Big money out of politics, and progressive policies. That’s how you defeat Republicans and Corporate Dems

    • Posted by knpstrr, at Reply

Yes, business people have ties with businesses. SHOCKING!

    • Posted by Optimus Fine, at Reply

knpstrr So how did Trump “drain the swamp”? Corporations and his administration will directly benefit from having corporatists in the white house. The only difference is Trump cut out the middle man and simply appointed CEOs into positions of power.

    • Posted by knpstrr, at Reply

Will they? As of yet they haven’t. So far you are just speaking hypothetical nonsense.

    • Posted by Optimus Fine, at Reply

knpstrr How about the tax plan Trump is pushing that benefits the wealthy and corporations? How about climate change denial that benefits the fossil fuel industry? How about DeVos funneling public money into charter school grants that benefits her family? How about the roll back of banking regulations that will allow the same conditions that created 2008 recession and allowed Goldman Sachs and Wells Fargo to bank billions? How about the rollback of consumer protections and environmental protections that benefits corporations like DuPont?

    • Posted by knpstrr, at Reply

The wealthy pay all the tax. As of the year 2015, the “Bottom 60%” of the population pay *2%* of all income tax collected. Of course tax cuts benefit wealthy, they are the only ones that pay tax. Just a bit of life advice, buy some stocks (preferably index funds) and when corporations make more money you’ll make more money too. It’s a pretty neat deal.

I don’t think anyone denies climate change. The climate has always been changing, it always will be changing.

What cause the housing collapse was the Government mandate that so many loans be to subprime applicants. By the year 2005 the government mandate was that 52% of all loans made by fannie/freddie be to “affordable housing”. As a result, $5,000,000,000,000.00 in loans were made to low-income applicants. It was government REGULATION that caused the housing crash. Nice try though.

I’m not naive enough to believe the “evil corporation” narrative anyway.

I would run but I’m too young. Lol. We need progressives in Minnesota.

    • Posted by SBlackmare, at Reply

      Huh ?
I agree, but the DFL is a tough nut to crack. Next year there are primaries, and that’s where progressives can outshine the chosen candidates.

Oh noes! The guy who’s worse than Boehner. Looks like nobody has been recruited yet, but the Green got over 4% last time – that’s huge for a Green nationally, so I assume there’s a need for a genuine progressive. Have you talked to your county chair (or are they too committed to same ole)?

Look at Cenk, sending his worker Jordan under the bus at the first sign of trouble, as to not risk his click bait add revenues. You’re a pussey without convictions, Cenk.

    • Posted by First lady Princest Ivanka, at Reply

Money out of politics!!! The way your hero Jordan has been crying about being sacked for being so irresponsible as a public figure – it could be interesting to see how he now sucks up some of that to keep
up his book sales (why doesn’t my library have it, although they buy a thousand books every fortnight)?

The trolls are still butthurt from all the polls showing Bernie is the most popular politician in the USA. And Trump is the most despised.

Calleihal nwn2 Jordan used his company credit card to buy alcohol for his employees and have sex with them. He was obviously going to get fired, at the first instance of any real scrutiny

Quick note: the district number is unhelpful because it’s arbitrary. Tell us the area represented, please. For instance, tell us Texas’ 32nd District is a Dallas suburb. Thanks.

The Trump trolls in these comments are getting more pathetic and obvious. They’re scrambling so hard to earn their rubles.

    • Posted by jessejames84, at Reply

Agent Fungus Well the trolls are desperate given how Putin has lost control both of his Puppet , as well as starting to lose control of the GOP . And I think that it is about darn time, for the sleeping giant that is America to awake fully and give Putin a meaningful birch slap, so that Putin may know that no one messes with the US without severe consequences for the offender.

dubtat what policies that they support specifically makes them radicals? We haven’t had a democracy for 25 years now, recent research shows that popular opinion in the country , even if 85% of the country is in favor of a bill, it doesn’t matter, what people want has a statistically near zero percent impact on if a bill passed or fails, while if the donors really hate a bill, they have 70% chance to kill the bill, so we haven’t lived in a real democracy for a long time. At this point as long as a candidate refuses donor money and will actually represent people for once, I’m for that, democrats and republicans are all the same they represent donors not people.
So why exactly do you disagree, why would it be better to continue what we have now , which is not democracy, where what people want has had near zero impact on any bills over the last 2 and a half decades. What specific “radical” policies are you so afraid of that you would rather keep going with these corrupt democrats and republicans we have now??

    • Posted by SBlackmare, at Reply

      Anton Voltchok
You’re correct on this one. I have the money to give but little free time during the day, and the most important factor is often getting out the vote and canvassing before that

Poochie Collins what do you suggest we do about it? Ban guns? What does a gun do without a human? Nothing. If you ban guns, they’ll get trucks and cars or knives or even a freaking rock. Banning guns won’t do a thing.
