Will the existing crop of business democrats in congress put up a fight versus Trump's oligarch-friendly tax strategy? Will they take a nap as well as rest this out? Cenk Uygur as well as John Iadarola, hosts of The Young Turks, review. Tell us exactly what you assume in the remark section listed below.

" The Trump management unveiled its guaranteed tax proposal Wednesday. And it's a whopper. One Trump consultant called it "one of the biggest tax obligation cuts" in American background. So below are the wide strokes:

* Cuts the company tax price from 35% to 15%.
* Lowers the variety of income brackets from seven to three (10%, 25% as well as 35%).
* Doubles the typical deduction (presently $6,300 for individuals and also $12,600 for married couples submitting jointly).
* Reverses the Alternative Minimum Tax obligation, which required wealthier individuals to pay higher tax obligation expenses.
* Repeals the estate tax, which affects estates with assets over $5.4 million.
The plan might deal with an uphill struggle in Congress. Cost estimates of the proposal aren't out yet, however Democrats, and some Republicans, currently see red (ink), saying it will enhance the public debt by cutting tax obligations without decreasing costs. Others say the strategy adds up to a large present for billionaires as well as big business. The White Home had actually intended to change Obamacare prior to pursuing tax changes, and that still could happen since members of the traditional Liberty Caucus currently claim they are on board with a new health care plan." *.

+quaxk I figured they would virtue signal a bit and possibly call the plan “racist” or something else that’s crazy.

Trump supporters are dumb and believe everything Trump tells them and he just proves time and time again that he only cares about himself.

Corporate Democrats like $$Cory Booker$$ will not fight. They will -become a rubber stamp for- “compromise” with the Trumpublicans and call it being a “moderate.”

    • Posted by FriedmanPinochet, at Reply

…yup, that’s why Democrats keep losing. They don’t stand for anything, the voters know it, and they are too cowardly to stand for progressive values because they want corporate donor money..

    • Posted by LudwigVonFaeces, at Reply

Cory Booker will be trying to take credit for it if enough Democrats help Republicans get this thing signed into law.

Two key words in any tax discussion: “Taxable Income”. Rich people have countless vehicles to reduce their amount of taxable income. This is why the tax rate reduction for them is even more of a slap in the face. They want a lower rate on that relatively small amount they have to pay taxes on.

    • Posted by A S, at Reply

You have no clue. Rich people pay the vast majority of the taxes in this country. Almost 50% of people pay $0 federal tax.

  8. Posted by Y2K, at Reply

Reducing brackets has got to be the most boneheaded idea in the world…Brackets make the system progressive, don’t sacrifice that to make it easier for some idiot to calculate his taxes.

    • Posted by wichhouse, at Reply

A progressive ideology is the ONLY way economics makes sense, so I’m not sure how you came to that made up idea, quaxk.

    • Posted by Y2K, at Reply

“Reducing brackets” is code for tax breaks for the rich. Unless tax rates are increased simultaneously, it’s impossible to reduce brackets without cutting taxes for the rich.

quaxk, piss off you regressive turd.

I hate how he uses the phrase “they’re robbing us 7 trillion dollars” No cenk. People will be keeping the money that they earned. You’re just mad because you cannot have your socialist utopia when the government doesn’t have money to keep expanding and expanding

    • Posted by wichhouse, at Reply

John Black No they don’t. Rich people have been leeching off the rest of us for decades. Time for them to step up.

LOL! Shut up, shill. Your rich and powerful masters are getting sucked dry by you shills, Wich.

    • Posted by mus5599, at Reply

Canaan take it out the first time it gets taxed. The first bite at the apple should be much bigger then. I just don’t like the idea of taking a second bite. BUT the rich made sure the first bite is really small, so as a result, I’m fine with the second bite.

Another thing Democrats lack the balls to constantly bring up like RepubliCunts did with Obama and his birth certificate.

  11. Posted by John Brady, at Reply

In France in the 1700s, the Church and the Royalty were exempt from taxes.  The third estate (common people) paid all the taxes and the government was almost broke.  Does this sound familiar?  Maybe in a few years we bring back the guillotine.

only in progressive insano land is letting people keep their money “robbery”.

    • Posted by Whytebio, at Reply

I know right. Letting people keep the money they earn is a “childs view”. It would be much better to steal it with the force of the state and threat of jail-time.

    • Posted by Archaeopter X, at Reply

The view that taxation is immoral is childish and unAmerican. You’re a selfish turd!

    • Posted by Whytebio, at Reply

Nope, don’t remember saying that. I’m happy with 10-25% for middle income earners, 0% for those below 24K and 15% for businesses.. You’re the one that said the idea of letting people keep their money was “a childs view”.

    • Posted by Archaeopter X, at Reply

When you said “only in progressive insano land is letting people keep their money “robbery” I took it to mean that think youpeople should be able to keep “their” money. Someone more childish than you can argue that your 15% is arbitrary and is theft and that you are from progressive insano land…

    • Posted by Whytebio, at Reply

They could, and I’d argue against them. But Cenks entitlement and belief that allowing people to keep more of their money is somehow “robbing” them because the government doesn’t suck it up into their machine, is insane.

Queen Queen How are they getting richer at YOUR expense? They don’t receive your tax money. You receive theirs. If anything you are benefiting from them.
