" Head of state Donald Trump's administration has actually already announced enormous budget plan cuts to every little thing from the Epa to the Irs. Now a brand-new report indicates that the Department of Real estate and Urban Development (HUD) is next on the chopping block.

The White House is apparently taking into consideration greater than $6 billion in cuts to HUD, inning accordance with The Washington Post. Although the current strategy would not decrease moneying to rental assistance programs, it would certainly reduce the budgets for community development jobs and also constructing maintenance. This would consist of a $600 million reduction in the operational funds for public housing authorities, $1.3 billion from big-ticket repair works at public housing facilities, as well as $1.3 billion from the public real estate capital fund. The Area Advancement Block Grant Program would be completely defunded after obtaining $3 billion for the 2017 ." *.

Dragon1717 If the DNC goes against the people again and gives their ticket to another corporate dem, what you’re implying is correct. Right-wing populism cannot be countered with a corrupt center-left corporatist.

Sha Dow Religious authorities often use the kafkatrap argument to sway the masses, who already have a confirmation bias, most from their upbringing. It’s twisted, disgusting, and deeply effective all at the same time.

Moderately ironic, Republicans thump a bible like nobody else but totally ignore all of Jesus’ teachings to fellate their own big corporate & conservative donors.

No. Hardly anyone is religious in 2017 America.

It’s amazing Socrates saw this coming. Don’t let stupid people vote.

    • Posted by Caitlyn Clark, at Reply

@Whytebio You didn’t state fact. We already know that conservative states have a higher amount of people on welfare. Its been illustrated many times over the past several years. Do some research. Btw, I would rather give the money to poor people then put it in the pockets of rich people and corporations who don’t need it or on excessive military waste. Are you a Christian? I swear I’m more Christian than most Christians and I’m a freaking atheist. lol

    • Posted by Andrew Curley, at Reply

I suppose that since you are pointing out that people are dependent on welfare, you would like to enact something like a living wage to pull people out of their addiction to “government cheese,” as you so eloquently put it? The vast majority of low-income workers really ARE dependent on welfare in order to pay their rent, keep the lights on, and put food on the table. So what do you propose as a solution?

    • Posted by anko Mitarashi, at Reply

+K Gizzi you do know that most poor people live in southern states right, like missisipi. you repubs are dreaming, the smartest people in our country are liberal.

    • Posted by K Gizzi, at Reply

+anko Mitarashi Then refute my point about illegal immigration. You won’t, because you can’t, because you’re stupid.

    • Posted by anko Mitarashi, at Reply

+K Gizzi your point on immigration is totally false, you can’t get welfare if you’re an illegal immigrant, but you do pay into social security that goes to native citizens that you don’t get to use. illegals contribute way more than they take, in terms of keeping agricultural product prices very low, and doing jobs that Americans would never do. I’m on my phone right now so I can’t link stuff, but go to politifact and ask if illegal immigrants can get welfare. You’ve been completely brainwashed, your taxes are going into oil and business subsidies, not to mention boondoggle defense spending. it’s not going back to your pocket, you’re just going to have to pay for basic amenities with that marginal amount of money you get, instead of using those taxes so that we can collectively pay for things like healthcare. This was the easiest rebuttal I’ve ever done, you’ve failed to think long term. which is the mark of a low iq stupid person, as you called me earlier. have a nice day.

Why is Carson in charge of HUD?

    • Posted by 75joev, at Reply

He grew up in an urban home.
It’s the only known rational explanation.

    • Posted by Mimi Keel, at Reply

*beastalchemist*, Because Trump promised Carson a position in exchange for his support/endorsement during the election. And yes. That is illegal.

    • Posted by Caitlyn Clark, at Reply

Why is a climate-change denier in charge of the EPA? Why is a goldman sachs guy in charge of the treasury? Why is someone who hates public schools in charge of public schools? lol Trump seems to find the worst possible candidate for each position.

    • Posted by Arthur Walker, at Reply

This is why many educated Blacks are going conservative. You have all these coons talking about “our welfare” and “our HUD” Disagreeing with any point makes me not Black. You coons are perfectly happy being babysat by deficient white boys like Save the USA and dreammatch2000. Perfectly happy with the narrative that you’re too incompetent to take care of yourselves, or not be violent criminals. They’re even allowed to say things like, “You aren’t really Black” now. NO sane Black man would be caught dead in this company. I hope the welfare dries up. Enjoy your last free lunch and pair of Jordans at everyone else’s expense.

Republicans would rather use money for war, killing, bombs, golf courses than helping their fellow man. They are a disgrace to the word human, and deserve a long painful, and brutal death. They are hand in hand with Lucifer, and the antichrist!

    • Posted by Dragon1717, at Reply

Some have said Democrats want everything free, want to live off others, and don’t want to work at all. Some have said that Democrats are sub-human gutter rats. Some also believe they deserve torturous deaths in which their limbs are detached from their bodies.

Ok I agree, why not everyone just go on a glorious killing spree, and destroy everything our fathers, and grandfathers, and great grandfathers have worked so hard on? I figure with this generation for genocide It is time to wipe humans from this planet we call earth? Would that satisfy you?

@Cisco Blue At least many progressives called out Obama when he did things we didn’t like… Trump fans are insanely loyal almost to the point of being like a cult. They just won’t criticize him ever… Trump said that he could shoot someone in the streets and he wouldn’t lose any of his supporters over it. I think he was right. As we saw in the 2016 election, progressives will argue with each other on issues we disagree over. But Trump supporters are almost like a hive mind. lol

  17. Posted by Captain Beefheart, at Reply

Yeah cause trump voters care about anything he does. trump could solicit sex from a trump voters 13 year old daughter and they’d say what a leader he is.

WAKE UP LIBERALS ! Our kind has a great tendancy to NOT VOTE, especially in midterm elections. Get this, Liberals…the midterm elections are about electing Congress…you know….the people who make all these laws we scream about…like this law, and the laws that cut taxes for the ultra rich. Give money to the rich, take money from the poorest.

    • Posted by Mimi Keel, at Reply

*Doug Thompson*, Exactly. Vote them Out!

It’s not popular for any politician to manage and stay within their budget. Always asking someone else to pay for ‘city’ or local responsibilities such as sewers eventually results in a backlash from those ‘someone’ else’s who are paying. No one minds helping others, but when you think you’re being taken, that when the backlash hits.
