Scott Pruitt is preparing to draw the United States from the Paris climate treaty. Cenk Uygur as well as Ana Kasparian, the hosts of The Young Turks, tell you why that's a poor idea. Inform us exactly what you think in the remark section below.

" WASHINGTON (AP)– President Donald Trump in the coming days will authorize a new executive order that untangles his predecessor's sweeping strategy to suppress international warming, the head of the Epa said Sunday.

EPA chief Scott Pruitt claimed the executive order to be authorized Tuesday will certainly reverse the Obama management's Clean Power Plan, an environmental guideline that limits greenhouse gas discharges at coal-fired power plants. The 2015 rule has actually been on hold considering that last year while a government allures court thinks about a difficulty by coal-friendly Republican-led states and also more than 100 firms.

Talking on ABC's "This Week," Pruitt claimed Trump's intention is to restore coal-mining works and minimize the expense of power.

Advocates of former President Barack Obama's strategy, including some Democratic-led states and environmental teams, suggest it would spur hundreds of clean-energy works and help the United States fulfill enthusiastic objectives to decrease carbon contamination set by a global contract reached in Paris in late 2015."

_”and I think that the environment thing is debatable.”_
Yep, YOU and 100% of the ‘peer reviewed’ environmental scientists… MINUS 97% of them.
Also debatable….. is the ‘flat earth hypothesis’ …. I mean, technically….. it COULD be debated.

      scientist here (agricultural enginneer)
if i dont factor in climate change in my models and correct for it all planning goes to hell because like it or not climate has changed and is continuing to change at an accelerrating rate

98% of the consensus agrees on climate change
i have personally read peer reviewed papers on the matter

there is literally no way to missinterpret tens of thousands of scientific papers in a way that they would all say the opposite of what they say

let’s run the hypothetical that 97% of all scientists are wrong and you are right

if that happens what is the cost of abandoning oil ?

america is energy neutral = less money spent overseas
oil is no longer used fromthe western world = terrorists loose their main source of money
and we have replaced a finite energy source that we would have replaced anyways with ones that don’t run out before it causes a major socioeconomic crash from it’s inevitable scarcity

so far all this is positive

now what happens if you are wrong and 97% of all scientists are right ?

eath turns to venus 2.0 and the biosphere stops being habitable in many areas of the world resulting in wars and a migration wave from middle eastern , african and south american countries to the nothern hemisphere in the billions where the threat of kkilling them would not stop them since they would a) blame us and B) will be fleeing from areas where the temperature during some hours of the day would outright kill any human

Then explain to me why Florida is panicking over what are called ‘dry day floods’? Why is Miami beach having roads flooded every high tide? Why is the state looking at losing half of its land mass and facing damages of several BILLION dollars as the state disappears under water NOW! This is happening now. Okay you may not live in Florida, or New York, or any coastal town that is going to lose beachfront property, but its still going to cost a lot of people their homes… and its happening NOW. Do a google search on dry day flooding in Florida…. Im not going to direct you to a site… just google it and see what it says. Then come back and tell me its not a problem.

And change in the past has been at a level that allowed at least some forms of life to adapt. It was over thousands of years.. this is happening in decades! Species are dying out all over this planet! If the honey bee disappears there is no more pollenation of crops! That means famine… if temps rise.. and the water table drops more… that means drought… and famine…. this is going to happen NOW.

    • Posted by Sean Armstrong, at Reply

Vilo – do you honestly think the Muslim community that I referred to (see above) would not have gotten the bad publicity they got if they hold the majority card in the society?

I’m in Vancouver where 60% of the population are Asians. There are communities where literally the entire street signs are all in Mandarin and you can’t even tell you’re in a Western country.

Replace that with Muslims, and what do you get? A cultural shift where you (aka English Western culture) would feel like a minority.

And hey, MAYBE you’re ok with that…but I’M NOT.

(again btw – notice how i’m not actually talking about terrorism? Because terrorism is only a distraction. The real key is to avoid becoming a minority in your own country)

WRONG……Metro Vancouver…Asian 36% Get your facts right before spewing. PS: We’re all HUMANS! Moron!

    • Posted by E vilo, at Reply

      +Sean Armstrong
But English Western culture is and has always been a minority culture in Montreal. Street signs are in French. You are worried about English disappearing, but it’s the most dominant language in the world. It will be transformed eventually when integrating other cultures, but in 500 years, there will only be one language on Earth. You are worried about your city de-Americanizing, but everyone else in the world is worried about their city Americanizing.
You can either embrace and feel comfortable in cultural changes or you can be grumpy about it and tell the kids to get off your lawn.

I’m not sure how you would know that doointhedoo is treating humans like a disease and if it’s mother nature (your comment was directed at) you are howling into the void. ‘She’s’ not listening. ‘She’ doesn’t care. If she was listening and could answer you, in words you could understand, she would say, “Stop behaving like one then!”

TYT: “Just becuase China is not taking action doesn’t mean we get to turn around and say: Welp, we’re not going to do anything either.”

What the f*** are you talking about? China and India got off free with that bulls*** Paris Deal while we just tossed jobs out the window towards the unemployment office. We are relying on foreign energy when we have more than enough here, and under the Paris Agreement we would have to contribute Billions of tax payers dollars to other countries inorder to help them reduce their carbon emissions. This deal would costs jobs, raise the price of electricty and hurts our economy…so that in 100 years the worlds oceans would not see a three sheet of paper increase from melting ice? That is all our efforts would stop from happening. It’s Bulls***. Until China and India do their part to curb emmisions as well there is no need to send miners and their familes to the Welfare Line. I know the Left wants to help the planet for future generations, but people have got to f***ing eat today. I’m all for saving the planet, but this deal you’re defending does virtually nothing in that aspect but hurt us here at home.
