" On the mid-day of Might 1, Head of state Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, welcomed a top-level delegation of Saudis to an opulent function room beside the White Residence and delivered a vigorous pep talk: "Allow's obtain this done today."

Mr. Kushner was referring to a $100 billion-plus arms deal that the administration hoped to seal with Saudi Arabia in time to introduce it throughout Mr. Trump's see to the kingdom this weekend. The two sides went over a wish list that included aircrafts, ships and precision-guided bombs. Then an American official increased the suggestion of the Saudis' acquiring a sophisticated radar system created to reject ballistic rockets.

Noticing that the expense may be an issue, a number of management authorities stated, Mr. Kushner picked up the phone and also called Marillyn A. Hewson– the chief executive of Lockheed Martin, which makes the radar system– and also asked her whether she might reduce the price. As his visitors enjoyed slack-jawed, Ms. Hewson informed him she would certainly look into it, authorities said." *.

*”What we need to stand up and say is not only did they attack the USS Liberty, they did 9/11. They did it. I have had long conversations over the past two weeks with contacts at the Army War College, at its headquarters, Marine Corps and I made it absolutely clear in both cases that it is 100 percent certain that 9/11 was a Mossad operation. Period. And I said, you know, if Americans ever know that Israel did this, they’re gonna scrub them off the Earth, and they’re not gonna give a rat’s a$$ – forgive my language – what the cost is. They are not going to care. They will do it. And they should.”* ~Dr. Alan Sabrosky, ( Jewish ten-year US Marine Corps veteran, a graduate and former 5-year Director of Studies of the US Army War College). (March 14, 2010)

UhOh To do the bidding of the military industrial complex, who push for heavy neoconservative foreign policy. More than 100 military actions are happening overseas at any given time right now to secure resources and kill potential international enemies, that’s as deep-state as it gets nowadays.

    • Posted by UhOh, at Reply

Not saying self-dealing elements don’t exist within the various state departments. One of the biggest myths is to presume the culprit/enemies are one single monolithic entity. In reality, terms like “deep State” are as useful as “fake news”. The agencies and sub departments are often at odds. Just because Jared and some parties gain from the same actions doesn’t mean their interests will always be intersect.

    • Posted by perrin6, at Reply

the 911 attackers were reprehensible but to say they were cowards is just patently untrue.

    • Posted by Mirquella Santos, at Reply

They were cowards just like Isis and many Americans. Why? They attacked and killed many innocent women and children just like Americans who are massacring innocent women and children in the middle east. It doesn’t take much to kill women and children, you know.

Are we sure that all the weapons given to Saudi Arabia in 2012 are in Saudi Arabia? A percentage of them could have been given to ISIS.

And possibly more weapons given to the countries involved in the “Arab Spring” (which started in 2010 but the wave of initial revolutions and protests faded by mid-2012). It is possible that half of those weapons never touched Saudi Arabia and went straight to Syria and elsewhere

    • Posted by eraser101YT, at Reply

      You can say that again.

    • Posted by KingCobraJeff, at Reply

A great percentage of the weapons that we sold to the Saudis usually end up in the hands of terrorists in Yemen, Syria, Afghanistan, and other oppressive regimes. The US literally provides weapons to them and then turns around and wonders why uneducated village muslims then turn around and want to inflict terrorist wishes upon Americans after witnessing the death of their people by a drone.

    • Posted by eraser101YT, at Reply

Wikileaks released cables which prove we are arming and funding ISIS through Saudi Arabia.
I honestly believe Trump wanted to focus on America 1st domestic issues, rebuilding our economy and put an end to the axis of evil between ISIS puppets, the Saudis, Israel and the US corrupt establishment.
But he’s discovering that it’s a lot easier said than done. They have too much power over our establishment and the media, when Trump doesn’t do what they want they ramp up the Russia collusion bogus narrative and threaten him with impeachment. Trump needs to start locking people up for treason. Our government and media is overflowing with traitors and foreign agents, that is the real swamp which needs to be drained. I don’t think Trump was ready to tackle this mess, he’s alone and being cornered, even his own son in law is against him.

    • Posted by KingCobraJeff, at Reply

Actually, I believe that it comes down to Trump having a grip over his neck by the interests of Koch brothers in economic domestic policies and Israel has a grip over our necks in international policies. The CIA is not going to allow Trump to rock the boat because it is necessary to retain the cycle of creating more terrorism after being indoctrinated with disdainful western propaganda from recruiting ISIS members and other terrorist organizations.

    • Posted by eraser101YT, at Reply

The other obvious factor is of course our dependence on oil from the gulf states. Israel and the Saudis get their interests served, but we can’t ignore the fact that we are comfortable trading weapons for oil and accepting the hypocrisy of an alliance of convenience with the most despicable groups on the planet, who have an atrocious human rights record.
I agree that domestically, corporate oligarchs such as the koch brothers and their puppet politicians will use their weight to obstruct Trump from enacting any form of protectionism for our workers or securing the border. They are making a killing from cheap labor in the form of illegal workers, offshoring, importing h1b Indian workers and putting downward pressure on wages, forcing us to compete with 3rd world laborers in China who have no unions.

That’s a great point. War will create a lot of infrastructural damages and would destabilize civilization in the middle east. This will lead to a great migration of people, and most likely, they will be heading to Europe. I hope that Europeans do not make the mistake of choosing a Trump of their own.

The saudi’s hatch more hate of America than any other nation and their repressive government will fall. why do we always back the worst choice? money?

    • Posted by KennyT, at Reply

you got kicked out of Iran for screwing with their democracy and supporting a kingship that was easier to control for US interests. America meddled in Iran’s internal politics and that is how you lost that friendship.

    • Posted by Philemaphobia, at Reply

Under Ahmadinejad the country suffered a severe right wingy and hyperreligious backlash, though not as crazy as some American state politicians (mike pence to name the most prominent at this time) Rohani however is a progressive at least to Iran and the Middle East in general. Still there are severe problems like stoning homosexuals but it’s not like any other politician in Iran would stand up for gay rights as the majority of the people don’t support it. So what is it you want? A democracy where policy is based of the majority of people or a despot that forces unpopular legislation on them, like, let’s say, defunding planned parenthood for religious reasons?
