West African Gooner I don’t care about this story, but she was taking about how body shaming is bad. Of course Alex Jones is fat, but so are many people Ana has defended in the past after they have been “fat shamed”.

    • Posted by Men With Aprons, at Reply

It’s not hypocrisy. You just don’t know the difference between insulting and shaming.

    • Posted by West African Gooner, at Reply

+Narwhocalypse dude, did she take a picture of Alex Jones and put it on the internet for everyone to laugh at? Alex Jones clearly doesnt need help making a fool of himself…

for the punishment to more fit the crime, instead of removing graffitti have her work with some sort of program that serves seniors since her victim was a 70 year old woman.

    • Posted by Startled Sheeple, at Reply

Back on topic… Punishment must fit the crime. Graffitti cleaning kinda fits, she’s literally graffiti itself. But she need to get more for distributing the poor victim’s photos. It’s crazy we have no existing law to deal with that.

Self Cannibalism? Mate if you are referring to us arguing about Hillary then sure. I’d rather have the dems go down and learn the hard way than pretend all is fine within the democratic party just because we got an idiot as 45.I prefer a party which is self critical/destructive than a cult based around Daddy Trump with no logic. Lets be Honest though, the democrats are not a left party, they just claim to be to get more votes. Just how republicans haven’t had family values since before we were all born.

    • Posted by Secretary of Spite, at Reply

Destroy the Democrat party. Sanders is corrupted. Vote Jill Stain. Vote Gary Jackson. Better still burn your own votes. Putin is laughing but he’s not satiated. Tear down the liberal nest while they’re weak. Burn!

    • Posted by An Amateur, at Reply

I don’t know if Sanders is fully corrupted, he still seems to talk about real issues that matter. Yes, while i disagree with both Gary and Jill, both would of been worth a vote more than Trump or Hillary.

I hate Hillary’s high and mighty Republican air so much I will let Trump shoot children in the middle of fifth avenue I still won’t vote for her.

how is she not on a sex offender list??? she shared a nonconsenting nude photo of a woman in a private space.

    • Posted by AW Crowe, at Reply

+Cassidy Mullins nudity does not = sex… If I am turned on by men in fedora’s or women in head scarves and I take pictures of them and post them does that make it sexual? Just because you think it is sexual does not make it so.

    • Posted by CLureCo, at Reply

      +AW Crowe ,
Bullshit. You can get on the list by pissing in public.

Why is everyone reporting the story as a case of body shaming? If I (as a male) recorded a woman in the changing room changing and posted the video on social media, I doubt the story would be how I was body shaming her.

    • Posted by mistymorning195, at Reply

Oasis S. – well, the criminal charges had to do with invasion of privacy. But, in terms of the younger woman’s motive/intention for what she did, it *was* to body-shame an elderly woman. If a man snuck into a women’s locker room and took pics of a naked woman in there I’d say the motive/intention would be yet a different one.

    • Posted by Brittany Pipoli, at Reply

A man would know better. Only women assume they will get away with this.

You do understand that in scenarios like that as with modern fracking it’s not the water that’s burning? But chemicals inside the water that should not be there.

Still. That’s a cool story. Didn’t know about that one. Thanks :).

There’s a double standard here. Imagine this were a 20-something year old man photographing a 20-something year old woman naked and sharing it online. He’d end up in jail, without a doubt. This is just as bad. You don’t go around taking nude photos of people in public and ridiculing them online.

BRENDAN WILSON-MORTIER well that’s a different example because that would mean the guy is in the girls restroom.

    Body shaming sucks !

    • Posted by Craig Welsh, at Reply

sebastep I don’t need to. It’s common knowledge that there are many known reasons why a body can fail to breakdown fat, retain water, gain weight etc. That doesn’t even include medication that has weight gain as a major side effect. Are these people just greedy and lazy or could you in fact be wrong? I wonder…

    • Posted by sebastep, at Reply

Craig Welsh do you understand that it doesn’t matter if you have hypo/hyperthyroidism, if you take meds, if you cannot breakdown fats, if you have a slow metabolism. you cannot get fat if you do not eat. no amount of meds or hormones can make you fat. calories, food does.

