Macron is the biggest crony for the establishment ever. Melenchon and Hamon were the best. Melenchon lost out by 1.7% and was the best candidate.

    • Posted by Herkus, at Reply

Melenchon was a borderline communist, no thanks.

    • Posted by TheTruthWillSetYouFree AtLast, at Reply

lol all the establishment had to do was stop mass immigration and they wouldn’t of had these issues. This open border nonsense is killing them. That’s the only thing they had to do . What a bunch of idiots.

Wow ! Your political compass is wacked. Mélenchon is not to the left of Bernie…. in fact, look at the real political compass wich go further than just left and right, mélenchon would be up compared to Bernie but pretty much on the same column.

    • Posted by Starsmiter, at Reply

yeah i agree. he isn’t that authoritarian though. still libertarian. Wants to have a new constitution to make our republic more democratic 😉

    • Posted by Perry Ramstad, at Reply

In any case, I stand by my descriptor that Melenchon is the Bernie Sanders of France as Le Pen is the French Donald Trump. If Macron loses to Le Pen, then he will be the French equivalent of Hillary

Cenk, i urge you to do more research. Macron is an establishment centrist candidate, he does not consider himself left or right. A balirite figure if you will, similar to Bill Clinton.

It’s easier to say that people just want change

    • Posted by timou9000, at Reply

This. TYT are always trying to get us to beleive that only they tell us the truth, sometimes they do a great job, mainly with justice issues in the US. Calling Macron “far left” is totally untrue, he is not even “left”, he is centrist, and if anything (imo) a little more right than left. The far left was represented by Melenchon who placed forth. To add insult to injury Cenk calls Macron “anti-establishment” he is the purest fruit of the establishement I’ve ever seen, he’s a BANKER by trade ffs. just because he doesn’t belong to either of the traditional two parties in France, doesn’t make him “anti-establishment”… it just means he wanted to win by stealing votes from both of them. I really hope tyt make a new post correcting this one, as i’m sure they realise they have made a mistake her, and are spreading falsehoods. PS : I live in France.

The only reason WWIII HASN’t kicked off quite yet, is because NATO is waiting to see if they can drags France into a war with Russia.

That WILL NEVER happen with Le Pen. She is a TRUE nationalist.

A vote for macron is a vote for #whitegenocide.

Depends. He is not ultra left wing or ultra right wing. He did not run for one of the two big parties. Just because Melenchon and Le Pen are more extreme in their views doesn’t make Macron establishment.

    • Posted by Husnain Mahomed, at Reply

bongo155 his economic policy is more corporatist them Hollande. Wants to guy strong labour rights in France, lower taxes for the corporations and is a banker with close ties to several big Banks. He is establishment.

Yeah, limiting immigration, after France took so many in already, is crazy. When did you regressives forget that immigration is a privilege and not a right?

    • Posted by 14loosecannon, at Reply

But which policies exactly? I may not be part of the French working class but I’m British, and we should be a lesson to those that would follow right wing populists off a cliff. They promise the moon on a stick and prey on our worst prejudices (mostly regarding immigration). The idea that it’s actually the worst off who are responsible for all of our problems, not those in power. What an incredible lie that is. My problem with her is the same as with Farage and Trump, they lie to the working class while protecting their real friends, the actual establishment elites.
