" SAN FRANCISCO (AP)– A government judge on Tuesday evening momentarily blocked the Trump management's decision to end a program shielding young immigrants from expulsion.

UNITED STATE District Court William Alsup approved a request by California and other plaintiffs to stop Head of state Donald Trump from ending the Deferred Activity for Childhood Arrivals program while their lawsuits play out in court.

Alsup said attorneys in favor of DACA plainly demonstrated that the young immigrants "were most likely to endure major, irreversible damage" without court action. The judge additionally stated the lawyers have a strong opportunity of being successful at test.

I completely agree that voilent immigrants should be deported, but why should hard workers be kicked out? Why should people that contribute to the economy be screwed? I’ve met illegal immigrants that contribute more to the economy than even myself. Why can’t we be nuanced when it comes to immigration?

    • Posted by Megan Henderson, at Reply

speaking of immigrants, look up a show called ‘adam ruins everything.’ they did an episode on immigration, and you can check out their facts for yourself since they provide them on screen and often bring a couple of respected experts onto the show as well.

Tell this a legal immigrant, who went through all the trouble to get legalized, only to see, that illegal immigrants get better treated.

    • Posted by Listenbuddy1, at Reply

Because they’re illegal. If you can’t expend the effort to come to this great country legally you haven’t earned the privilege to be here.

Megan Henderson well then they should plan around when they need to do what, we have laws for a reason and people shouldn’t be allowed to ignore the law because it’s inconvenient

Seems Trump’s track record with legal decisions has followed him from the private sector. Nice to see some positive consistency when it comes to him for a change. On the down side, without the ability to use DACA as a bargaining chip with the Democrats over immigration policies(not that he was gonna keep his promise to them this time either), his precious lil wall is once again dead in the water. At least until Mexico sends that first installment to pay for it, right?

That doesn’t even make sense, NK and SK already began their dialogue and are in the middle of talking about future military exercises to prevent confusion and also addressed the fact that the Olympics are upcoming and how to best avoid creating any tension during that time. If you’re 19, then you might not know that North Korea pulls this kind of bullshit after every election. This time has actually been far more peaceful as opposed to Obama’s introduction to Asian Politics when North Korea actually opened fire on South Korean personnel.

Secondly, are you aware that the Geneva Convention allows for reciprocal actions in the event of any CBRN attack or an attack that exceeds acceptable casualty limitations? That would mean that any nuclear option utilized by the North Korean’s can be matched by the conventional arsenal of the United States and it’s Allies, so long as the damage is not in excess of the original offense, any conventional option is open and the language used in the rule disturbingly omits any discussion on the use of nuclear weapons as an option, meaning there is actually room for interpretation.

I’d like to have you explain how building a wall along the Southern border of the United States is related to actions that take place across the Pacific Ocean. You compared two completely issues and treated them as if they were exactly the same.

Immigration is a more nuanced issue than “IF ILLEGAL THEN BAD”. Too many people struggle to comprehend this.

    • Posted by DriveInFreak, at Reply

Do you honestly think that people who think that rounding up and deporting millions of people and building a 2,650 mile wall is not only the right thing to do, but is even logistically possible can comprehend something?

  17. Posted by Yaume Lepire, at Reply

As much as Anti-Immigration Partisans might loath it, voluntary immigrants are always great for the economy.

    • Posted by Mark Mitchell, at Reply

Well yeah, big corporations love it when the wage market is depressed by large scale immigration. That’s why average wages haven’t gone up in real terms for decades.

    • Posted by Yaume Lepire, at Reply

No, actually. Modern immigrants are generally pretty qualified workers and tend to work professionally or even start small businesses. Guess where the stereotype of the foreign repairman or courier comes. Immigration, in history, has traditionally driven up wages. The number of immigrants per capita in the contemporary US is at an all time low and wages are stagnant. Of course, unions might help that, but they are awfully rare in the states compared to elsewhere.
