" The institution assistant pointed out in House Speaker Paul Ryan's now-infamous tweet for making an added $1.50 a week thanks to the Republican tax bill talked with CBS News Monday, and she had not been precisely thrilled.

" I'm truly stunned, actually. [People discussed in] the paragraph over … my quote and also the paragraph listed below my quote got hundreds a lot more. Hundreds," she said. "And I get a dollar-fifty more, so it reveals me [Ryan] could not have actually read the entire post."

The female, Julia Ketchum, informed the Associated Press last Thursday that she was "pleasantly surprised" to see a $1.50 rise in her paychecks, amounting to $78 a year, "which she claimed will certainly greater than cover her Costco subscription for the year," the AP reported.

However, as Ketchum told CBS News, individuals pointed out over as well as listed below her in the story both reportedly obtained an extra $200 in their paychecks.
Regardless, Ryan shared the AP tale Saturday morning and stated Ketchum especially." *.

I have this Fantasy, it’s bending Paul Ryan over a table and then taking a huge battery operated veined ***** covered in KY and inserting it up his ****hole and giving him what they’re giving the people. But just realized can’t afford the Rechargeable batteries or the KY on $1.50 Sorry what am I talking about I’ve got an old rolling pin wooden ( won’t be using that again for pastry) and **** the KY.

Well if you can buy a new car for $1,000 (cuz why wold the administration lie about something like that?), Im sure she can use that extra $1.50/wk to get herself a REALLY nice diamond pendant with matching earrings, right?

Even when he writes it, I feel I can just hear the sarcasm in the lady’s voice, “Great, a Cost Co membership, now I really can roll in the (Pillsbury) dough!”

Chibi Nyra I dunno, *we* all think that but the woman herself?? Why would she be writing to him?? Maybe to thank him?? But then…if it was real, why wouldn’t he just retweet it?? Lol he probably made it up

A $6 raise a month? The working class should be getting that raise PER HOUR to offset 30 years of stagnant wages but record corporate profits.

james madison given how much the pay off those at the top has gone up and how much profits have gone up, no, I haven’t.

    • Posted by Bonesaw is ready, at Reply

james madison Have you studied US economic history, at all? The tax rate for corporations and the wealthiest individuals was substantially higher when wages were highest.

There is, however, a correlation between wage stagnation and supply side economics (voodoo economics, trickle down, whatever name you want to call it by). For some reason whenever we slash the tax rates on corporations and wealthy individuals it doesn’t “trickle” down on us like right-wingers always promise it will. Instead what actually happens is wages end up falling, people ending up losing jobs, corporate profits shoot up, the rich get substantially richer and all that money you were told would “trickle” on you actually gets used by companies to by back their own stock, pay out dividends to investors, give giant bonuses to their executives, and keep buying politicians who keep selling you on this voodoo bullshit.

You are missing the point. Its not about the human beings, but the structure of employment or business. So, if you worked for an employee-owned company and establish an employee stock ownership plan, you would benefit from tax cuts. But instead, most employees would rather just vote for the minimum wage to be increased, vote for the middle class to get tax cuts etc., then after they lost the election, complain about being a loser who taught voting was enough to get paid. As if all you had to do was vote yes for higher wages and a check would magically appear in your mail box.

Chris Tom you have obviously been”conditioned” into thinking the way big Corp wants you to. At a measly 63k a year your probably not getting anywhere near the 1.4 billion in socialized welfare tax break the Koch brothers are getting are you? Let’s not forget, the working class will be paying for this socialized welfare with interest so the Koch brothers and Trump can bank our money. The biggest welfare Queens in America are the super wealthy, they get all the breaks, and all the tax breaks, and than the republicons scream we have no money and start cutting social security and Medicare and Medicaid. Remind me how much Donny the con cut Medicare and social security with his (socialized welfare for the billionaires) new tax bill, do you even know?

This November will once and for all determine the fate of the US. The GOP voters will keep voting GOP because they want their racism, and the GOP does deliver on that. But if the independent voters do not utterly destroy the GOP candidates, we will know that the US is broken beyond repair. Same goes if the turnout numbers are again only 40%. That would prove beyond the shadow of a doubt that Americans do not want democracy.

I’m not from Wisconsin, but I hope that Randy Bryce wins in November. The Republican Party is divided so much that if Paul Ryan were to not get re-elected they would lose their leader and have no way of continuing their horrible agenda in the House (even if they keep the majority). I’m not saying that the House Democrats are completely unified nor that Nancy Pelosi is a great leader, however if they can get more than just a slogan and have an actual message going that helps working-class Americans, they will win big time in this years’ mid-terms.
