Trump’s Tax Cuts Aren’t For You

Basically all of Trump's tax cuts go to the top 1%. Cenk Uygur and John Iadarola, hosts of The Young Turks, talk about. Tell us what you assume in the comment section below.

" According to the Tax Policy Center, the cuts that Team Trump included in their bullet-point rundown last April can cause a loss of earnings in between $3.4 trillion as well as $7.8 trillion over 10 years. To which will those benefits go? We'll provide you two assumptions, but you'll only require one. Right here's Vox:

The bundle, the TPC finds, would extremely help the wealthy. Consisting of the tax walkings [like getting rid of individual exceptions and various other common reductions], the general strategy would certainly provide the ordinary family members gaining under $25,000 each year a $40 tax cut, or a 0.3 percent boost in after-tax revenue. The leading 0.1 percent, making above $3.4 million a year, would certainly get an ordinary tax obligation cut of $937,700, or a 13.3 percent increase in after-tax revenue.

But wait, hasn't already Group Trump pitched their tax strategy as an advantage for the middle and also lower ranks that "isn't regarding a dramatic cut in taxes for the well-off," as Treasury Assistant Steven Mnuchin claimed in April? …" *.

Stupid people voting against their economic interest is the reason they get away with this.

    • Posted by 888strummer, at Reply

Trump’s proposal is to DOUBLE the STANDARD DEDUCTION. This will give the average middle class tax payer an average of $1,500 to $2,000/year in extra take home pay. It helps EVERY tax payer greatly. How is this voting against one’s self interest?

Because Donald Trump is not only making America great again, but he is making the whole world great again! He is a hero in Saudi Arabia, unlike the najis dog Obama before him. Mr. Trump is on our side and is supporting Saudi economically and militarily and on our side against the majusi Iranian fire worshippers, and with his help our brave Mujahidin will cleanse the Muslim lands by getting rid of all Persian fire worshippers and every majoos Shi’a, every Nazarene, every yahud and every kufr, we will have their heads chopped off, take their women for pleasure and wipe them out just as we did in the al-Qadisiyyah battle by the brave mujahidin of Rashidun with the guidance of Rasul Allah (peace be upon him)

A cuck is someone who puts another’s interests before that of themselves and their loved ones. This is why Trump did so well in the general election. He called Jeb, Marco-bot and so on, puppets of their donors and he was correct. Now though it has become clear of who the naked emperor truly cares about. Who is the cuck? What have they won? The SJW are worse than ever. Not only haven’t they shut up but they are literally rioting. TYT = heroes of Homeric proportions.

My apologies if you took it the wrong way.

America itself is the greatest example of trickle down economics. From inception until the 20th century it managed to become the richest and freest place in the world without an income tax – which only started as it exists today in 1913.

They supported Donald Trump for 2 years all in the name of fighter SJW.s and paid little to no attention on his policies. I’m in the top 5% and these cuts piss me off as much as that steaming pile of a senate healthcare bill does. WTF is wrong with people needing that extra beach house and yacht while the majority of people are suffering and dying needlessly.

    • Posted by Joan Robinson, at Reply

Let’s just say this one person did that, but the majority of the rest of the sociopaths did what they always do. They buy luxury items, put the money in tax shelters here or abroad, use the money to buy up shares in their own companies, speculate in the financial markets, etc. We have been doing this for decades now and the economy and our society is crumbling, we are creating an oligarchy too. So, this one person does that, what is the societal impact? Next to nothing, because we are talking about a systems analysis on the macro impact of these type of tax cuts, not what one out of a hundred of the rich do with that extra damn money.

    • Posted by burtosis, at Reply

Donating to a charity isn’t likely to be as efficient as or help the large number of people that affordable yet comprehensive health insurance or fair taxation will. That said if I do get a cut from either I will.

    • Posted by Radwar99, at Reply

Ororo Munroe, Well let’s see, I’ll give you 3 quick examples which are fact.
You just recently learned that Trump Jr. colluded with Russia.
Google “Eric Trump foundation” and have fun learning about how he shifted Kids-Cancer Charity Money Into his business, something that was demanded by the dad himself.
Ivanka Trump uses cheap labor in China to make shoes for her company. Workers are forced to work long hours at $1 an hour. I guess that the “bring jobs back to America” Trump likes to boast about doesn’t include his family.

And here’s what Trump said live on Howard Stern’s radio show.
“I did try and f*** her,” Trump said. “She was married. I moved on her very heavily. In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. … I moved on her like a b***h, but I couldn’t get there and she was married.”

“I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait,” Trump said. “When you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab ’em by the p***y. You can do anything.”

      Have a nice day, puppet.

“I could stand in the middle of 5th Avenue and shoot somebody and I wouldn’t lose voters” – Donald Trump

“I love the poorly educated” – Donald Trump

“I don’t stand by anything” – Donald Trump

Even Trump admits his supporters are mindless puppets.

It was the Bush tax cuts that gave us a 20 Trillion dollar debt. Tax cuts always add to the debt. We need tax increases on the top 5%, NOT tax cuts.

    • Posted by R Taylor, at Reply

But the working class and middle class aren’t billionaire donors who decide what government policy is. If you make them richer and more comfortable eventually, by some form of magic the money ends up with the poor people, so make the rich richer, everyone gains… bigly.

    For info in Scandinavia:
“Nordic countries give their populations freedom from the market by using capitalism as a tool to benefit everyone whereas in the United States neoliberal politics puts the foxes in charge of the henhouse, and capitalists have used the wealth generated by their enterprises (as well as financial and political manipulations) to capture the state and pluck the chickens.”
Just an eloquent way of saying your being screwed.

    • Posted by mark krul, at Reply

Some of the “Nordic ” countries, Sweden in particular, are starting to re-think they’re socialism…why you ask…because they let in so many refugees and gave them lavish benefits without asking them to ADD something of value to the economy (cause that would be racist y’know) and now they have a bankrupt system. My country, Canada, is on the same trajectory unfortunately. So whenever you hear the young turds prattle on about the Canadian system, know that they don’t know what they are talking about.

Give them a chance and they will contribute to society as millions of immigrants have done to the US and Canada. The important thing for this to succeed is a level playing field not built on bigotry, racism and scare mongering but inclusion.
I read yesterday that Maryam Mirzakhani has just died, she was an outstanding mathematician and a Fields medal winner, she was also an Iranian immigrant to the US.
I understand your issues of people taking but not contributing, I’ve got no time for scroungers but from what I’ve seen the desire to work from these groups is strong, infact the danger is they can be exploited by unscrupulous employers. These same employers then use their labour to drive down wages, you can see why Republican businessmen on the border with Mexico are against the wall….

Don’t forget Reagan. He made massive tax cuts and after 8 years of Reagan the stock market crashed, the housing market crashed and the banks failed. And remember the 12 years of Republican presidents Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover. They made massive tax cuts and the stock market crashed, the housing market crashed, and the banks failed. We got the Great Republican Depression. Republicans get in and the economy crashes. That is etched in stone.

    • Posted by BFT_Neelix, at Reply

Celso Junior, Nope it wasn’t, and the economy is not like driving a forklift that turns on a time, its like steering a ship, and it started to get bad right around that period and has been trending down for the working class ever since, primarily because as Cenk has said many times, it was in the late 70s when Nixon appointed 4 SCOTUS judges who ruled on cases which basically put our democracy up for sale to corporations. That’s the mark in history, and Reagan was the first president to take those principles that corporations wanted to benefit them and put it into overdrive and give those policies a name.
