If China enters the war against us in Korea we will lose for sure.
If China stays neutral, we will win but at great cost to the South Koreans.
If China enters the war on our side in Korea, it will be a short-lived war, still high death toll, but much shorter.

My point is, you go up against an actual military, a real war, and all bets are off. They could suddenly ramp up their arms research and overshadow your armament in a week, don’t get complacent.

And Trump breaks yet another campaign promise! What a shock!

And of course we’re going to war! Republicans LOVE war! They love to have even more excuses to shovel billions of dollars into the coffers of their wealthy donors!

    • Posted by Tyler Rue, at Reply

I hate Republican politicians as much as the next sane person, but the Dems are just as likely to take us into war these days. Hillary would’ve had us at war with Russia in a hot minute had she been given the chance. If we could actually get politicians in office who worked for the people instead of themselves, war would all but go away for the U.S.

StrnFn9099 Violating the emoluments clause of the US constitution?

    • Posted by Amen Knowtech, at Reply

A president doesn’t have to commit a “crime”…you asked for other criteria and I posted them but you seem to be under the impression YOU get to decide what is an impeachable offense but CONGRESS and the House of Representatives does that and they can decide to impeach a sitting president for MORE than just a “standard crime”…TREASON and MISDEMEANORS are not always considered “crimes” and they are vague for a reason and the HOUSE REPS has a lot of latitude on how they can interpret these stipulations:

“”””””Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution says, “The President, Vice President
and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from
Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other
high Crimes and Misdemeanors.” In his report, Independent Counsel,
Starr accuses President Clinton of committing eleven acts for which he could be removed from office by impeachment. Are any of those acts “Treason,
Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors?” Well, that’s up to the
members of the House of Representatives. According to constitutional
lawyers, “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” are (1) real criminality —
breaking a law; (2) abuses of power; (3) “violation of public trust” as
defined by Alexander Hamilton in the Federalist Papers.
In 1970, then-Representative Gerald R. Ford defined impeachable
offenses as “whatever a majority of the House of Representatives
considers it to be at a given moment in history.” An excellent
definition, Mr. Former President. In the past, Congress has issued
Articles of Impeachment for acts in three general categories:
1).Exceeding the constitutional bounds of the powers of the office.2).Behavior grossly incompatible with the proper function and purpose of the office.3).Employing the power of the office for an improper purpose or for personal gain.”””””””

      (taken from:

It would be EASY to interpret Trumps actions as TREASON as he has exhibited BEHAVIOR GROSSLY INCOMPATIBLE WITH THE PROPER FUNCTION OF THE OFFICE….and he has most definitely used THE POWER OF THE OFFICE FOR PERSONAL GAIN…….

The question isn’t has Trump done anything that can be deemed an impeachable offense….He most Certainly has…..the question is does the legislative Branch have the BALLS to go through with it….No they Don’t.

    • Posted by Ryan, at Reply

Amen Knowtech —- YOU SAID: “TREASON and MISDEMEANORS are not always considered “crimes” and they are vague for a reason and the HOUSE REPS has a lot of latitude on how they can interpret these stipulations” That’s a stupid statement and you know it. Of course those are crimes.

-Treason is a crime under 18 US Code Chapter 115
      -MISDEMEANORS defined under 18 U.S. Code Β§ 3559

The Founders made it difficult on purpose. If it was as easy as you make it out to be then we would have had more than 2 Presidents impeached. Also you are wrong about Clinton.
Bill Clinton was charged with perjury 18 U.S. Code Β§ 1621 — FELONY.
Andrew Johnson was charged with violating the Tenure Law — FELONY.

      BTW…what has Trump precisely done?

    • Posted by Amen Knowtech, at Reply

First off learn better reading comprehension…nowhere in my post did I say “it was easy” to impeach a sitting president…I said that the Legislative branch has a LOT of latitude in deciding what grounds to impeach a POTUS on and the History of Impeachment shows this…You mentioned Andrew Johnson and the TENURE OF OFFICE ACT

“”””””The Tenure of Office Act was a United States federal law (in force from 1867 to 1887) that was intended to restrict the power of the President of the United States to remove certain office-holders without the approval of the Senate. The law was enacted on March 3, 1867, over the veto of President Andrew Johnson.
It purported to deny the president the power to remove any executive
officer who had been appointed by the president with the advice and
consent of the Senate, unless the Senate approved the removal during the
next full session of Congress. The act was significantly amended on
April 5, 1869. Congress repealed the act in its entirety in 1887.[1]”””””””””””

Johnson was up for impeachment SIMPLY for removing a Edwin Stanton from his seat as sec of War while the senate was NOT in session….this violated the “Act” and since Johnson was not very well liked by the Republican re-constructionist then they sought impeachment along some pretty shaky grounds….the point that I am making is IF THEY WANTED TO REMOVE TRUMP….THEY COULD……Trump has meet 2 criteria for impeachment and I already told you which 2 they are… should be OBVIOUS how he meets these criteria…..Trump has exhibited behavior that is incompatible with the office he holds (do you really need examples?) AND he has used the position to enrich his personal empire and depending on who is interpreting the law he is in violation of the emoluments clause…..notice that a lot of this boils down to INTERPRETATION of the Law….if they wanted to find something to impeach Trump on they have it all they have to do is INTERPRET the law in a way that places him in violation of it.

Keep an eye out, they’ll be grooming us and trying to butter us up for a War of aggression with North Korea over the term. They’ll throw Neo-Con propaganda at us, justify a preemptive strike, and use the excuse of humanitarianism to get us to fall in-line with a war that will be FAR more destructive than any we’ve seen in modern history. Maybe during say ELECTION TIME 2020? Just like Bush did in 2003 with Iraq, during the campaigning.

Unless they hit us first…then yeah…go get Korean Cartman.

    • Posted by Angel Santiago, at Reply

anti-establishment Wrong. China cares a lot about North Korea. China needs a buffer zone between them and the U.S. and it’s allies. It is the same reason why Russia armed the rebels in Ukraine. They did it to keep a buffer zone between their border and NATO. China doesn’t want a U.S. friendly Korea having a shared border with China.
