Medical corporation Stryker would love to see millions of Americans shed their health care since they would make money from it. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, simplifies. Tell us what you think in the comment area listed below.

" In its push to pass the American Healthcare Act (AHCA), one of the world's leading medical-technology business is making claims regarding Obamacare that are negated by the firm's own economic filings, according to documents assessed by TYT Politics.

Stryker Company CEO Kevin Lobo has actually made multiple declarations on national television regarding the adverse influence that Obamacare's tax obligation on medical equipment has carried his firm and the sector. Yet those cases seem undercut not just by the company's SEC filings, but likewise by statements made to Wall surface Road experts by Stryker's very own executives, including Lobo himself.

Lobo's opposition to Obamacare fixate its medical-device tax, which was included in support the expense of expanding protection as well as was predicted to internet $27 billion for that function. Medical-device makers were selected since they would take advantage of expanded insurance coverage.

The tax obligation was suspended for two years at the end of 2015 as well as would certainly be reversed completely by the AHCA

" The tax, truly, is a task killer. It's an advancement killer," Lobo told CNBC on Dec. 9, 2016. "Congress chose to suspend it. It had bipartisan support simply for suspension for a two-year period yet we look forward to, with the new management, a complete repeal."" *.

Malcolm Sprott That’s how markets work at their best. All you can do is regulate and tax.

    Single Payer > ObamaCare

+Brain Stem Soup. Are you sure about that? If your father were to pull out of his plan and put his money in a special savings account which he only touched for medical purposes, even after paying any ACA penalties, he would have about $8000 more per year to spend on healthcare than his plan provides.

Are you sure the $2000 isn’t your dad’s deductible? I find it hard to believe that even the worst healthcare plan would cover you for less than what you pay in premiums

The ACA was the first step in moving the country towards single payer. You really think Obama missed the opportunity? The ACA faced monumental resistance on it’s own, still does. Republicans were screaming about impeachment for it, calling him a dictator. Leaping to single payer would have been too much of an abrupt change for the “negro” in the white house. You’re essentially talking about dissolving private insurance companies, with all the lobbyists, you basically need overwhelming public support. Also, “this mess” would be a hell of a lot messier if it wasn’t for the ACA. Single payer wouldn’t have survived in the political climate 6 years ago, pre-bernie, or the almost hundred attempts to repeal by Republicans. Such things have to be done in baby steps, especially when there is massive resistance from the public, and private business sector. A lot has changed since then, the only reason single payer is even on the table now is because of the ACA, both of which have much more support than they did years ago. The ACA was their own dam bill and Republicans hated Obama for it, but it wasn’t enough even after they took majority. Single payer would have been killed the second they had the opportunity, and we’d be back at square one.

when have you ever heard of a medical company who makes medical devices lose money ever? especially since the ACA enables more people to have access to there medical devices, oh yeah, never. of course they lied, and laid off people to boost their profits.

Trump supporters like to call everyone a cuck. Well, explain how you still support a party that’s actively trying to kill you by gutting health care. Now THAT’S a cuck.

vick3d so a 15% of your population suffering and dying is an acceptable loss to you ?
no other civilised nation would accept this especially when that 15% translates to 50 million

here’s the best way to judge a system : remoove yourself completely and assume that you are going to be born at a random social stratum and that you only have the ability to choose in what kind of system you are born in

Every year 46,000 die every year from preventable and curable diseases and treatable injuries due to lack of access to affordable healthcare: more than the amount of American soldiers that died during the ENTIRE KOREAN WAR CONFLICT.

In what world is this acceptable?

Now it is obvious that single-payer is being opposed by both sides in Congress.

The answer is single-payer, and to get there, we must primary those who are comfortable with a status quo that allows so many to suffer.
