Tom Rate wishes to guarantee you that up is down, black is white, and also Trump is clever. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Inform us just what you assume in the remark section listed below.

" On Sunday morning's interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Health and wellness as well as Human Services Assistant Tom Rate insisted that the Congressional Budget Office's evaluation that $880 billion would be cut from Medicaid investing would certainly somehow equip states to "tailor" their Medicaid coverage to better fit its recipients.

At first of the sector, Tapper asked Cost whether Head of state Donald Trump is maintaining his campaign pledge of no cuts to Medicaid by advertising an expense that will certainly reduce $880 billion in Medicaid.

" Without question, $880 billion less dollars is a cut. How is this not a damaged assurance?" Tapper asked Cost.

Rate appeared to dodge the question entirely (as well as did again later on in the section) by talking about in unclear terms the benefits of the new GOP health care plan." *.

Ben Harbaugh – Jake Tapper has actually been one of the few MSM people who’s been on this for a while, calling out the politicians on their bullshit lies and pivots and excuses; especially Trump surrogates.

It has to pass the senate and then go to committee and then back to the house before it can pass. It has a long way to go, but the Republican’s have the majority in the Senate and the House so it’s important that we all continue to express how much we are against it as well as their attempts to end net neutrality. They are coming for the internet next and there is so much news right now that no one is paying attention. Tell your family and friends to call their state representatives about health care and not allowing them to end net neutrality. Thanks!!!

malcolm x “If you are in a country that is progressive, the woman is progressive. If you’re in a country that reflects the consciousness toward the importance of education, it’s because the woman is aware of the importance of education. But in every backward country you’ll find the women are backward, and in every country where education is not stressed its because the women don’t have education.”

    so yeah #Nosympathy

    • Posted by blue boy, at Reply

Sinblack Bloodred. the only reason he won is because he beat Hillary in the Democratic fire wall so no he was more populist than she was. so now the Democratic party either needs to buck up or get the hell out of the way

This was a gross display of how disgusting the Republican party has become.

    • Posted by Reynold riper, at Reply

Why would I mind people who thought they were voting for their best interest? They wanted O-care repealed and replaced. I blame people who didnt show up at all to vote for their best interest, the people who didnt think losing the house to republicans would be a big deal. Now all your hippie progressive politicians can do is just yell they have no power

    • Posted by westingtyler ideas, at Reply

To be clear, nearly 3 million more people showed up to vote for Clinton, than for Trump. The last two GOP presidents have lost the popular vote, and the Electoral College didn’t do its job of stopping an incompetent like Trump from becoming president. That means the Electoral College needs to go.

    • Posted by Richard Archer, at Reply

kristabella222 – It could have been even more disgusting. The ACHA in its current form is actually more generous than Tom Price wanted while he was still in the House of Representatives. He was perhaps the most extreme of the people in the Freedom Caucus, which is already an extreme group.

    • Posted by Reynold riper, at Reply

Hilary won the popular vote because large states like LA, New York knew what was at stake Bernie supporters were busy cutting their nose to spite their face

  11. Posted by C Robinson, at Reply

Well Bernie Sanders needs to get out front and center on this issue and start campaigning WITH or WITHOUT democrats and the DNC for medicare for all single payer in every state.

    • Posted by Reynold riper, at Reply

He should also explain to his cult that not voting or voting for 3rd party is what allowed this to happen. Explain to them they were just not voting for Hillary but for  people who would consider their progressive views

    • Posted by Reynold riper, at Reply

yes I have learned them fools would cut their nose to spite their face.I know know ….”we sent a message, we dont want an establishment blah blah…”  didnt know the message was to destroy any progress  made by letting the right win

    • Posted by Rodrigo Carbajal, at Reply

Reynold riper and the fact that Hillary represents the establishment, had so many negative things about her and that her campaign had no message for working class

  12. Posted by Jonathan Ma, at Reply

It is estimated that 800 billion will be taken from medicaid over the next 10 years as a result of the bill. 65% of medicaid goes to nursing home patients. I imagine many Republicans have parents or family in nursing homes and have at least part of the cost subsidized. This seems out of line with what most conservatives believe – that we should respect and take care of the elderly.

    • Posted by blue boy, at Reply

Jonathan Ma the majority of Republican voters are old they voted these people in. it sounds harsh but let them pull themselves up by there boot straps

    • Posted by GreenGretel, at Reply

Republicans don’t give a damn about respect or morality. The only reason they haven’t fought tooth and nail against Medicare is because a disproportionate share of their voters are old.

    Obamacare = garbage.
    Trump care = garbage.

Either have a model based on the Swiss system (which Obamacare was only partially) or get government out entirely, take away state restrictions on healthcare providers (this giving each provider a monopoly in their state) and allow them to compete for a broader base of customers where most healthy customers that don’t need treatment will be subsidising those who do through their premiums.

    • Posted by Whytebio, at Reply

No, they have to cover their costs so that they remain operating. Even the vaunted “public option” needs funding from somewhere. Doctors don’t (nor shouldn’t) work for free, hospitals require maintenance, medical machines require purchasing, medicine requires $$ to buy etc This is what the Swizerland model is; it’s all privately provided.

    • Posted by Malcolm Sprott, at Reply

It is funded from my taxes we all pay taxes including those who are not working we have private insurance as well that just means you can get private surgery quicker than public but if it is life threatening the you get public straight away I have both and the last time I went public because the private makes you jump through hoops to get it and in my case only pays 80% and only up to a certain amount so I only use public to recover 80% of what I pay to visit my Doctor or for prescriptions which are $5 per item if I earn under a certain amount it is evening more cheaper for both.

    • Posted by Whytebio, at Reply

And it has no pressure on it whatsoever – it’s all held to ransom by politicians. But the Swiss model, one of the best in the world, is through private insurers who compete with each other.

    • Posted by Malcolm Sprott, at Reply

Of course it has pressure on it but if you need immediate attention you get it the rest of us in the emergency room move back in the line no private health insurance can work that way profits have to come first not the public.

    • Posted by Whytebio, at Reply

If it is immediate attention that concerns you then I wouldn’t put faith in a socialised care system, as their glacial pace is one of the several true criticisms that is leveled against them. I also think you mistake profits for “operating costs”, as nothing works for free – and indeed, profit is not the bane that you imagine it is. A doctor works for profit: no surgeon works for a pay that will only cover his barest necessities.

I love tyt’s optimism, but at this point I don’t know if I share it – Trump voters have proven time and time again that they are too stupid to live. Logic and reality just don’t apply to them. Trumpcare could kill em dead and they’d probably come back as ghosts just to vote Trump in 2020.
