Hey Wisconsin, you are gonna have to pay bigly to get shitty paying jobs without benefits, and to pollute your lands and waters. Trump is the best deal maker ever!!

    • Posted by ursaltydog, at Reply

and bigly portion of their wages to clean up the water and land, and increases in medical insurance for all the malaise the chemicals cause..

I live and Wisconsin. I swear I dont know why people keep voting for Walker he’s extremely corrupt and people act as if they can’t see it

Andre Walton They’re not. Just as republican governors everywhere are not being voted in office.
They are stripping and suppressing votes, and gerrymandering to win. Interstate crosscheck, by Kris Kobach. Look up investigative reporter, Greg Palast.

Yep, a lot of f-ing greedy moron ayn rand repug libertarian voters in WI, but it’s the massive voter suppression that let’s him win. Over 300,000 purged from the WI voter rolls so they could show Trump winning by 13,000. Same thing happened in MI and no doubt others besides making it diffucult for people to vote. I don’t like Hillary, but I really don’t believe for a second she lost here. Typical Don Con. Gotta cheat BIGLY to get ahead.

Government subsidies are just as bad as welfare.

    • Posted by Guybrush Threepwood, at Reply

Then why don’t you stick to the topic?

    • Posted by Guybrush Threepwood, at Reply

“because it costs the country more money” … That englobes a lot more than corporate subsidies, as everything the states does cost money.

      You need to elaborate.

    • Posted by nexus1g, at Reply

Except government subsidies are an investment into infrastructure that actually pays off in the long run.

    • Posted by Islam is cancer, at Reply

Guybrush Threepwood And the state should be severly limited because it does cost money. There is no place for government handouts in free market capitalism.

  5. Posted by Kevin Montrond, at Reply

Oh look. *CORPORATE WELFARE.* Why dont republicans complain when billions in welfare goes to corporations? They freak out when some poor kid gets food stamps though.

    • Posted by Guybrush Threepwood, at Reply

Strawman argument. I never meant the owners of the multi billion dollar company. I meant the many thousands of workers that work on it, directly AND indirectly, and the families that depend on it.

If I have a brother or a sister… I much rather support them in their profession, a career, business … than giving them crumbs so they can survive off my welfare.

      You have to TRULY care.

    • Posted by Kevin Montrond, at Reply

The company can pay for it because they can afford to. There is zero excuses not to. They can afford to pay everyone invovled in making it. Welfare is not for rich people.

    • Posted by nexus1g, at Reply

Foxconn gets $3 billion in *tax breaks* over the next 15 years and is going to be building a $10 billion dollar plant in the US (money coming from China and into the US) and will employ at least 13,000 within 6 years making an average of $53,000 a year (more money coming in from China to the US).

    • Posted by torchandhammer, at Reply

nexus1g, If you’ll give me $100,000, I’ll come cook meth in your kitchen over the next 6 years and pay your neighbors to help. Your house will have to be burned down and excavated to bedrock when we’re through, but think of the economic benefits!

    • Posted by Sandy lt, at Reply

torchandhammer well said, Torch! These f-ing ayn rand repug libertariantards are incapable of considerong the social and environmental costs. Only the false temporary gains matter and to hell with everything else. By WI, hello Detroit!

What Trump voters failed to understand is that even if they got jobs it would come at a price. And that a billionaire who has been cheating others his whole life wouldn’t all of the sudden become fair and considerate in how he treats his supporters

This is why tax payers are at the loosing end of the stick….state and federal crooks are promising billions of dollars in tax write-offs paid by the citizens of our nation and allowing destruction of ecosystems and wetlands for the sake of dollars…make these companies pay their taxes like the rest of us. If all the companies out there paid the tax assessments levied against them this country would not be in the tax trouble it’s in. They lie and promise jobs when it’s just a scam to make money on the banks of people and destruction of resources. If we continue to wipe out our resources there will be nothing left. Sustainable manufacturing is critical to future growth not the rape and pillage being used by the mid evil trump camp and hIs cronies. This criminal activity has become a cancer I. Our nation and it’s time we put a stop To it.

David asks The Fundamental Question: How far are America’s medium-skilled workers willing to punish other taxpayers and vote against their own self-interest? The Drumpf stole my line, and no one’s said a word about it: If you need a job that badly… Move! Human evolution for 10s of 1,000s of years has been the story of “mobility”.

    I thought Trump hates china!
Now he is bringing Foxconn to the us.

    • Posted by Daniel Bolt, at Reply

Red/white actually Foxconn is taiwanese. They pollute and mistreat employees in China because it lets them and doesn’t regulate. They would never get away with that stuff in Taiwan so they go to countries that let them. Besides, Apple dictates the prices at which Foxconn produces their products and they have the highest margin in the industry. So if you want to be “fair” it’s only fair for Apple to have Foxconn produce in the USA, where Apple is based, instead of being totally fine with it when all the crap is happening to the Chinese.

    • Posted by A44 8, at Reply

Goahead this happened in Wisconsin already during the industrial boom of paper plants when they dumped contaminated water into the rivers. People here are still suffering and one of the biggest businesses here are hospitals. They made these laws in the 70s to stop what was still happening. The rivers were just starting to recover and now they probably never will. It is the saddest part of life here. Everything could be so beautiful if we’d stop wrecking it.
