According to a new report by the International Business Times, it isn't really as pricey as you 'd think to purchase the loyalty of a participant of Congress. In some cases, donations of just $1,000 were enough to change the outcome of a vote. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this. Sign up for the Ring of Fire for much more:

We paid them $174,000 to serve the people. If they are not doing that we paid them to do. We should fire them from the job. Vote each and everyone of them out of the office.

TYT is almost edgy. TYT is just proof some corporate MSNBC Dems were smart enough to find the internet. Cenk still has his wagon hitched to the Democratic party. DNC apologists. If he doesn’t figure that out soon, his channel will go down the tubes with the blue hairs running the DNC. You should be ashamed of yourselves TYT apologists.

    • Posted by roger Brownfield, at Reply

+myheartspits I know it’s the tyt version of look on as we hold democrats “accountable” so you can still vote for them.

    • Posted by myheartspits, at Reply

There’s nothing in this video saying to vote for democrats.

    • Posted by roger Brownfield, at Reply

+myheartspits right, they do that part later. It’s a routine they have. We hold them accountable now you guys can vote for them. The tyt plan to keep democrats afloat a little longer. Watch you’ll see the pattern

Doesn’t bother me if they are upset, but I don’t like the way he is blaming the Democratic Party when the clear cause is the aggressive politicization of the Supreme Court by the so-called Republican Party.

I have thought of an interesting metric of the relative corruption of the two parties. Consider California versus Texas. In California, where the Democrats are in power and could fully control the redistricting. If they gerrymandered aggressively they could use those 3 million extra votes (from the last election) to eliminate EVERY Republican representative–but they haven’t done that. In contrast, in Texas, where the Republicans control the redistricting, they gerrymander so aggressively that Austin is the largest city in the country that has NO representation in Congress.

Gonna step in as another “snowflake”. Okay, the problem is this fuckhead saying “The republicans have always been corrupted, but democrats were never corrupted.” Both parties are equally corrupted, and voting for either makes you a spineless prick.

jaydeviil We’ll know if it’s just whining come 2018. Remember, the Tea Party swept into Congress on waves of resentment. And looking at the crowds, republicans are dead centered in the crosshairs.

Money is an big issue and needs to be removed… but the Republicans/Trump are responsible for shredding Dodd-Frank.

    • Posted by Tara Conley, at Reply

You also have to think about the fact that Bill Clinton completely deregulated the banks by repealing Glass Steagall, Bush obviously didn’t regulate it again, then Obama and Congress passed Dodd-Frank, a really weak law, simply because SOMETHING had to be done after the recession. They should have simply just restored Glass Steagall, but both parties of both houses of Congress and Obama are/were very corrupted by Wall Street.

The DNC will shred your chances of ever having a progressive candidate

Agreed, our political system functions as an autocratic republic. Unfortunately not one person in a thousand understands this, including every leader in every political organization that advocates for reform. You might be interested in my site http://TrueDemocracyNow.org

Charlie X that exact reason is the reason they won’t ever win against a candidate that runs under the basis of NOT being lobbied. Just look at Sanders, in 20 years a man like that would absolutely dismantle corporate politicians.
