Trump fans attacked NPR for inciting "transformation." Cenk Uygur, Brett Erlich, as well as Poise Baldridge, the hosts of The Young Turks, describe why. Tell us what you think in the comment area listed below.

" For 29 years, National Public Radio's "Early morning Version" has actually commemorated the 4th of July with an analysis of the Declaration of Independence by hosts, reporters, newscasters and also commentators.

This testimony to the country's beginning paper has previously verified uncontroversial. Yet that changed in the year 2017.

After NPR tweeted the coming with text of the affirmation line by line, Donald Trump backers (relatively not aware of the source paper) accused the media company of playing partial politics and assaulting the head of state.

" So, NPR is asking for a revolution," Twitter individual @JustEsrafel created.

" Propaganda is that you understand?" one more asked."

yeah, I like how they didn’t cover the TYT supporter who murdered that cop in NYC on Tuesday. TYT IS the best – at getting cops killed.

    • Posted by Alicia B, at Reply

The Worm: I seriously cannot find ANYTHING on what you claim besides other youtube videos, most claiming because TYT was CRITICAL–not violent–of incidences of police brutality and overreach, TYT directly caused the guy to grab a gun and assassinate a female officer. Actually googling that man that killed the Bronx cop reveals his motivation was mental illness (schizophrenia with manic episodes and paranoia) and a long hatred of cops/authority (in and out of prison over 15yrs). Like, do you even know you’re a troll or do you blindly forward every conspiracy theory you hear?

Most trump supporters have never read either the Constitution or Deceleration of independence.

Which is why they blindly follow a man who shits on them daily.

The difference between the left and the right is that the left is full of assholes and the right is full of stupid assholes.

Is that why Trump lost the popular vote and has an approval rating of around 30%?

Brianna Kubiwood You can trust the community healthcare more since the people have more control. If it suffers then just move cities besides if its federal you have to deal with it

I’ve drawn the conclusion, based on how much bigotry and blame exists in America, that country isn’t mature or responsible enough for politics. A nation of people can’t possibly work together and make difficult decision (manage society and the economy), if they can’t get their mind out of the gutter.

This was funny,…goes to show how uneducated they are and the general lack of awareness.

Interesting how when it mentioned tyranny and unfit leaders they immediately thought of Trump, huh?

    • Posted by WobblyBits_X, at Reply

+Chris Sweeney Why would anybody but a conservative who voted for Trump be jumping to the defense of Trump in these tweets? It’s a fairly safe bet to assume they’re conservatives and Trump voters.

They will trade insults, and go to verbal war. A conservative man will just make snide remarks or say nothing at all in real life based off my experience.

I’m old enough to remember the redo of the 50’s petition experiment that happened during the late 60’s. Those of us who agreed with that seditious document were labeled commie pinko’s and Viet Cong sympathizers. Clearly the days of the United States were numbered and we were marching all our innocent fellow citizens straight into hell ! And look, we have a President Drumpf. It was a long and weary journey but we’ve finally made it !

    • Posted by TheCalvin1902, at Reply

They didn’t know what it was – which is even more pathetic.

Do you really expect moronic donald voters to even know what the Declaration of Independence says? They’re too stupid to even know what the Bill of Rights are. All they care about is keeping the States white and keeping their guns

    • Posted by Anthony Smock, at Reply

ted red but the majority of the country does agree with there side. And the elect Torio college does not get another say so in anything else for another four years

    • Posted by ted red, at Reply

Anthony Smock It was virtually a tie. Half the votes went to him, half the votes to hillary. He was a horrible candidate, yet the dems rolled out an even works candidate. most of us dont want higher taxes, trannies becoming the cool thing to do, and a globalist agenda. they want safe communities, affordable homes, and jobs. Obama gave the working class nothing to solve that problem and anybody who wanted to let the republicans run the system was branded as a racist or a bigot.

    • Posted by Julian Birch, at Reply

Yeah. One of my biggest pet peeves is when Americans misquote either the Declaration of Independence or the Constitution. And I catch the news media, the people that they talk to, and idiotic (or decidedly evil) politicians doing it ALL THE TIME.

People who got defensive of Trump kind of committed an admittance of guilt that they know that Trump is behaving very un-American. They didn’t realize it at the time, but they just inadvertently admitted that Donald Trump is behaving similar to an authoritarian/monarch like King George of England.

Saw several articles about this yesterday. Reading the comments from Trump supporters defending the ridiculous response to the NPR tweets was just as entertaining as the original story. They’ve learned from their fuhrer, when found doing something stupid….double down.

My boss Cenk was right when he said our moronic TYT fans wouldn’t bother to ask how when we knew the people who made those objectionable tweets were ‘Trump Supporters’ ! Guess that’s why he’s the head of the world’s biggest online news show and I’m just a lowly Scottish Ginger who makes occasional videos in between sweeping the floor and giving him blow jobs.

Minh Huynh even sadder that the trumpanzees don’t even recognize the document that our nation was founded on.

    • Posted by Julian Birch, at Reply

That’s by design. The propagandists from the Christian Right are out in force getting on state education boards to sanitize and eradicate any sorts of history or science that contradicts their social agenda. And it sadly works because Texas (a Republican stronghold) is one of the largest buyers of textbooks on the market. If the companies that make the textbooks want a nice juicy contract, then they have to dance to the tune of what the Texas curriculum board wants. Which unfortunately means that the rest of the country, who buys the same American History textbooks, is stuck with sanitized lies and propaganda.

    • Posted by Julian Birch, at Reply

Bush was only kind of a bad president. Iraq was a complete mess, and the supply side economics was a terrible idea that will continue to be terrible. But he’s also probably done more stuff for Africa than most previous presidents. And he got us through 9/11 which is probably the worst kind of thing you can have happen to you in your first year on the job. If not for 9/11, he’d have probably just ended up being one of those average Presidents that just kind of gets glazed over.