    • Posted by Craig Welsh, at Reply

sebastep Ah, so you can use Google, well done. OK you are saying that these people need to stop eating then and all will be cured? The reason for weight gain in many people is due to the body or brain not working correctly. This has consequences, sometimes these consequences result in an inability to burn calories as normal. Sometimes medication will have a similar effect. You are suggesting that these reasons are not medical, these reasons are simply due to food? So in summary what you are really saying is, what you originally posted was, that nobody should be fat and disgusting because they should eat less. In certain circumstances you cannot reduce calory intake and no matter how healthy you eat it makes no difference. It not as simple as that to many people. Hence the reason for my initial post. I am done with you, as previously stated, you are either on a wind up or a moron. I have already given you far more time than you deserve

    • Posted by sebastep, at Reply

Craig Welsh are you upset? did you go to your safe space? fattie!

She was sentenced after privacy invasion, not body shaming. A little misleading. If you wan’t to play little games then she was sentenced after breathing, after eating, after peeing, after laughing, after being born…etc etc.

    • Posted by Cornyyn, at Reply

+eQuariuz thats what the word “for” is all about: she was sentenced to … for privacy invasion, and after body shaming, no misleading involved.

    • Posted by Listenbuddy1, at Reply

+Mikes Free You’re defensive and unhinged, “moron”. Stop being such a crybaby and grow up.

    • Posted by eQuariuz, at Reply

+Cornyyn Hence “little games”. Sticking “after” in there IS the misleading part. Don’t be so dense. After breathing, after riding in a car, after laughing… we could go on forever depending on our agenda.
And to be sure, Fox is just as bad in their agenda leading.

    • Posted by MilitantPeaceist, at Reply

eQuartuz, I agree that your perspective is valid.
Another perspective is that the sole intent of “Body Shaming” led her to do something she otherwise wouldn’t have done.
She wasn’t a sexual pervert which if you take away the intent of “Body Shaming”, would have been the only other option. The headline would have read:
“Playboy Model Sentenced After Taking Perverted Photo’s”

But her intent was not to take perverted photo’s, her intent was to “Body Shame” & that desire led her to mindlessly break the law. Breaking the law in this sense is a mere technicality but the wider story is how some people are that far removed from reality they belong in the Playboy Mansion without cell coverage.

    • Posted by Daisy Chains, at Reply

Teens get arrested and an entry in the sex offender registry for taking nudies of _themselves_ but taking nude pictures of other people without their consent and posting it online goes virtually unpunished. ‘Murica!

    • Posted by Joscelyne K, at Reply

Well, with teens it’s child porn, so…

    • Posted by Daisy Chains, at Reply

      @Joscelyne K
There’s no way to rationalize this sh-t. Anti child porn laws should protect our kids and teens because we consider them too young to give consent to certain sexual activities. Arresting them for taking pictures of themselves means we’re _destroying their lives_ for something we wouldn’t punish any adult for. It clearly defeats the whole purpose of protecting them.
It does not even make any logical sense. There’s no way any activity that doesn’t involve other people is non-consensual. How is a selfie a worse crime than nude pictures of adults taken without the “model’s” consent?

The young always seem to think they will never get old. Some don’t, but if you ask this woman if she would rather live to 70 or die young and pretty in a bikini, I am sure she would choose 70 and able to go to a gym.

    • Posted by Enfant d'Omelas, at Reply

I spoke to a young man not long ago – a store clerk, probably in his mid-twenties and quite affable. He mentioned getting injured in a mosh pit and I said, ‘oh, to be young…’ and he replied that he wasn’t that young and something to the effect of ‘hope I die before I get old.’ Lots of people feel that way, but most aren’t open about it.
      {What that woman did was reprehensible, of course.}

    • Posted by Jessica Jones, at Reply

Yes Enfant, they say that , but which year do they consider old? At 20 thirty-five is old, forty is ancient. lol If you catch one that can give a year and then catch them at that age and ask if they are ready to die I wonder….All I know is that the older I get the younger those ages seem to me. 🙂

    • Posted by Enfant d'Omelas, at Reply

When I was young I thought aging horrific, but I also thought that I must just be immature and that as I grow older I would come to terms with the inevitable. I have not been so fortunate. In fact, I think my opinion of aging, now that I experience it first hand, is much worse. I’m 49, exercise, eat right, etc. and I still get carded at Trader Joe’s when I bother to dye my hair (their apparent age cut-off is 39). It still sucks – even worse than I thought it would – and I haven’t even yet experienced ‘The Change’. My plan is to go off an a ‘wilderness adventure’ sometime rather soon; maybe I’ll come back, maybe not.
