trump will be *impeached* by a Republican congress; trump will be the second Republican President to come close to *impeachment* inside of 50 years. Since instead of *resigning* he will likely prefer to *embarrass* the Republican party

      Zech,

A government official getting financed from a foreign government is a big no-no. In fact, it’s actually a violation of the Emoluments Clause, (article 1, section 9, clause 8) “No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state.”

That being said, it all depends on what this investigation finds. He could be impeached under obstruction of justice (Clinton was impeached over the same thing due to perjury in a hearing about his sexual actions involving a certain White House intern).

Let’s see what we can find that would support this obstruction hypothesis. 1) the firing of James Comey in the midst of an investigation to uncover any potential Trump-Russia connection, 2) he then threatened Comey with the release of certain tapes (an act known as witness tampering). If Trump is indeed innocent in all of this, then his actions make zero sense.

Am I glad James Comey is gone? It’s a bittersweet moment for me because Comey’s now infamous “Wikileaks is intelligence porn” he made it clear that he intends to prosecute Assange.

Bob Singer No one has been successfully impeached actually. Everyone stepped down/resigned. Trump will be the first and this will be the second republican president to do be accused.

    • Posted by bronzenrule, at Reply

+SilverSlayer23 Actually, two Presidents have been successfully impeached, Johnson and Clinton (through a process/vote that takes place in the House). No President has been successfully convicted and thrown out of office through a trial in the Senate after being impeached.

    • Posted by SilverSlayer23, at Reply

+brozenrule I thought they were acquitted?? Johnson and Clinton I mean. I also thought impeachment had to go through the senate before it finished.

    • Posted by bronzenrule, at Reply

Impeachment is equivalent to an indictment, and it’s determined in the House, a bit like in a grand jury. Once someone is impeached, a trial takes place in the Senate.

Well, of course you’re still waiting. You voted for trump and put all your chips on his side. So of course you’re not going to do any of your own research to see if the russia accusations hold any validity. That would defy your confirmation bias.

The how; Russia used political espionage and cyber crime to intercept emails from clintons campaign members. Then they leaked the emails through wikileaks to the public. But not before giving detailed accounts of the emails to trump campaign before they were ever released.
Now, it would be debatable as to whether the russians were involved in this, *except* that they just used the exact same tactic in the recent French election. Paid trolls were used to spread lies about Macron, and his campaign emails were hacked and leaked. There is substantial evidence of this, and the connection is obvious.

The why; the russians wanted a trump victory, because his presence in the white house destabilizes our relationship with the EU and NATO. It is unquestionable that our alliance with NATO was shaken when trump starter spouting his idiotic narrative about them. NATO is RU’s #1 enemy, and they have stated that countless times. International trust was lost to the US, and the world now sees us as a racist, xenophobic country. Our political system is now the laughing stock of the world. The russians supported Le Pen for the very same reasons. Le pen supported france leaving the EU. Further weakening the euro and the NATO alliance.

Instead of waiting for TV news to show you evidence, how about you take some time and do some research of your own?
Dont just take my word for any of this. Google russias historic foreign policy, and their history with political espionage. This is nothing new.

The only thing thats new is the amount of gullible sheep who desperately want to believe donny chump is their messiah.

      *YOU ALL GOT PLAYED*

    • Posted by Donald J Trump, at Reply

AmourBeautyxo _ Very much so. Because even if he does get impeached(which is unlikely, ambitious to think it can happen so easily), We get Mike Pence who i’m sure liberals will love even more 😉

    • Posted by AmourBeautyxo _, at Reply

Maybe Trump will resign for his own mental health. Mike Pence won’t last long if he knew that Flynn was under investigation prior to hiring him.

The thing is, the saddest thing is, that even if it’s proven, even if he gets impeached, his supporters won’t care/will not believe it.

I agree with Senator John McCain, Robert Mueller is a great choice for special counsel.  I also believe Pence, Ryan, Sessions and all of trumps appointees should scrutinize as well.  trump has not been operating in a bubble, he has been protected by his cronies who knew full well that he is an idiot at best and traitor at worst.  Not my president and never will be.

    Emoluments Clause thing
and the Republican Party’s rejection of an amendment to require Trump to
    show his taxes thing
and the 17 confirmations of election hacking thing
and the intelligence community’s investigative reports thing
and the FBI’s criminal investigation of Trump campaign thing
and and the Sergey Gorkov banker thing and the Azerbajain thing
and the Mayflower hotel thing that Sessions hid,
and the “Putin’s awesome and Russia’s better than America” thing, and
Trump’s reassurance that the Russian connection is all “fake news” thing

    and Spicer’s Russian Dressing “nothing’s wrong” thing…
the Jared Kushner lying on his White House high-level security access
forms thing (leaving out 3 separate meetings with Russians),
the Jared/Ivanka Aspen ski trip with Russian oligarch Abramovich thing,
the Putin’s GF Wendi being Ivanka’s BFF thing,
the advance notice to Putin thing before benign bombing of his puppet
Assad, (completely missing the airstrip so planes were taking off again
the next day, and increasing stock of missile-maker Raytheon, which
    Trump owns shares of), thing;
the cheering for idiotic Nigel Farrage and Brexit which would benefit
    Russia thing,

the Trump firing anyone who gets too close in investigating him thing
(Yates, Bahara, Comey, etc), and hiding Russians right inside the
freaking Oval Office, despite them hacking our election and being under
    sanctions….
so there’s probably NOTHING THERE, since the swamp has been drained,
these people would NEVER LIE, and who knows why Nunes cancelled the
    investigation…and then inexplicably resigned…
all of this must be NORMAL…

I agree with everything you said, except the part where you called Assange a “traitor.” First of all, Assange is not American, so he can’t be a traitor. And secondly, I don’t agree with everything they do, but I do think the world is a better place because of Wikileaks. Sometimes it’s helpful to get information directly from the source without it being filtered through the government or media. That’s healthy for a democracy.
