Exactly how do the abundant constantly manage to get their effective tax price so much less than the real tax price? Cenk Uygur, John Iadarola, and also Nomi Konst, hosts of The Young Turks, review. Inform us exactly what you believe in the comment area listed below.

" President Trump wrote off more than $100 million in service losses to minimize his government tax obligations in 2005, according to types revealed on Tuesday night: an uncommon look at files that he had actually chosen not to reveal considering that coming to be a candidate for the nation's greatest workplace.

Mr. Trump paid $38 million in federal income tax obligations on documented revenue of $150 million, an efficient tax rate of 25 percent, inning accordance with types revealed on Rachel Maddow's MSNBC program. By claiming losses, Mr. Trump apparently saved millions of bucks in taxes that he would certainly otherwise have actually owed.

The White House responded without also waiting on the program to air, providing a declaration that seemed to validate the authenticity of the forms even as it safeguarded Mr. Trump and also assaulted MSNBC for advertising them. "Before being elected head of state, Mr. Trump was one of one of the most successful businessmen worldwide, with an obligation to his business, his household and also his employees to pay say goodbye to tax obligation than legitimately required," the declaration stated.

The White Residence explained business losses as a "massive devaluation for building and construction," yet did not specify. Along with the government earnings taxes in 2005, the declaration claimed, he paid "tens of countless dollars in other taxes, such as sales as well as import tax obligations and employment tax obligations, and also this unlawfully published return confirms simply that."" *.

why are you blaming Trump for tax laws? idiots…

    • Posted by mikesdav, at Reply

You are fighting the wrong person here, I’m not saying he has to pay more taxes than he owes. Even Bernie was able to take big deductions. The real problem here is he was able to use deductions that almost nobody but the extremely rich could take. Its unlikely he is going to change the tax laws for the better.

    • Posted by SupaDr00g, at Reply

No anyone can use them, the difference is the poor aren’t liable for the taxes he got deductions on in the first place so they don’t need to use them.

    • Posted by mikesdav, at Reply

That doesn’t make sense, i was referring to the deduction he was able to get based on not developing housing projects on his golf course. Deductions like that shouldn’t exist. Anyways I don’t understand why people feel the taxes for everyone should be lower when we have a deficit to pay off. Taxes should only lower once we have gotten rid of that and when we get rid of real money waste like medicaid getting ripped off by high drug costs or military budgets. The only way america can be “great” again is if we aren’t in debt.

Aszhara The far right party you are talking about in the netherlands didnt do as well as they thought but they still are the second biggest party in the Netherlands they gained 5 seats in parliament . First is a right wing establishment party with 31 seats.
The 3rd party is a christian centre right party and the 4th is a left leaning progressive party. The green party is at the 5th place with 19 seats. I admit that its more then they ever had and more then they ever will have because of the ridiculous plans they had. All of their gains comes from the leftist progressive party called PvdA who lost over 29 seats and all of these voters went to D66, GroenLinks and Denk.
The left lost a lot of ground this election. The media likes to call this a victory against right wing populism but its not. They just held the populists out of government but the influence it has over the other right wing partys is remarkable. Anyway its going to be interesting this new reality we are living in and I dont believe for a second that Le Pen is as chanceless as you think it is.

He actually paid a much higher tax rate than Sellout Sanders who just bought his third house. I’m from Liechtenstein and work in a bank so I know a bit about taxes.

    • Posted by Amycus89, at Reply

Judging from your comment, apparently you DONT know much about how taxes work. At all.

    • Posted by rouge1ful, at Reply

+Jacob Hansen oh no, the travesty he paid 5% lower in federal income tax in what he normally would after getting $200,000 an income that year. But these are Bernie’s most recent taxes what Trump clearly leaked himself is from over 10 years ago we don’t know how much he actually pays now otherwise he would have released his most recent tax returns. But they probably won’t because I’m sure a lot of them will look like when he’s lost close to a billion dollars 20 years ago, especially after the housing market crashed. And getting a hundred million dollar tax write-off after saying that he wasn’t going to build houses on his golf course that he was never going to do in the first place is stupid, and certainly not worthy of it falling under the category of charity.

Ahh, don’t forget, it was Trump who demanded to see Obama’s long-form birth certificate, even though all Hawaiians can run for any job or political office by showing their Certification of Live Birth that Obama provided in 2008.

Trump not only said Obama was hiding something, he even said his team was discovering things in Hawaii that were “amazing.”

We already know Trump made a deal with the government so he didn’t have to pay ANY taxes for eighteen years after his billion-dollar business deal went sour in the 1990s. Did Trump tell anyone about that? Nope. Would we have found out if he released his tax returns? Yup.

Now Trump is the only president we’ve ever had with business dealings all over the world, and he’s also the first president in 40 years to not release his tax returns. The republicans wouldn’t even let Jimmy Carter own a peanut farm while he was president because of the conflict of interest. If Trump releases his tax returns, he knows we’ll see his conflicts of interest legally prevent him from being president, unless he gives up the office.

    • Posted by demoskunk, at Reply

He’s probably hiding the other years because his income went down drastically and his ego won’t let him admit that he’s only worth like, 2 billion instead of 10 billion. That’s my guess. I don’t think it’s because he was breaking the law and suddenly not paying taxes those other years.

Keith Demons That report doesn’t say anything about refugees. In fact, it says that immigrant households from the middle east (South Asia) require less assistance on average than native households.

Your conclusion that 100% of refugees are dependent on financial aid for life is not supported by this evidence, nor does this evidence even remotely suggest such a possibility.

Keith Demons If you read the report, you would know that Iran and Afghanistan were included in the region of South Asia.

    • Posted by F. Fothel, at Reply

      Keith Demons BTW,
“This study implies that two competing narratives about immigration are both true. Immigrants do indeed have a strong attachment to the labor force, as immigration advocates often point out. At the same time, however, immigrants consume a large amount of welfare spending, just as critics claim. The reason that both narratives are true is that the American welfare system has become increasingly focused on buttressing low-wage workers rather than supporting non-workers. Put more simply, welfare and low-wage work go together. Just as natives with low levels of education and large numbers of children are apt to consume welfare, immigrants with those same characteristics are also likely to be on welfare. A strong work ethic does not change this reality.” (from the research you’ve provided.)
