Coal "doesn't make good sense anymore." Is there anything the Trump administration hasn't existed about? Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, simplifies. Tell us exactly what you think in the comment section listed below.

" Whether or not the USA will certainly remain in the historic Paris environment contract is a significant inquiry bordering Head of state Donald Trump's journey to Italy for the G7 Summit. Trump's leading financial adviser, Gary Cohn, was inquired about the choice aboard Flying force One on Thursday, and had some surprising solutions.

Cohn informed reporters that coal does not "make that much feeling any longer," yet that pushing renewables can make The U.S.A. "a manufacturing giant." The words appear off-message from a White Residence that has actually promised consistently to restore coal works and simply suggested large cutsto government financial investment in tidy energy.

Cohn told journalism that Trump would achieve quick financial development while protecting the atmosphere at the very same time. "We're not mosting likely to pollute the air to do that. We're not going to be rampant polluters," he claimed." *.

For some reason I don’t think Trump voters care … just like their glorious leader they can’t bear to be proved wrong and admit their stupidity and Trump knows it.

Fly-Fly-Fly-Crawl Yes, you get it. These Trump voters are perpetually immature teenagers, in high school rooting for the Trump football team, because it is theirs. That is why Trump was always getting them to repeat 3 word chants. The high school football analogy keeps coming up all over the internet and the anti-Trump media (basically most of the media except for the ultra conservative media which makes up a bunch of lies for these Trump fools, gotta keep them fools happy–over nothing). Worst president ever elected by worst voters ever.

What makes you think coal isn’t going to rise?
      The regulations are being cut.
That is what was holding them back.
Why wouldn’t they start up again?

Trump and his cabinet WILL follow the money. The money is in clean fuels. The money is NOT in coal anymore. 1+1=2.

    • Posted by David Carlson, at Reply

The only reason for that is because for the last 8 years the Obama administration has been going after coal, gas, and oil. With less restrictions it will become more profitable.

    • Posted by Mlpfanboy, at Reply

David Carlson even if that were the case (which it isn’t because wind and solar energy is far easier to obtain, clean up, and replace) what would be the cost of it in terms of human life?

    • Posted by crystalsunshine, at Reply

See, we might see the value in human life….but Trump and his cronies don’t take that as a value.

  9. Posted by Levi HD, at Reply

You would think they would want to do solar and wind because once you have them up they are pretty easy to run and maintain. The chances of their workers injury’s would go down too you would imagine. They would make money and save alot of money doing this.

Not sure why you brainwashed minions insist on making everything going on in life “left versus right”….but in the world of common sense there is NOTHING clean about burning a fossil fuel for energy….not only are processing fossil fuels mechanically intensive AND toxic to the environment….but the amount of energy you get in exchange for the cost to process and the cost to the environment we live in just isn’t worth it to forward thinking people…..AND fossils fuels are a FINITE resource….you might want to skip this thread and go toil with people who are muddled in party politics such as yourself….I do not lean left or right…I lean UPWARD.

Create favorable conditions so that companies build solar panel factories in coal states if you want to help the miners. I assume they want a job to support their families, not a situation that their kids end up in the mines as well…. You can’t bring coal back, you can bring jobs to those impacted regions.

    • Posted by Jrsydvl2003, at Reply

JC K That will only go so far. At some point people may need to leave those areas for better jobs. Many towns and businesses had to adapt when interstates sprung up.

  15. Posted by Xavier Thorn, at Reply

Fact: 230,000 coal related jobs in the US and declining, 3.4 million clean energy job in the US and raising (well we’ll have to what and see the effect of Trump pulling out of the Paris accord, but the potential is there)
Trumpsters either don’t have the ability to see past the bumper-sticker talking points or they don’t want to. Either way trumpsters are fucked.

    • Posted by David Carlson, at Reply

Trumpsters? Anyways, this is the case because for the past 8 years the Obama administration has gone after coal, oil, and gas. With less restrictions they will become more profitable and create more jobs.

    • Posted by Xavier Thorn, at Reply

Over the last 8 years oil and gas companies have received US taxpayer subsidize between 4.8 to 5.3 billion dollars per year. Over the same period clean energy subsidize have been between 2.3 billion and 3.1 billion per year.

    • Posted by BoojumFed, at Reply

“Anyways, this is the case because for the past 8 years the -Obama administration- _availability of cheap fracking_ has gone after _traditional, higher waged_ coal, oil, and gas. With less -restrictions- _market pressures from cheaper, more technologically-based energy sources like fracking_ they will become more profitable and create more jobs.”

Fixed it for ya, Dave. It’s not the government’s job to artificially prop up individual businesses or sectors of the economy that can’t pull their own weight. This is a free market economy, not Stalinist Russia.

    • Posted by Barre76, at Reply

David Carlson, those fossil fuels will run out eventually though, when should we start to invest in alternatives ,ย ย right now or the day after they run out so to speak ?

    • Posted by Youn Kim, at Reply

David Carlson There is no way to burn coal clean. There is a way to burn it cleaner, but not clean. Your analogy makes a relative comparison, and that’s all there is to “clean coal.” Get over it.
