A Dutch facility has actually lately come tidy on a sperm mix-up, as several as 26 ladies were impregnated with the wrong donor sperm. Cenk Uygur as well as Ana Kasparian of The Young Turks discuss this massive sperm mix-up as well as what just how the ladies need to react. Inform us what you think in the comment area below.

" A medical laboratory in the Netherlands may have accidentally fertilized 26 females's eggs with the incorrect sperm, in a bizarre mix-up disclosed after half of the females had currently either conceive or given birth.

The BBC reports that the University Medical Center in Utrecht confessed to a "procedural mistake" throughout in-vitro fertilizations between April 2015 as well as November 2016, and that an investigation has actually been introduced.

" During fertilizing, sperm cells from one therapy couple could have ended up with the egg cells of 26 other pairs," the facility said in a statement pointed out by the BBC.

" Consequently there's an opportunity that the egg cells have actually been fed by sperm aside from that of the desired father," it proceeded, including that there was only a small possibility that the incorrect sperm really did come into contact with the eggs concerned." *.

Well, it’s the woman fault they shouldn’t go to clinic and get sperm donor
and get in this all mess. What happened to just get married and have baby.
And raised them like normal kids. This is why our society so messed up.
When you don’t have parents a man and woman
your kid will become different than others For instance, people who are
confused about their sexuality or become gay. They lacked the knowledge why
you are man or girl. Also, this caused high divorce rate. They should shut
    down all these clinics.

    • Posted by creppypastalover, at Reply

This was the most confusing tie in for an anti-divorce, homophobic, and
anti-planned parenthood argument I’ve ever seen; let alone the atrocious,
and just plain confusing, grammar mistakes. I’ll try to counter one of the
more coherent arguments you put together. You seem to be under the
impression that the only people who go to these clinics are abnormal when,
in fact, many different people visit for a variety of reasons. For example,
what if you got married and realized that you’re husband has oligospermia
and you can’t have a child, yet your mortis operandi dictates that you have
one? What are you to do? One solution is to go to a sperm bank, like this
one; and become pregnant, with the husband’s permission, of course. There’s
a THOUSAND different scenarios for a women to come to a sperm bank; not all
of them include abnormal people or scenarios. By the way you should never
start a sentence with the word “and.”

    • Posted by ShadesOfAmbivalence, at Reply

Kiki Boo Ugh. You’re so gross. Who are you to judge how people should be
living. Just because those types of clinics don’t suit your needs or your
opinions doesn’t mean they should be shut down or are to blame for what’s
wrong with society. I believe you couldn’t even read your way out of a
children’s nursery rhyme if you have this type of logic and mindset.

    • Posted by rouge1ful, at Reply

ok, you clearly have no idea how this works. the ability to give birth is a
privilege not a right other wise you wouldn’t have both men and woman who
could be sterol. not everyone can have children or can give birth
      properly. that’s why there’s surrogates, that’s why there’s artificial
insemination (you know for those couples who have tried for a long time but
cant get pregnant). the couple regardless if they are straight or gay
doesn’t matter but they are given a list of donors with various
information. this is the most important part of the process because they
are choosing what they think is the best candidate and if they are given
the wrong sperm then yes there is a problem.

    • Posted by Jay Grey, at Reply

Kiki Boo You know that there are couples who go to those clinics to get the
husbands sperm saved for IVF, right?

I think you guys missed the point on this one. I don’t know if you’ll read
this comment, but I hope you will. To create those embryos, the woman may
have had to go through months, even years, of fertility treatments
involving painful injections and life-destroying side effects such as
severe mood swings. It’s not about whether abortion is moral or not. It’s
about the amount of money and time, and the physical and emotional toll on
the woman and her partner, that went into creating those embryos. Also,
some woman have embryos harvested before they have their reproductive
organs removed due to cancer, in hopes they will be able to have children
one day. Those saved embryos might be their last chance to have a child.
The pain caused by having to abort the child or destroy the embryo would
not be because they believe it’s a life form because they’re pro life, but
would be because of what they went through to create that life.

i dont know as a guy i could not imagine raising someone else child , its
ok for the woman as she know its her child , would u feel the same if u
were pregnant with a child that wasn’t your own but was from the egg of
another woman and the sperm of your husband

    • Posted by adriennefloreen, at Reply

If I was pregnant with a child that wasn’t mine but the sperm was my
husband’s, I probably wouldn’t feel right aborting a baby that was his son
or daughter. If your wife had gone through months or years of fertility
treatments, would you really expect her to do it all over? It’s pretty
insensitive to expect her to do so because somebody else made a mistake.
People raise other people’s children all the time, through divorce,
adoption, etc. If you’re insinuating that it’s against human nature to
raise someone else’s child, millions of examples from throughout human
      history prove you wrong.

