" Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) was reprimanded by a Republican committee chairman as she smoked police as well as intelligence authorities on the Russia probe.

The The golden state Democrat looked for guarantees from deputy attorney general of the United States Rod Rosenstein that he would allow unique advise Robert Mueller to totally and also individually examine feasible Trump campaign collusion with Russia.

" You suggested in your declaration that you selected an individual who exercises a 'degree' of self-reliance– not full self-reliance– from the typical hierarchy," Harris claimed.

She asked Rosenstein whether he would certainly issue a letter to Mueller ensuring him of full freedom, as James Comey had while serving as acting chief law officer to the unique guidance investigating the unmasking of a CIA representative." *.

Impeach this narcissistic, fascist clown that is occupying the White House. #notmypresident

Yet Trumpsters still insist that there is nothing behind this Russian investigation.

    • Posted by Dumdumdumdum Dum, at Reply

Not just trumpsters. I wonder how many videos Secular Talk did on it.

    • Posted by Yeah Science Biyawch, at Reply

Dumdumdumdum Dum kyle just never thought it was the most important issue. that is compared to what both the gop and DNC is doing. he may be right but I still feel that we have laws for a reason and should the president chooses to break it they should be impeached.

    • Posted by Dumdumdumdum Dum, at Reply

+Yeah Science Biyawch Haven’t watched kyle for a while now. Maybe his view on it changed from Russia has nothing to do with anything and it’s all a red scare to whatever his view on it now is.

If there’s nothing there then so be it but all this talk about Russia from other people has stifled the Trump administration a bit. Making it not so easy for his administration to do all the bad things they would like to do because they’re so busy trying to cover for Trump. There’s value there.

I think Kyle just dug himself a little hole and it’s easier for him to not talk about it than just admitting he could be wrong.

Silly Senator. You don’t get to question this administration while being a woman, especially the darkety-kind.

    • Posted by Goinggoinggone123, at Reply

Joe T I didn’t say they haven’t been “dickish” to Democrats during the investigation process; however, no Republican committee chairperson has treated a Democrat like this during testimony through the Russia investigation. This isn’t “identity politics”. This is genuinely about two Republican senators (one of whom actually interrupted Sen. Harris when he wasn’t even given the floor) treating the woman of color differently than they treated their white male colleagues. Stop excusing the deplorable behavior that is staring you in the face.

    • Posted by Joe T, at Reply

Such a ridiculous argument. So are you saying that Burr only said that to Harris because she’s a black woman? Here’s something to ponder….Burr clearly doesn’t want Mueller to be fully independent so he’s going to do whatever shady maneuvers he can to keep it that way. This has NOTHING to do gender/race. When you throw out hysteria about identity politics, you quickly become the boy who cried wolf. There is real corruption happening here. Stay focused on that so that conservatives can’t easily dismiss your poorly thought out critiques.

    • Posted by Goinggoinggone123, at Reply

Joe T Oh it’s ridiculous because you say so? Well I guess that settles it then… I never said Burr doesn’t want independence of Mueller. Of course he doesn’t want it. He also doesn’t want Rosenstein to talk about his memo being evidence for Comey’ s firing or conversations with the president, but he didn’t interrupt and silence Sens. Warner, King and Heinrich who were actually badgering him unlike Harris. I didn’t say there aren’t shady things happening; however, there is a clear differentiation in the way he treats white male members versus the black, Asian woman. Again, it’s not “identity politics” to point out that a person who isn’t a white male is being treated in a much harsher way than the white male members who were behaving much more aggressively and with much less respect toward witnesses than Harris was. If a committee is made up of all black women and only one white male, and the white male is admonished for being more courteous than his black female counterparts who were more aggressive, why would we ignore the blatant racism and sexism being shown to him? It’s not “identity politics” point out the truth. I’m not arguing for her to be immune from criticism because of her race or gender. THAT would be identity politics. I only want him to treat her the same way he treats her white male colleagues who behave even more disrespectfully than her in their questioning.

    • Posted by Joe T, at Reply

Sure, keep up that argument and see how many more elections democrats will keep losing. There are real issues happening here. Crying about how a US SENATOR is facing oppression will get you laughed out of the room.

    • Posted by Goinggoinggone123, at Reply

Joe T Again, I didn’t say there aren’t real issues at hand (and a black, Asian woman being treated differently from her white male colleagues is one). You’re right that she’s a U.S. Senator, and as such, she should be treated with the same respect or disrespect as her white male colleagues. Ignoring this kind of behavior doesn’t win elections for Democrats. Electing inspiring leaders who know what they’re doing does that. 47% of voters didn’t stay home last election because of a YouTube comment. Stop blaming our losses on the very voters the Democrats need to win. If the party doesn’t stand up to this kind of behavior, we lose. And if you think we can win by trying to get a couple of white male conservatives at the expense of inspiring women and black voters to stay home, you’re insane. I’m not saying that she should be immune from criticism. I’m saying she should be treated as fairly as her white male colleagues. Not only does that make our politics better, it keeps our party’s voters aware that we don’t take them for granted and inspires them to turn out. THAT’S how we win.

For these hearings, who ever is being asked yes or no questions should have some electrodes hooked up to their crotch. So if the words out of their mouth are not “yes” or “no” they get a small shock as a reminder to stay on topic. That would speed things along nicely, plus it would be amusing to see them squirm more than they already are.

I suspect that Rod Rosenstein has been compromised; he has pledged allegiance to Trump. And Rosenstein is gonna fire the special prosecutor when Mueller closes in on Trump.

    • Posted by Cyrus Wu, at Reply

HaoSci I’m sure he’s going to use that as a Trump card against Trump. if Trump fucks with him, he’ll let Mueller go all the way

Burr was more interested in trying to keep a black woman in what he falsely believed was her place by trying to shut her down than he was of demanding straight answers from the witnesses. He allowed these officials to insult the Senate. Talk about priorities.

      Richard Grijalva hahahahaha!

    • Posted by Richard Grijalva, at Reply

Michael D. And you laugh because you didn’t see a problem with Burr’s intervention? If that’s the case, why did he not call out the other white male Senators frustrated with the panel’s stalling as discourteous? If you fail to see the power dynamics in play here you are either willfully ignorant of what’s in play or you think they’re irrelevant or you think that it’s behavior that should be condoned. Either way, it doesn’t reflect well on your position.

    • Posted by Gregory Samuel Teo, at Reply

they’ve been hyperpartisan for a LONG time. at least since GWB. they are the archetypal political party that George Washington warned us about in his farewell address:

“However [political parties] may now and then answer popular ends, they are likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government, destroying afterwards the very engines which have lifted them to unjust dominion.”

White people make me sad. White people in America that is. White people in Europe are intelligent. They elect governments that create programs that protect and nurture the general population. If you try to do that here, liars say you’re creating death panels and stupid gullible white people believe them. Then they vote Republican and the GOP creates death panels by allowing insurance companies to cancel your policy the minute you need life saving medical care. And stupid gullible white people who have their insurance canceled when they need it applaud.
(Smart American white people who don’t vote GOP are excepted from this generalization.)

They need to start saying “we will sit here until you give us a yes or no answer. It doesn’t matter how long it takes. We will have food brought in and sleep on the floor if we have to. But you will give us a yes or no answer in one word to the question. If you do not, then you will go to jail for a year.” Enough games.
