" France may be trailblazing a new age of intolerance for sexual harassment, as well as not just with a social activity, however in Parliament. While the sharing of sexual harassment stories originated in the USA, France could make catcallers pay fines and Americans might discover a lesson from it. On Monday, Oct. 16, Marlène Schiappa, France's junior minster of sex equality, claimed that France was checking out the concept of fining individuals for street sexual harassment as well as just how much the fines would set you back. Schiappa, who is likewise an author as well as a feminist, claimed the government was going to talk to specialists on the legalities of such a proposition as well as create workshops for residents across the nation, inning accordance with the New York Times. The objective is to bring this proposition to Parliament by following year.

The motivation for this proposition came not just from the lots of sexual assault accusations against Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, yet from a related expanding social movement happening in France. Just as the hashtag #MeToo erupted from females in the United States, French females have actually begun their very own, #BalanceTonPorc, or "Expose Your Pig." This was begun by journalist Sandra Muller on Friday, Oct. 13, when she implicated an effective French executive of unwanted sexual advances on Twitter, quoting his words, "You have large breasts. You are my sort of female. I will make you orgasm all night," in her tweet. Since then, thousands have actually gotten on the wagon, with lots of choosing not to reveal their harasser's identity, inning accordance with the New york city Times.

The cross-continental development from these social activities could come from that a number of French starlets were among the lots of ladies who stepped forward with accusations against Weinstein, consisting of Florence Darel, Judith Godrèche, as well as Léa Seydoux, according to the New York Times. It's not surprising that French women have done the same from famous French starlets, just as numerous American women were inspired ahead onward by their Hollywood good example."

I’m married so this doesn’t apply to me, but how the hell do you or can you introduce yourself to a woman. It seems a woman can accuse you of harassment by simply saying “hello” to her. I’m sorry, I’m all for holding people accountable for their actions, but when does courting end and harassment begin?

    • Posted by Jae Will, at Reply

courting ends when you’re being blatantly disrespectful. Theres nothing wrong with a hi, but saying hey mami come here to a woman passing by on the street is harassment

    • Posted by Damien Hailey, at Reply

Isn’t that like saying punching someone only once isn’t assault?

  2. Posted by Kyle Mccaskill, at Reply

it’s only harassment if the guy is broke and or ugly……..women are sick human beings

I am all for protecting women but this goes to the point of overprotecting leading to discrimination and to some extent sexism.

These are the videos that give TYT a bad reputation.

Bitches only call it harassment when they don’t like the guy, he’s unattractive, or scary looking… if she likes you or finds you attractive, all the things she would normally call harassment suddenly become welcome. I’ve had more than a few women express this to me. 🤷‍♂️

    • Posted by Fi☪†i☯N, at Reply

also known as welcome flirting and unwelcome flirting. aka discrimination

    • Posted by MRostendway, at Reply

I can confirm this. I cat call alm the time and i have noticed whe a girl isnt attracted to me they will give me a foul look, but when they are they smile and i can usually make my move and talk game. Its really only cat calling when they arent in to you.. If they are its just flirting.

      Ant C = idiot

    • Posted by natschmat917, at Reply

That’s a blanket statement for all women. For me personally, even if you were attractive, I don’t know you. I don’t know your name, who you are, or what your intentions are. Some women may be into that, and I’m sorry you feel that all of us are.

    • Posted by Jakazu, at Reply

How are you supposed to learn someone name if you don’t talk to them?

  15. Posted by рома бабаян, at Reply

men, please stop catcalling. Yes they’re asking for it and they like it but in order to remain the victim status and suck your money out through courts these hags have to pretend they hate it. Go MGTOW, or at least record their reaction to your catcall so that they won’t be able to come out as a victim

  16. Posted by Reid Nixon, at Reply

Sure, catcalling can be rude. But do we try to criminalize rudeness? That’s preposterous.

  17. Posted by Carrie Feigenbaum, at Reply

What some people here aren’t seeing is that when a women is catcalled and she’s alone, by herself at night, there’s an implicit threat involved in that and we don’t know what they’re going to do. Being catcalled in that situation is really scary and I don’t think my life should be allowed to potentially in danger cuz a guy feels that it’s his right to objectify me