    • Posted by MANTLE, at Reply

+adriennefloreen i never said its against human nature ( kindof is in
      evolutionary terms)
but me personally would not be able to do it , im being honest about it, i
would not be able to ignore it
but see the difference u made , on one hand if its not the fathers then
they should still go through with it as it would be disrespectful to the
woman but if its not the mothers then u “probably wouldn’t feel right”
      aborting the pregnancy
the only way i could bring up someone elses child would be if i had plenty
children of my own later on or already

    • Posted by adriennefloreen, at Reply

I think if you’d spent a fortune on your wife’s fertility treatments,
watched her suffer through severe mood swings, stomach problems, and weight
problems caused by the fertility treatments, for years, you might feel
differently. Or if there wasn’t sperm or an egg available to make the kind
of baby you wanted. What if, for example, the last one of her eggs, or the
last of your sperm, had been used? There are many situations where couples
have embryos created, but never is the situation that the woman is healthy
and able to procreate on her own. There is always some extreme situation,
usually with the health of the parent, that even causes a woman to go this
      route to reproduce.

    • Posted by adriennefloreen, at Reply

Also, you are coming at this from an emotional perspective. You are
reacting the same way you would if your wife cheated on you or was raped –
oh no, dare you’re gonna have to raise someone else’s baby. But if you love
your wife, you should love her baby. How is it any different from, say, if
you met her when she already had a baby or was already pregnant?

That’s awful… killing an unborn child for no other reason other than you

not having a vagina does not mean that I don’t have a brain that forms
opinions or thoughts on the subject. If you don’t agree with my opinion
then feel free to ignore it but don’t act like I can’t have one.

    • Posted by Bobany, at Reply

Well as I said I stand for abortion, but I don’t agree with you. It isn’t
the woman’s choice, because it isn’t her body. It is her body AND another
humans body inside of her. After a certain time, abortion should be illegal
(which it is). When the fetus have developed enough to be similar to a
human, and where the grey zone for weather or not the fetus have an
unconscious is, the abortion should also be illegal (if you can’t be sure,
don’t risk it). And that has nothing to do with the woman’s body. It has,
and always had, to do with the baby’s body.

    • Posted by BroTheDude, at Reply

+Bobany At least that is a more reasonable view. I’ve heard some women say
abortion should be legal right up until the baby is born naturally. That is
      absolutely reprehensible to me.

    • Posted by Mindy Hartley, at Reply

You can have an opinion, BroTheDude. But you can not understand the
experience a woman has with pregnancy and childbirth. You have an opinion,
but it is not informed with the kind of information and experience you
would need to make a decision like that for a woman. And even still…have
your opinion…but the fact STILL remains that your opinion is irrelevant.
      It’s not your business.

What a woman does with an embryo before viability is her decision alone.
Just like a woman can never understand what it’s like to have a penis. If
an embryo is a person, then so is sperm, because it also has the potential
to become a human. And no one is forcing a man to ram his penis in someone
and have a baby, whether they like it or not. That’s a man’s decision. It’s
your reproductive right to decide whom you would like a child with. And a
WOMAN should have just the same amount of reproductive rights as Men do.
Even still, in the situation of you fathering a child, you have to do zero
work to make that happen, and there is zero risk your body endures so the
embryo can become viable. And even still, many men put zero effort into it
even once the child is born (not always, obviously…). But with this said,
that is why it is impossible for you (or any man) to understand what a
woman goes through and why the decision should and does rest 100% with the
      woman.

So shame on you for wasting even one of those swimmers. It’s not the baby’s
fault if you don’t want to get a girl pregnant. It’s not the baby’s fault
when a man masterbates and wastes all of that sacred DNA and prevents them
from becoming a human being!! Save the sperm because they have the
      potential to become a human…🙄🙄.

      🙄🙄🙄🙄

    • Posted by BroTheDude, at Reply

+Mindy Hartley Saying a sperm or egg alone is the same as a fetus is
ridiculous and you know it. If a fetus is left alone then a person is
born… if sperm or an egg is left alone then its still just sperm or an
egg. Also, once a pregnancy occurs men don’t get a choice as to whether
they will be a parent or not. Only women have the choice to opt out. Even
if the man doesn’t want anything to do with the child then he will still be
on the hook financially for 18 years with no say in the matter. So no… we
      don’t have the same rights.
