I hope so. The pipeline is a way more environmentally friendly and cost effective way to do it.

Icearchon fossil fuels are the cleanest energy source we have that can provide energy for billions of people.
Until something comes along that can deal with amount of energy we need then fossil will have to do.

    • Posted by Paul Swanee, at Reply

+Icearchon Based on what evidence should we be curbing petroleum consumption? If you hadn’t noticed theres a major lack in electrical vehicle supply, and the US consumption of petroleum is increasing. Why would consumption ever decrease when there is no viable cost effective substitute for the commodity?

    • Posted by Edward Bernayse666, at Reply

over the past several years, there’s been over 3000 oil spills having to do with pipelines. that’s something the corporate news will never mention.

    • Posted by Benito Mussolini, at Reply

@Dabiel Because Nuclear doesn’t exist. Also solar is a more reliable and cheeper option then you think.

    • Posted by Paul Swanee, at Reply

+Benito Mussolini I’m sure weve been over this before. The cost of solar will not make it relevant for decades. The fact is the USA does not have enough solar infrastructure to meet consumption demand. In 2016 solar accounted for 56,221 GW of electricity compared to 3,913,000 GW of electricity consumption demand. Solar accounts for just 1% of net production, and it has reached this point over 30 years of technology. The time it takes to install enough units to make renewables match consumption demand is decades from now. 2050 is a lofty goal.

    Trumpcare lost!

    • Posted by Capitalist Bender, at Reply

Jokes on you though. Obamacare will collapse on its own.

    • Posted by RandomRobin, at Reply

People have said that for 7 years, it’s still going on strong.

    • Posted by Capitalist Bender, at Reply

Except it hasn’t. Premiums up by 3x from original cost.
Obamacare was designed to fail to usher in singlepayer.
That single payer plan is finished now that Hillary isn’t president.
Even the Clintons expressed how much OC was a failure. See the pattern? Politics is nothing more than a reality TV show.

    • Posted by acceptjesusorburn, at Reply

Denial is the first stage of grief. It’s cruel that Trump is going to have to let people take a huge hit as collateral before idiots like you decide to educate yourselves on the dire situation of Obamacare.

    • Posted by Edward Bernayse666, at Reply

obamacare actually has been horrible for a lot of people. i know someone who was forced to switch and her premiums went up 3x and then she got breast cancer which meant…….:/ she actually met obama too once because her dad was a politician. she hate obama with a passion now because of obamacare. i’m more left leaning but i do see the many serious flaws in obamacare.

Well Trump signed some thing that that is making the pipeline happen didn’t he? What can we do about that?

    • Posted by Brian Currie, at Reply

Annah Norfleet lots. If he respected the sovereignty of native peoples the pipeline would hault .

    • Posted by Annah Norfleet, at Reply

Doesn’t seem like he does =/

    • Posted by Edward Bernayse666, at Reply

trump and his buddies would probably laugh at video coverage of protestors being shot and ran over by bulldozers. i don’t think he’s going to be swayed to switch over and support DAPL.

I agree with divestment, but I think people should open accounts at their local credit unions where governing and policy happens at the local level.

    • Posted by Blaze, at Reply

Christian B yes, that’s what’s important credit unions are overall better for you if you want to actually save and build towards a financially prosperous future.

Break up the oil oligarchy (Enbridge, Energy Transfer, Trump, ND Gov, Alt Right, Oil Police State etc.) and the corrupted Big Banks (Wells Fargo, Citibank, TD Securities etc.) who are funding the unconstitutional pipelines and violent police states. BTW, Trump is making oil deals with Putin and the Saudis behind the backs of Americans.

  9. Posted by chickendinner2012, at Reply

Divest from these banks and push you officials to divest from them for destroying our environment and threatening our drinking water

    • Posted by Peace Dove, at Reply

    • Posted by Paul Swanee, at Reply

Heres the problem. Wells Fargo is invested in projects that harm the environment, but they also hold investments in renewable projects as well, and will probably provide more funds than this firm will ever in its lifetime. So whats the better option? Provide little money for little to no growth for renewables, or provide investments in a company that highly benefits both industries.

    • Posted by chickendinner2012, at Reply

Force Wells Fargo to divest, one of the biggest 17 invested in the pipeline just divested yesterday.

    • Posted by Shimohi Kagami, at Reply

Isn’t that pretty much what a credit union is?

  17. Posted by Blacks For Trump, at Reply

I hope it is. I hope my bank is using my deposited funds to make loans to others, which is the purpose of what a bank is supposed to do. No surprise libtards don’t know this.
