" Genesee Area Prosecutor David Leyton, who in 2016 began investigatingthe Flint water crisis, claimed he made use of project funds for a collection of out-of-state trips in 2015 for conferences that do not appear to have existed, TYT National politics has found out while combing via project money records.

First chosen as Genesee Region Prosecutor in 2004, Leyton was offered a $45,000 raising in 2015 to at the same time act as Firm Guidance for the county. In this additional duty, Leyton gets and manages grievances regarding public officials' campaign finance records.

However the new inquiries regarding his own project financing filings are elevating concerns regarding the intrinsic dispute of rate of interest his double functions create. In 2016, Leyton submitted reports specifying he utilized project funds for at least five out-of-state journeys in between January as well as June designated as "NDAA-travel."" *.

Daily reminder that *black democrats* are responsible for this crisis…

You’re the blithering idiot. There was a special city manager assigned by the Governor which is a Republican and he appointed a Republican. It was then that the decision was made to switch the water without adding the necessary additives to protect the pipes so they wouldn’t bleed lead into the water. Stop calling people names and do your homework.

    • Posted by Clark Townsend, at Reply

John Smash this is not true. stop the lies. the administrator picked by Rick Snyder made the decision for the switch but did not want to pay for the additives to make the water safe.

Damien Hailey. Amen! There is a wonderful old European painting showing a corrupt mayor being flayed alive by a citizens council. Imagine what would happen if we wasted these crooks?

Jackie Andrea. It comes around on TYT posts and leaves heartless, soulless drivel such as above. It is either a troll or a sociopath. Either way it serves no useful purpose and its avitar bums me out because I really like that part of the movie. Glad to know it is in the minority.

Rusty Shackleford – Yes, the majority of Flint government officials are Dems. However, the management of the city was taken over by a person appointed by the Republican governor of Michigan. The manager appointed by the governor is the one under whose authority the change in operation of the water system was made that resulted in drawing water from a different source and reducing the maintenance and monitoring of the water system. That person is also the one who initially colluded with the Republican governor to cover-up the extent of the problem and delay release of information about the problem and is the one who has been continuing to collude with the governor to delay repairs as well as to delay or refuse to provide filters and drinking water. Additionally, the fact that the Flint city government is Democrat played a part in Congressional Republicans refusing to pass emergency legislation that would have helped the people of the city and would have begun repairs. It is also the Republican governor and his appointed city manager who delayed starting repairs even after the Federal government agreed to provide emergency funds.

No points to you for attempting to politically deflect accountability for the Flint water problem.

The thing all the corrupt politicians have, is that they are bought and owned by corporations. When they blur the line between government and corporations the inevitable result is fascism.
