Informing citizens you're doing them a solution and generally they require you greater than you need them is a suspicious political technique. Ana Kasparian, John Iadarola, as well as Michael Shure, hosts of The Young Turks, discuss. Tell us just what you assume in the comment area below.

" A Republican congressman stated at a town hall that it was "bullcrap" that his constituents paid his income, since he had paid sufficient federal taxes to have actually properly paid his own method.

Rep. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) made that case, and a similar one about effectively paying for his own health care, in 2 town hall occasions, recordings which were later published online.

" You stated you spend for me to do this," he said in one recorded exchange, published online Monday. "Bull crap, I paid for myself. I paid enough tax obligations prior to I ever got below as well as remain to via my company to pay my very own income. This is a service. No one right here pays me to do it. I do it as an honor as well as a service."

" I'm simply stating, this is a service for me, not a career, and I thank God this isn't really exactly how I earn a living," he added after objection from participants.

One constituent demanded that Mullin "quit the $178,000 after that," most likely describing the income for members of Congress as well as senators, which is $174,000.

" I have before, I've actually paid it back," Mullin reacted." *.

Corporate capitalists control our politicians, not the people. Only Marxist theory can overthrow fascism

    • Posted by John Sanchez, at Reply

LOL! Politicians control corporations, not the other way around. Marxism is a division of fascism, dumbass troll.

    • Posted by Anthony Calvero, at Reply

John Sanchez politicians control corporations? I’ve never heard this theory before xD

    • Posted by Cat Pool, at Reply

John Sanchez Politicians DON’T control corporations…. Corporations do control politicians.

    • Posted by lilwitt420, at Reply

John Sanchez no corporation most certainly without a single doubt in my mind control politicians. why the Koch brothers are so relevant?? they aren’t politicians. why do u think trump gave Internet providers the right to sell your personal info WITH ONLY %6 APPROVAL?? because time Warner Comcast and Verizon paid every single Republican senator to do so. McConnell got 250k from Internet lobbyists. There’s a list on the Internet of what each Republican was paid while every single democrat voted against it. I’ve never been more certain about something in my life about politics. corporations run the country. why else do you think BP funds climate change studies and those studies happen to be the only ones saying that global warming isn’t man made. big business runs the country and that’s a fact

Why are republican politicians such evil people?

    • Posted by omnoproxy leet, at Reply

and the success is what exactly? because our infrastructure gets a grade of D, trillions of our tax dollars are being wasted on botched military actions and many countries around the world either hate or laugh at us or both.

I think what he’s insinuating is that taxpayers don’t pay as much as big donors do. That’s another reason to get money out of politics. He must be a moron to think that he’s paid enough taxes to pay for his own salary. He also doesn’t seem to understand the basic understanding of how & why insurance works.

    • Posted by Loran T, at Reply

naejin I think the way he sees it is that his company and himself pays millions in taxes and since he only gets a 6 figures salary now and some health benefits, ignoring the fact that his “taxes are diluded in the roads and other services that he use and not only his salary….

Dude, the taxes that you paid in the past have been spent. You know, on other public ‘services’ other than you. Like that big bomb your boys just dropped. You have yet to earn your salary. Shut up and get to work.

    • Posted by Polaide, at Reply

True, and furthermore running a government includes other expenses than just the salaries of the elected.

  13. Posted by datboyjeff, at Reply
