      Young Turd,
Why not sign up for a job smoking Tobacco? Working in the Coal Industry is about the same.
Would you suggest that your son/daughter train for a Coal- mining job? No?
Then admit that this idea is idiotic and it is wrong to pursue expansion of this killer industry.

There are only 50,000 miners in the USA. Pruitt claimed they had created 50,000 new mining jobs in the last month!! Just lies. There are 250,000 jobs in solar energy. Why does the administration lie and lie to the most severely afflicted part of the Union?

“Coal is more expensive to produce, it’s harder to produce.” – Ana

What, as oppose to solar or wind? Ana is so dumb dear lord…once coal has been extracted(mined), it can be used directly as a fuel; It’s one of the easiest methods of producing energy known to mankind. Typical fake news TYT making up lies.

    • Posted by DefeatGlobalism, at Reply

+Nasri Tahir “Germany’s wind and solar power systems have provided too much power at unpredictable times, which damaged the power grid and made the system vulnerable to blackouts. Grid operators paid companies $548 million to shutter turbines to fix the problem, according to a survey by Wirtschaftswoche of Germany’s largest power companies.” – http://dailycaller.com/2016/07/10/germany-votes-to-abandon-most-green-energy-subsidies/

Solar and wind was a tremendous failure in Europe just like Socialism was a tremendous failure throughout history but that doesn’t stop libtards from repeating the same mistakes. If liberals get their way they will destroy America with their green/socialist revolution just like Venezuela. Radical liberalism is the biggest threat to the planet.

I worked in the early 70’s putting together car 8track players, all those jobs were lost when cassette tapes were invented. Come on Trump can you help bring back those jobs? What about the jobs in making lead additives for gasoline that went away when gas became unleaded, more jobs there to be found too.

    • Posted by Brian Linderman, at Reply

teencalvin Well considering the fact that the Department of Energy is probably by far the most scientific part of the US government and their reports are very detailed and correspond to verified data, you will find that my information is significantly more effective than a news show. I am not a Trump supporter or a republican, but I am very interested in energy and we should have educated discussions with legitament information.

    • Posted by teencalvin, at Reply

Air Pollution causes the Early Deaths of 200.000 Americans A Year, while Opioid Addiction Kills more people every year than died in Vietnam. Opening a mine shouldn’t be celebrated.
It makes the US even more backward and a even bigger global laughing stock, although when you have a Born Rich Yet Multiple Bankrupt TV Gameshow President it’s hard not to laugh!

If I remember correctly I think Germany is leading with solar and even here in the UK, solar farms and solar panels on houses and business properties are cropping up on a regular basis. We don’t get as much sun here in the UK and in European countries as the USA gets and Trump would prefer to dig up coal which isn’t as cost effective as renewable energy.
There’s a reason why Trump made 6 businesses bankrupt and was bailed out by his daddy.
Donald Trump couldn’t organize a piss up in a brewery.
Trump: ”We’ve got a shitload of Sunshine and massive areas of dessert and we need energy! Where can we possibly get cost effective energy from????? I know COAL”!
I wonder how much money Trump personally got from the coal industry, allegedly?

    • Posted by Brian Linderman, at Reply

Zed1967 The leading nation by solar production is by far the Chinese, who produce over 36,000 MW more than Germany.

    • Posted by Zed1967, at Reply

I’m assuming that is because the surface area of China is greater than that of Germany but I think that Germany is adopting solar on houses and business buildings with government grants which increases the supply and demand.

The thing that’s most sick about this, is that our military KNOWS that environmental disasters are coming, they’ve even prepared for it. These right wingers with their heads up their asses won’t even listen to the military which they claim to love so much.

    • Posted by usfdave10, at Reply

I showed the military.com and Defense departments own websites to anti-climate people and they call it fake news. Cognitive Dissonance at its best.

After the forthcoming Trump /Ryan Care Bill is made law how are these miners going to pay for the healthcare they’ll inevitably need when they are diagnosed with Black Lung Disease? I understand their desire to get back to full time employment etc but at what price to their personal wellbeing? Not to mention the misery their suffering will cause to the people who love and care about them. I don’t think this has been thought through.

    • Posted by John Bliss, at Reply

Exactly. The insurance companies will drop coal miners, with an excuse like, ‘Not profitable for us’, or ‘Pre-existing condition’.

  19. Posted by anne L, at Reply

How many solar and wind powered energy jobs did he kill in the process? And what will the long term costs be for the continued use of coal? Now we have a war on the climate — much worse.
