Rape Still Legal In This State…

North Carolina has another horrific law on guides. Kim Horcher, Ben Mankiewicz, and Mark Thompson, the hosts of The Young Turks, inform you why once females begin having sex they typically aren't enabled to stop in North Carolina. Tell us exactly what you think in the comment area below.

" In situation you believed that North Carolina's repulsive regulations concerning sex only focused around intolerance for the LGBTQ area, there's more. As well as this time around, it's even worse. North Carolina thinks it's completely awesome for a guy to commit fierce rape, as long it happens after some good foreplay. Sounds like I'm being hyperbolic, best? Yeah, I desire I were. Take a look at this madness:

Nineteen-year-old Aaliyah Palmer had actually begun making love with a man that drew her into a restroom at a party. Midway through, the encounter allegedly turned from unscripted tryst to felony rape when the guy came to be terrible, Aaliyah informed him to stop, and he refused. When Aaliyah reported the crime to authorities, she discovered the severe reality that the judgments of a backwards appellate court could have disastrous consequences for crime sufferers.

According to a 1979 criterion, as long as sex begins consensually, it can't be rape. In State v. Method, Justice Copeland and the North Carolina High court rescinded a rape conviction due to the fact that the high court had actually advised the jury as complies with:"

*Rape still legal in all Islamic countries.*

    • Posted by K, at Reply

ZulStrait It’s amazing how Muslim terorrists try to bring death to everyone. It’s almost like they’re obsessed. With killing everyone.

    • Posted by Heinrich Weber, at Reply

Legal as in you get stoned to death if you get caught? Because that is what fundamentalist Islamic countries do. And no, rape is illegal in Indonesia, bangladesh, India, ALL UAE countries, ALL arab countries, Turkey, Morocco, Iran, Iraq… wait a minute, rape is illegal in ALL Islamic countries. They just have a different punishment, and if I say so myself, a more fitting punishment for rapists.

Azumi As long as the law seeks to protect both parties.

    • Posted by Azumi, at Reply

Bill, I think you misunderstand what’s causing your issue. It’s not the law, it’s the people of society and their own bias. I’d say also how we deduce guilt or innocence is flawed as well, as in the trial process itself. A law that states you have the right to revoke consent, isn’t your problem, unless you’re a rapist, or would be rapist.

+CultureShock Anon Meant to edit my comment but deleted it. Men do a lot of the raping of males & females. It isn’t often you hear about female rapists. Not saying it doesn’t happen, of course it does, just not to the same degree men do it. I’m not some feminist either. American women are often treated better than men in our society when it comes to many different situations.

North Carolina is embarrassingly backward — Think they still have slavery in the back woods

    • Posted by B Sinita, at Reply

TooMuchDoom Jt okay I’m black too and I could tell you rape and slavery are sort of the same thing have ever heard of human trafficking yeah it’s the same thing the slave owner did it’s a black folks Native Americans and Hispanics in this country for a few hundred years before the Emancipation Proclamation and then continued to do it afterwards. slavery equals= human trafficking period!! and yes that evolved force sex unfortunately.

    • Posted by Marissa Claudio, at Reply

I’m in NC. slavery? no. not unless you consider “right to work” slavery but racism is rampant.

    • Posted by Team Flare Fanboy, at Reply

TooMuchDoom Jt. Slavery is basically extended rape, mental and physical. Rape is sort of like a short burst of slavery if you will.

    • Posted by DarknezzMadnezz, at Reply

slaveryright to work if we take it into account of what technology we have available to us and what people must suffer through just to get to retirement IF they ever do… to me its the same thing…

we are a slave to an outdated corrupted system that obligates people to do nothing but work themselves to the bone and leave themselves almost dead if not completely dead… unlike politicians the typical worker doesn’t normally reach retirement age and all money they made for retirement if no spouse is present goes directly to the government, not to children or grandchildren… so basically those of us who don’t make it to retirement are slaving away to grant the governments money for allowing us to be their slaves.

We should not be destroying ourselves to build the world around us anymore… we are in the age of technology, were robotics can take over these minimal jobs and allow the rest of us to spend our days with friends and families, allowing us to spread our culturesartscraftsmusicreligion… all without the burden of enslavement or monetary requirements…

we have the ability to focus on bettering ourselves as a civilized and human species that isn’t a slave race to a hand full of individuals who wish to be supreme overlords over us.

What a terrible law, some places are still backwards

    • Posted by Generic Scout, at Reply

The law is a response to prevent regret rape. Where a girl who has sex with a loser, regrets it then says it is rape. Even though she consented and everyone knows she did at hte time.

Honestly this is a response to the regret isn’t rape idea.
Where a woman has sex, finds out the guy is a loser/deadbeat and instead of dumping him like normal feels like she needs to ruin his life in response and claims rape.

In this case this woman had full control of the events that led to this encounter. She should have known the laws ahead of the time instead of waiting for the rules to apply. ALL PEOPLE should do this. Make it common knowledge of the weird quirks of the law. Like if you say yes you can’t say no midway.

    -But Muslims!

    • Posted by Mishket Ayari, at Reply

Curtis Smale Simply you are lying!! Because
During the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad, a rapist was punished based on only the testimony of the victim. Wa’il ibn Hujr reported that a woman publicly identified a man who had raped her. The people caught the man and brought him to the Prophet Muhammad. He told the woman to go, that she was not to be blamed, and ordered that the man be put to death.
In another case, a woman brought her infant to the mosque and publicly spoke about the rape that had resulted in her pregnancy. When confronted, the accused admitted the crime to the Caliph Umar who ordered his punishment. The woman was not punished.

Shadow Runner What bloody nonsense. Islam does not allow man to approach his wife without her concent. Sexual desire is also discouraged for achieving higher sprituality.

If a man forces his wife into intercourse than she has right to go court against him and ask for divorce.

It is Christianity that did not allow divorce untill King Henry VIII laid foundation of Anglican Church to get divorce from his wife Catherine.

So how many Christian women been raped by their husbands for 1500 years only for the reason Church not allowing divorce?

Talk about how rape is still legal in a devoted “Christian” state in the US (which is suppost to be a developed nation btw), and then get elementary school dropout rednecks in the comments section below blabber about “islam” and how the middle east got rape.

Listen you sister-fucker, we are talking about the US, not the middle east. we are talking about hypocrites, who criticize th middle east for rape but got rape in their own backyards and are OK with it. NC is as Christian as the middle east is Islamic. Both blabber bullshit and act like they are religious when in reality, they are just psychopaths.

Do not have sex with a woman unless you’ve been in a relationship with her for a decent amount of time and can trust her.

Otherwise you are setting yourself up to be falsely accused of rape whenever she feels she isn’t getting want she wants, or she’s having regrets of sleeping with you.

    • Posted by Taylor Avalos, at Reply

A Unique Disposition You realize that’s inherently a misogynistic worldview? Women by and large aren’t sulking around looking for men to falsely accuse of rape, not least because the system is stacked against women in rape cases and most women know this. If you approach any relationship with a woman suspecting by default she wants to accuse you of rape for some reason, you’re freaking paranoid dude.
