Fake cops claims are more challenging to think when the video cameras are rolling. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us what you believe in the comment section listed below.

" 6 people who were detained at a recent Flint city center meeting will certainly not encounter state charges.

The Genesee Region prosecutor has decreased to submit charges, however the protesters might still be prosecuted by the city for misdemeanors.

Attorney Greg Gibbs of the ACLU represents 5 of the 6 people entailed.

The meeting was kept in a church, and the apprehensions occurred after one of them grumbled that city center conferences must not be held in churches.

Gibbs claims the arrests were wrong.

" What I saw was one person revealed her displeasure with the location, the church location, as well as asked that in the future, conferences not be kept in a church," he claims.

" There was some applause, and at that point cops started ordering individuals out and jailing them. It's virtually like the cops were imposing the church's regulations of rules, and neglected that they were in a public forum."

Gibbs claims he really hopes the city will go down the matter too." *.

Great reporting Jordan, if it wasnt for you those people would have gotten arrested by the cops for bullshit non-existent charges the cops would have lied about what actually happened and none of use would have known about it. awesome work!

I’d file a lawsuit against the city for violation of my rights. They lied and arrested people in order to prevent them for speaking.

Id report a lot of people in the US for human rights violations to the UN. America is a massive abuser of human rights. Need to be held to account for abusing Americans, also immigrants and refugees.

A lawsuit is the only way to deter them from doing it again. Fire the police too. They are stealing from the taxpayers by cashing their paychecks while neglecting their jobs.

How stupid are these scumbag cops??? Cussing in church?!?!?! Seriously? These idiots need to be fired immediately.

    • Posted by MrJJ6640, at Reply

its not the cops its the leaders of the area.

    • Posted by Glen Gerod, at Reply

DISCO – No man, the buck stops with the cops. They are the boots on the ground, and ANYBODY with a brain, let alone a supposed law enforcement professional will know that OBVIOUSLY things like “cussing in church” or “being male while wearing hat in church” or “raising your voice at a political town hall meeting where you are protesting being poisoned” are NOT criminal offenses. The dumb cops didn’t even bother trying to make up charges against these people. That is how much of a police state we are in now. Cops are just like “ok, these people are being disruptive to the powers that be, lets just arrest them and thrown them in jail”. No thought of law, or charges, or anything. Just dumb thugs acting out their basic training of collaring and incarcerating, no questions asked and no thought put into the process.

Can’t they sue the scum for false arrest? Great work Cenk.

    • Posted by Megalus Doomslayer, at Reply

Of course they can sue, right before they get their heads busted in for exercising their rights.

What about suits against the cops for false arrest / false imprisonment / deprivation of Liberty / kidnap / abuse of process / charging city officials (who were there and oversaw and approved of the ‘hat off in church’ nonsense and arrests) with a civil suit alleging misfeasance in public office?

    • Posted by Megalus Doomslayer, at Reply

Don’t forget about the infringement of their first amendment rights.

    • Posted by Chadford Green, at Reply

GreyGeneral Actually the Messiah told all the Apostles to arm themselves as they went about preaching. So having a gun in church isn’t that far off.

      Luke 22:35-36
[35]And he said unto them, When I sent you without purse, and scrip, and shoes, lacked ye any thing? And they said, Nothing.
[36]Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.

Linda Jones Jordan is great, but I am not going to stop questioning everything and everyone. That is what Trump supporters do. They fallow Trump blindly. Don’t get me wrong though. I love TYT. I still question them at times

    Disrespecting the church?
I find it ironic that the Police Chief standing in front of the alter was wearing two pistols and a Maze canister.
Police issue is for one pistol. Who does he think he is. General Patton?

    • Posted by Liz Lee, at Reply

fOR a dozen or so poisoned soccer moms. It is ridiculous how paranoid police are of the public. It is fine to be prepared but if you come into a church where people are protesting pollution and yet you bring that many guns it creates a bad mood. militarization of the police is a really bad habit in these situaitons. you act like it was a hostage negotiation, not just observing a peaceful prtoest.
i think police need to be at protests but they have to accept them as normal… not dart around like greyhounds on crack. if this were a concert or a pta meeting would they have bothered arresting someone for wearing a hat in a church. guys hair probably fell out because of the poison.
