Capitalism with sufficient regulation is the way to go

    • Posted by Egg Head, at Reply

      I.e. America.

    • Posted by Tanner William, at Reply

“Sufficient regulation” – is a vague word, and can be interpreted in different meanings, for people saying taxation is theft, it will never be enough

    • Posted by fl00fydragon, at Reply

what hppens when the mathematical limit of the equation capital/labor tends towards x/0 over time due to automation

would you retain money and jobs if 40% of the population was unemployable out of no fault of their own ?
      what about 60 or pessimistically 80% ?
      (estimates for 2030, 2050 respectively)

I dont think is possible to sabe capitalism. The working class mus build a system that works for every one and notbonly for elitist

Capitalism is the only system that works

The Chinese monarchy lasted for 2500 years, the Egyptians lasted for 6600 years, Capitalism? We’re about 220 years into that system

    • Posted by fl00fydragon, at Reply

one of many systems used in history
the second shortest in duration so far

      quick question
how will it survive automation taking over more than 50% of all jobs while cybernetis and genetic engineering could ensure indefinately extended lifespans for all but waseconomically possible for the elites only ?

as i see it you get a population with nothing to loose and a guarantee for civil war

      I’d prefer we avoid that
a peaceful transtition over the next decade after the orange bufoon would be the best solution

Capitalism has to go. You can put regulations on it but guess what just like they do before they will hack away at it and then concentrate all the wealth in the hands of the few all over again because that’s what capitalism is about. Let alone it automation going to kill the money system all together anyway. That’s why I say we need to embrace Marxism and then moving to a resource-based economy

    • Posted by Sacred, Nothing is, at Reply

siegfried greding Naw the USSR was a perfect Marxist utopia… that’s why we should attempt it again unless you want another 70 million + dead.

    • Posted by siegfried greding, at Reply

Sacred, Nothing is and once again Russia was not a Marxist state if it was the power and means of production would have been in the hands of the workers in worker coops. we know it wasn’t.

How do you save capitalism? You don’t. All you can do is slow down the process of it reaching its toxic end stages. It will still get there eventually.

Yawn– Here is another story you won’t see on TYT–>> Jan. 30th — Fatal (black-on-White) high school stabbing leaves Westchester enclave shaken to its core—In the final moments of her life, 16-year-old Valaree Schwab was just trying to get back her house keys.

The New Rochelle High School junior had slipped out for lunch at around noon on Jan. 10 despite a policy against leaving campus at the award-winning school.

She was soon knocked to the ground and robbed at a nearby McDonald’s by a gang of BLACK school bullies. Then her teenage tormentors — who harassed her on a daily basis about her tattoos, love for the band Nirvana and affinity for social activism — proceeded to stalk her for the next hour.

They followed her into a Subway sandwich shop and then a Dunkin’ Donuts — where she would spend her last conscious seconds gasping for air, clutching the hand of a young cashier as blood poured from two stab wounds to her heart and lungs.

Capitalism hoards wealth and concentrate it. That’s why the workplace is essentially a dictatorship where the decision making is based by a few executives and shareholders.

It’s funny how we tout democracy but leave it out at the door when we get to work. We should democratize the workplace i.e a worker-cooperative. Where workers participates in decision-making in a democratic fashion in the place they work in.

    • Posted by OneLonePatriot, at Reply

Azor Ahai Business owners are the ones who take on the risk and provide the capital to start the business. My father owns a business and it has taken him 15 years of stress and hard work to get to where he now employs 10 people providing the income for all their families. He is always stressed about the fact that his decisions impact the lives of so many others and he sometimes wishes that he could be a simple employee who clocks out and does not have to worry after his shift is over, when he has a bad month it is not uncommon for my dad to for go pay in order to ensure his employees are paid, but in the end he loves the fact that his income is in his own hands and takes great pride in the fact that he has built something great. I’m glad that I’m able to work for him and the fact that I may one day be able to provide incomes for so many others. My father hates how so many seem to be ignorant of the work what goes into starting and running a business and how much stress and extra work goes into running said business or corporation. People who build things deserve the fruit of their labors and if some takes the extra effort to build something or invest their own money into something they deserve more than someone who has very little invested in something and who can clock out and not worry about supporting the incomes of themselves and others. Sorry for the wall of text but I hope to help inform communists about the perspective of the “bourgeoisie”.

yay great idea. if I work as a janitor at a hospital with no training should get paid the same and have the same decision making as a surgeon

    • Posted by Michael Robertson, at Reply

OneLonePatriot – these people are morons and only see the workplace as a ceo making millions and everyone else making 30k a year

    • Posted by Azamat Bagatov, at Reply

What makes you think ordinary workers at a business can make better decisions then the people that are hired and trained to actually make the decisions ??
Its the employers choice if he wants to let employees be part of the decision making.. Is that not logical ? should you not earn the employers trust and respect before getting the privilege of making decisions that may harm his business ?

Letting capitalism run unchecked is like letting a fire run rampant through a city. Fire can be extremely beneficial when controlled, but when it is not then it consumes and destroys everything in its path.

    • Posted by GST1974, at Reply

The same people that pervert capitalism in the background are supposed to fix it? The more regulations and taxes you want, the more they will be USED AGAINST YOU to create bigger divisions and more monopolies for the rich and powerful. Since the people at the top DO NOT PLAY BY THE SAME RULES, the only way to fix capitalism is to eliminate the vast majority of rules and regulations TO CREATE AN EVEN PLAYING FIELD! Survival of the fittest so that both the top and bottom feeders have to actually work for a living rather than get hand outs. The federal reserve is a “semi-private” corporation, not a federal agency. The government itself is being run as a corporation. Sovereignty can only be gained when the people directly control their destiny through elected representatives with a fair voting system that takes all parties and candidates seriously with fair media coverage. Only a handful of corporations control the world’s big media outlets. Unless people have solid information they tend to make wrong decisions.

People like you are going to take a bad situation and make it worse!

    • Posted by God satan, at Reply

yeah capitalism can only exist in a controlled state but once you let it get out of control it devolves into corporatism

    • Posted by fl00fydragon, at Reply

what happens when yu have a better and more advanced alternative?
would you still use fire if you had access to clean and free fusion energy?

and what if the fire is no longer beneficial (for example the chimney it irreversibly damaged)

that’s what we are facing with automation

    • Posted by Azamat Bagatov, at Reply

Jacobb Watkins You see all these problems and suffering and you (Without evidence or reason) Automatically attribute it to capitalism and free trade.
What if i told you, people in these areas where starving and died of treatable illnesses 100 years ago, 150 years ago, 300 years ago and 3000 years ago.
Do more or less people die from starvation and treatable illnesses now then under communism or feudalism ? Far far less obviously.

    • Posted by Azamat Bagatov, at Reply

Jacobb Watkins you accuse me of not valuing human life whilst you want to throw away the very idea that has increased the standard of living for countless humans all around the globe.
You want to throw this away based on nothing else then your own selfish vision that utopia awaits when we get rid of the tool which let people become prosperous and productive.

When you base the value of your life on finances, then you’re doing life wrong. Work and money is secondary to the important things in life. Many a person dies very happy having worked hard their entire lives and raised a solid family, knowing two or three generations of their line, but not with a great deal of money.
