeserker, at Reply

Barack Obama spoke highly of the Anglo-American tradition when he was a Senator. It’s about culture, not race.

    • Posted by Sacred, Nothing is, at Reply

The things being said about BLM are the same exact things they said about MLK before he died. Look up Jakie O saying how bad a man she thought MLK was.

This is the same mess Martin Luther King had to deal with. And the republicans believe it’s a sin for Blacks to want to be treated with due process, rather than murdering unarmed blacks in the back in the streets. And then all white jurors Always have made sure racist cops are not prosecuted. They keep telling us racism is gone so, protesting against rogue racist cops is a sin for too white citizens. They know racist cops has always been apart of America’s police departments.

Pointing at the stupid black gangs in Chicago isn’t a license to kill unarmed blacks in this country, because you have been doing it over 400 years when blacks wouldn’t hurt a fly. The fight will go on until Justice is won or until every racist is dead.

    Jackie Onassis was black

The system of white insecurity at it again.

    • Posted by James Guilford, at Reply

AlbinoChild; No, it is not ”white” insecurity; but perhaps human insecurity, on behalf of people whom just happen to be white. That said, I do believe a large portion of the NYPD is comprised of black cops; some of whom, for various reasons, resent BLM, as much, or more than some white cops. Authoritarians come in all colors, not just white.
