Lastly. You are only criticising this way of action, instead of proposing an alternative. Got all the answers, kid? Then by all means… enlighten us as to how you’ll make Russia listen.

Jonny Beckham Yeah because Russia didn’t keep these territories that were under the Ottoman empire for itself, it just freed them for the sake of oppressed people and then gave them their independence

Tillerson was only there to get sanctions lifted for Exxon’s half-trillion $ deal. Nothing else.
He’s sitting on $50M in Exxon stock and parting options worth $150M when executed.

    • Posted by JohnBoehners, at Reply

Napalm – Russia has the largest oil field on earth, and no company is able to access it except Exxon (Tillerson’s old company). *_Follow the money._* Putin agrees to pay Tfrump 3% – 10% under the table if he gets the Russian sanctions lifted and Exxon gets in there and drills that oil. Either Putin extended a % to Tillerson, or Tfrump will split his commission.

Either way, Tillerson & Tfrump will do anything, or say anything to receive those drilling commissions. They are not working for the USA. They are working for the all mighty dollar and for Putin. *_Follow the money!_*

    • Posted by Mireille Lebeau, at Reply

      JohnBoehners,  What are your sources?

    • Posted by JohnBoehners, at Reply

Mireille Lebeau – What are my sources on what? Russia having the biggest oil find in the history of the world and can not access it? Or – Exxon being the only country in the world which has the equipment and technology to access the oil? Or, Tillerson being Exxon’s CEO and quitting to become Secretary of State? Or- Tillerson’s *_VERY_* cozy personal relationship with Vladimir Putin? Or, Tfrump’s lust for money, Putin’s knowledge of ripping off his country to the tune of $60 Billion Dollars and stashing it in an offshore untaxed account? Or, Tfrump’s long term money laundering of Russian Mob & Russian oligarch’s illicit funds?

Follow the money. Read. Think. 1+1=2.

Don the Con Tfrump did not take this job to ‘make America great’. Don the Con took this job because the possibilities of becoming rich like he’s always lied he was could come true. Scary. And many American’s don’t understand or don’t care. Scarier!

Trump was right in the first place and should have stood his ground. Now we have a new Cold War and trade war. The young libs are happy now, a sure sign of stupid.

    • Posted by RedroomStudios, at Reply

Listenbuddy1 – what is it you find so hard to comprehend about basic math? the Republicans control both houses of the congress and voted in numbers sufficiently great that Trump had no way of stopping it. you cant stand your ground when over 90% of the congress votes for it. people are mostly happy with this because it is clear that Trump has deals with the Russians to enrich himself and his cronies at the expense of American values. Putin thought he could interfere and be a puppet master but the congress just gave him a big middle finger and it’s a beautiful thing!

  12. Posted by Andrew Tataj, at Reply

yeah, but you’re ignoring a few key things about the sanctions.

    1. Are they really necessary? Already had one round for Ukraine, another for election meddling, now this?
    2. Is provoking Russia again really wise? Tensions are already at a 40-year high right now, and there are plenty of other potential flash points around the globe with the potential for Russian involvement.

To be honest, I’d rather have Trump and Tillerson lining their pockets a little more than pushing the two biggest armed forces closer and closer into conflict.

Ukraine didn’t block the Minsk agreements, they’re waiting along with the EU to start the implementation the minute when the russian puppets abide by a ceasfire, they haven’t done so so far, and the EU and the US see that Russia isn’t serious about the Minsk agreements

Crimea is Russia. 80% of Crimean pop are Russians.Nationalism is the more violent and destructive force in humanity so how come if Russia forced Ukranians in Crimea to join Russia isn’t there a brutal rebellion against Russian occupation?
How come Crimea is more proseporeous nad peaceful now than anytime since USSR? The economy is booming, tourism is up, Crimea is the Rivera of the Blacksea, dispite sanctions trying to hurt the economy.
The people of Crimea are Russian, they voted to join Russia in a referendum and if you knew ANY history you would know that this is how the people of Crimea want to live.
