really? I remember my friend getting dragged down the hallway in kindergarten because she was acting like a jackass and wouldn’t walk to the front office like she was asked. No one batted an eye (mom also taught at same school/knew about incident and we go to church with the family) and even the parents knew she was in the wrong because they said and did nothing. people these days man I swear…

    • Posted by Stephen Nootens, at Reply

Funny you said that because that was more or less the first thought that popped into my mind. When I saw the photo, I wondered how can they be so sure the kid was not willing to walk, you knowย having a tamper tantrum the way little kids do. I pretty sure most kids tried to pull something like that ones or twice.

I know right, these days you can’t just physically abuse children like you used to be able to. Too bad that you can’t ensure your superiority over a child.

    • Posted by The Young Turds, at Reply

+Annonymous5411 nah it wouldnt. Its a non news story.

  9. Posted by Da Jokur, at Reply

I’m on the teacher’s side I mean the kid probably did something he wasn’t supposed to do and was told to go to the office and he probably didn’t want to do so I guess the only way to get him out was to drag him?

    • Posted by Gopi Maruthamuthu, at Reply

It is not necessary because there are better ways of dealing with kids in situations where they are refusing to move or attacking another student then dragging them across the floor.

    • Posted by Trollie McG, at Reply

      I would yes.

    • Posted by Trollie McG, at Reply

So your saying the teacher just randomly grabbed a kid and started dragging them around. Your logic is amazing.

    • Posted by Anthony Kirkwood, at Reply

Trollie McG im saying u dont drag anyones child .its wrong thats not teaching thats abuse if u cant handle the kid u call their parents.

Yes Ana, let’s be clear and point out that he is BLACK. Just like we would have done if he had been WHITE. Because it is safe to assume that a white student is less likely to be mistreated by a teacher. AMIRITE.

    • Posted by BestofNate, at Reply

bloodraighna there are more white people in America than black people so crimes are commuted at greater frequency, but th he rate of white on white crime is the same. This is because self segregation and the fact that your most likely to commit a crime against those around you.

    • Posted by BestofNate, at Reply

thefreeatlast arefreeatlast And yet inspite of that you never hear conservatives talking about the greatest problem in white communities being white on white crime. And if you meant tyt doesn’t run stories were a black person commits a crime against other black people your wrong they just don’t sensationalize it and make it seems more prevalent than it is like other news outlets.

When I was in grade 1 I had a flip out and my teacher dragged me down the hallway and I tried to flop down and enjoyed the ride and we both laughed. Slick wax floors are painless to be dragged on. I not saying don’t look into this but I wouldn’t fire her for that unless kid had even the smallest minor injury.

  15. Posted by iamedbytes, at Reply

That child could be badly injured. Broken arm, injured shoulder and elbow. That is not even counting the mental trauma. Child abuse is a crime. Firing should be just the start.

    • Posted by Spliffer45, at Reply

His elbow could have spontaneously combusted! /s

    • Posted by iamedbytes, at Reply

Spliffer45 : https://www.drugs.com/cg/pulled-elbow-in-children.html Try going through life with your elbow not working correctly. They can probably treat this injury and they can treat shoulder injuries and broken arms. The question is why should a child be put through this?

    • Posted by Spliffer45, at Reply

First, your claim that it would make your elbow not work correctly for the remainder of your life is bullshit, its simply a dislocation. Second, Given the evidence in the video of the “pull”, there wouldnt be enough force created. These tile floors are VERY SLICK. The force exerted on his arm would be a fraction of his own body weight, which as shown on a playground, their elbows are perfectly capable of supporting.

While the link you provided gives a vague description of “Dragging your child by the hand” as a cause. The other more descriptive causes, describe forces in excess of their own body weight. This leads me to believe “casual” dragging really isnt what they are referring to, but rather dragging that is very forceful… Again, these tile floors are very slick, i doubt 1/4 of his body weight was exerted on his arm.

Kids arent made of glass. And this kid clearly chose the “dead weight” exit via dragging. Dont care.

    • Posted by iamedbytes, at Reply

Spliffer45: I specifically stated that the injury could probably be treated. Do you think it is right for a teacher to be dragging students down the hallway? There is not a certainty of injury but any chance of injury from such activity means that the teacher is putting the student needlessly at risk. It is not a risk free activity.

๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ this is not the worse thing I’ve seen a teacher do. This culture is so pussified.

    • Posted by humanparadox, at Reply

I am milan just because it’s not the worst thing doesn’t mean it’s not abuse. I’m sure you wouldn’t think that way if it was your child

    What’s the problem?
The kid was being disruptive and she took care of the problem?
The kid was not harmed or injured.

    • Posted by Edward Bernayse666, at Reply

@noiseless sounds what’s wrong with dragging a kid across the hallway at 4? sometimes you have to use non violent force on kids that young when they are being defiant. i would’ve thought it was fun to be dragged across the floor like that at 4.

    • Posted by Edward Bernayse666, at Reply

@zaman mufc all the more reason why it’s appropriate to …..if it was a teenage girl or something then you all would have a point but with 4 year olds……you have to sometimes use non violent physical force on them when they are being defiant. imagine what they would grow up to be like if they were allowed to do whatever they want that young and beyond?

    • Posted by Gopi Maruthamuthu, at Reply

BL4CK KN1G8T you have got to be joking, correct? clearly the teacher deserves to get fired from her job and probably go to prison for child abuse.

    • Posted by balios1, at Reply

“Can i drag you on the ground?”

If I was trespassing on your property and was refusing to leave by “passive resistance”, you could legally drag me off your property.

Barring that, as an adult, you have no legal power or guardianship over me. If you want to drag me on the floor you’d have to offer a suitable financial incentive to agree to your strange request.

You might more easily find children willing to agree to your request. I’ve personally dragged many kids on the floor, all family, and all while they laughed and thought it was extremely funny.

I remember watching my best friend get dragged through the halls when we were 6 years old by our teacher. And guess what? He deserved it. And get what else? He grew up fine, no scars, got a great job and barely remembers it.

Stop making mountains out of molehills.

    • Posted by Benjamin Roberts, at Reply

+humanparadox if what you’re trying to say is “you would want your child wrapped in cotton wool and taught shakespeare all day” then sure. But there’s a reason why I shouldnt get to make those decisions as a parent. So I’ll stick to my opinion as an impartial judge, thanks.
