Trump repetitively stated he was bringing coal mingling tasks back. Oops. Cenk Uygur, the host of The Young Turks, tells you just how he broke his assurance. Inform us exactly what you believe in the comment area listed below.

Find out more here:

" Head of state Donald Trump might have finished the supposed "battle on coal," yet that does not seem to have transformed the fortunes of the coal-mining market overall.

Local news station WTVA records that 370 coal miners are anticipated to be jobless after a coal mine situated in Greene County, Pennsylvania shuts forever this year. The mine closing would just about erase any type of gains made in coal mining employment since Trump's election, as the coal sector has thus far included simply 500 tasks over the in 2015.

Blair Zimmerman, a retired coal miner that now acts as Greene Region's chairman of region commissioners, tells WTVA that the mine closing will certainly be a significant impact for the entire area.

" Layoffs misbehave, however when it pertains to closing down a mine, that's as bad as it obtains," he said.

Zimmerman stated that, despite the political election of Trump, the affordable price of natural gas has actually continuouslied hammer the coal sector, just as it did throughout the Obama administration. In all, Zimmerman stated that it's very tough to see coal coming back as Trump has actually repeatedly assured."

The USA has clean coal. There are industrial scrubbers. It’s water vapor coming out of those ‘smoke stacks.’ China builds 3 new dirty coal plants every day. The USA is in an economic war with China. Weaklings like you should just start learning Mandarin now, since you want your own civilization to die.

This isn’t funny. Many coal washers will lose their jobs with the current war on the coal industry. My grand daddy was a coal washer for 50yrs. He worked 60hrs a week just scrubbing away at those lumps of coal with only some Palmolive and a toothbrush.

They don’t “deserve it” but they should know empty promises when they hear them. The “war on coal” was patently BS but they didn’t want to believe industry realities and decided to buy into a con man.

I read the article and there is information withheld. The mine was closed due to its unsafe and poor condition. Also its geological location has made it unprofitable. More money is being dumped into the mine than is coming out.

    • Posted by Novaverse, at Reply

David Hall The mine wasnt making a profit because there the area is not producing enough coal. You do realize that coal is finite area to area. And it is an old mine. Why would you fix a mine that is not producing a profit? This is no one’s fault. Its unfortunate.

    • Posted by mrbadguysan, at Reply

Novaverse apparently coal miners don’t realize coal is finite.

    • Posted by pokepersonal, at Reply

Novaverse its almost like you cant profit much from coal anymore, i wonder if its those far better alternatives or something

Now, if the country would invest in clean energy on the other hand, we could actually put these people to work, and on something worthwhile at that.

  6. Posted by liberal ontheleft, at Reply

The coal miners need to be reminded of the programs that tRUMP ended immediately after taking office that were started for the sole purpose of retraining miners who would soon be out of work.

Coal jobs will not, *cannot,* come back. Not just because coal mines/plants are reducing, but because it’s pretty much all automated.
Open up the mine, all you want, but the coal miners still won’t be getting their jobs back.

The saddest part of all this is that even the coal miners know the jobs are going and not coming back. But… they still support Trump and will attend his rallies and cheer him on when he finds a way to blame it all on somebody else. Go figure…
