Iowa Rep. Pole Blum (R) couldn't deal with one simple inquiry. Credit scores to local reporter Josh Scheinblum for a task well done. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, simplifies. Tell us just what you assume in the remark area below.

" An Iowa congressman walked out of a television interview on Monday, declining to explain why his personnel is prescreening components who prepare to attend his town hall conferences today.

A few hours later, Rep. Pole Blum (R-Iowa) showed up at his city center meeting where most of the prescreened target market screamed at him.

It was a rough start to a recess week for Blum, a second-term legislator standing for a swing district that elected narrowly for President Trump in 2014 after sustaining Barack Obama in 2012. Blum is a member of the traditional Home Flexibility Caucus who initially decreased to sustain the Republican plan to replace the Affordable Treatment Act however inevitably elected recently for the American Health Care Act." *.

Conservative Pepe lol what does disrespecting conservatives have to do with white culture. instead of being so thin skinned and dependant on a group of people for your sense of pride. why don’t you stand on your own merit? be an individual.

You know the best part is that if he gave a bullshit answer no one would’ve cared. But no, he had to throw a titty fit.

what a great way to act in front of the children. who was the kid in the room. maybe the congressman.

    • Posted by lnsflare1, at Reply

The issue is more that he was checking addresses to make sure that people from outside his District can’t come in to influence his policies by questioning him face to face, in public, about them, but he doesn’t seem to mind people from outside his District influencing his policies by giving him money.

I don’t recall Democrats setting up any sort of border check for their Town Halls in recent memory, so it’s not really a relevant comparison.

    • Posted by Manny Santiago, at Reply

janet diaz the kids were in the room to make him look more human.
      didn’t help.

    • Posted by bob See, at Reply

janet diaz politician know they can behave any way they want and always get away with it.
No one can hold them responsible.

    • Posted by emptyvoices31, at Reply

Alright. I just wanted to state fairly that I have donated to out of state representatives and senators, etc. But yes, if it’s about him instituting border checks to such an extreme with the children acting almost as a shield, I agree, that is appalling. I never said that wasn’t crude or lacked class on his part. But no, at least the town halls I have gone to in my district, for that is my only relevant experience doesn’t institute ID checks, etc. I don’t go outside my district although I glance at these videos from time to time. However, regarding what the Young Turks proposed about restricting donations to within the districts, I don’t think it’s a bad idea. It might even the playing field. What do you guys think? Pros or con?

If anybody from the 1st district of Iowa is reading this I urge you to vote this man out. Do you really want someone like this representing you?
