I always thought he was pretty unprofessional, even at his best. He talked about himself way too much. It got to the point that his ego overshadowed the story.

i’m sorry i’m not gonna wade through year old tyt politics videos to back up my claims. believe me or don’t believe me. i don’t really feel responsible for your opinion. if you really want to know you’ll do it yourself. all i can tell you is that those videos were around the time he broke the donna brazile story. within the next 2 or 3 months i’d say

    • Posted by tomatodamashi, at Reply

Are you talking about Cenk or Jordan?

    • Posted by Vast Manwich, at Reply

tomatodamashi Have you ever watched Jordan’s videos? I’m clearly talking about Jordan.

Many people ignore the bleeding obvious human flaws of their “romantic justice hero” because we’re looking for someone to project ourselves on. One day when we’re ready, we will project that on ourselves instead…

Jordan also threatened the Flint Water Study with a lawsuit. they refused to take down their criticism of a study he had done that they said was very flawed. The also pointed out a conflict of interest. That article is stiil up. They wouldn’t be intimidated

J Mc Jordan’s threatening email to them shows what an unbearable megalomaniac he is.

    • Posted by Long Dong, at Reply

He’s the Donald Trump of reporters. Threaten everyone with lawsuits, if they happen to disagree with you.

    • Posted by Free Range MooMoo, at Reply

It is not even the fact that Jordan demeaned Mike Moore, it is the way he slandered Mike Moore to elevate himself. I’m not surprise Jordan self-destruct this fast. But Jordan is nnot the only regressive bigot hero around here. Don’t sign up to play justice warrior if you have that much petty hatred and bitter jealousy in your heart.

I liked Jordan, but TYT was completely in the right in firing him. He had sex with his employees on his company’s dime (Already a fireable offense), refused to take part in an internal investigation for it (Also a fireable offense), and now that he’s been fired, instead of calmly accepting that he made a really shitty mistake and that he has to deal with the consequences of it, he’s falsely claiming that they never tried to investigate him and is now suing them over it, and is trying to make this event as public as possible. He needs to let this go and move on. There’s far more important stuff going on right now, and starting drama with the company that you worked for isn’t one of them.

    • Posted by MRostendway, at Reply

N.W.A. I actually agree with you.
Its very apparent that Jordan is being fired because he is branded with the “Rapist” accusation. It doesnt have to be true but in this current hysteria climate, A company cant have a guy accused of rape working for them… Even when all evidence shows the girl is lying.

If this was really about him buying a few drinks and renting a hotel on tyts money all this should and could have been resolved with a stern warning and possibly some time off.

Jordan has already challenged TYT to release the statements comparing his spendings with other tyt enployees as he feels if money mis management was REALLY the issue, he shouldnt be the only one being terminated.

    • Posted by jmt luimem, at Reply

      “falsely”?!
yeah he made the “shitty mistake” to be alive
(in the country of the dead)

N W A said… “Where does TYT get the justification to fire him for running his business they way he wants to?” Huh? So it’s cool your manager made you pay for her orgy party with her Avon sales subordinates, then create drama on social media? Is that your idea of “I do it my way”? Have you worked in a company with more than 10 employees?

    • Posted by distatic, at Reply

Andre B, You forgot that he ran a side-company “truth against the machine” that worked for him basically without pay and TYT’s knowing and probably funneling money to his own company (I guess he wanted to get rich like his friends in Hampton’s. Jordan you have to grovel before Koch-brothers like Dave Ruben for that, once you are famous from TYT…)

The way he behaved, it’s OBVIOUS that he’s guilty.

You don’t leave, insult your boss, then lawyer up out of nowhere if you’re innocent.

    • Posted by N.W.A., at Reply

Lawyering up is what anyone with a brain would do.

    • Posted by MRostendway, at Reply

If you are being accused of being a rapist, fired abruptly and defamed by all sorts of people with vendettas.. Getting a lawyer and clearing your name is the first thing anyone does when they are innocent.

He could have resigned and taken the golden handshake.. Now thats what a guilty person would do.

    • Posted by Jonathan Xavier, at Reply

Marduk of Nexus He didn’t leave he was fired. Of course he insulted because he feels betrayed. And of course he layered up since he thinks there’s wrongful termination. Jesus, you lot are morons aren’t you?

    • Posted by jmt luimem, at Reply

“You don’t leave, insult your boss, then lawyer up out of nowhere”
I wonder, Marduk, if you have to be considered innocent or guilty because you believe such BS, in time of crisis, you think your boss would beg you for a conversation and you’d refuse? come on…..

    • Posted by Free Range MooMoo, at Reply

I don’t care about his “guilt” in the hotel room, the participants can go make more dramas themselvs. His out-sized retaliation feels more like an attempt to generate controversy for his own channel, that’s it. The fact that it’s done at the expense of TYT, why would he care. His featherweight legacy is after all built upon hyperbolic condemnation, showy persecutions, elevating himself by unfairly destroying some media predecessors who are way way way above his pay grade. So this attack on TYT is just another same old same old for the likes of Jordan.

  5. Posted by Kirk Johnson, at Reply

If it was truly a side project ‘that has nothing to do with TYT’ then how can you fire him for his behavior there?

    • Posted by Cangel Tibon, at Reply

What do you mean, it’s not his reasoning he laid it out in the video.

    • Posted by N.W.A., at Reply

Cangel Tibon Cenk talked about a hot tub, sex in the hot tub, him not saying the chick he had sex with from the hot tub worked for him. However, all these things according to Cenk was in regards to Jordan’s side project.

    • Posted by Sprax, at Reply

Sarah Drogaris Absolutely fired. Now if he used money TYT paid him, cool.

    • Posted by PumpkinsnBlackcats, at Reply

N.W.A. Did we watch the same video here? He not only used TYT funds for his own benefit and business venture but also potentially put female TYT employee’s he was in charge of in a bad unethical situation by bringing them in his hotel room. He was engaging in unprofessional and unethical behavior with both his own people AND TYT employees, not just his own from tatm. That is not okay and is grounds for any business to fire someone. And Cenk said nothing about sex in a hot tub.

    • Posted by N.W.A., at Reply

  8. Posted by vimanaboy, at Reply

I’m more of a fan of Jordan than of the main channel, but he clearly hung himself with his behavior, even by his own description. I hope he comes back a lot wiser and with a lot more humility.

This statement by Cenk is dead on the money and more than fair.

    • Posted by MRostendway, at Reply

He has been branded a rapist. In this clinate of rape hysteria he is done.
The girl who made the false allegation never went to the cops nor does she plans to do so..
All it takes is an accusation in the media and its over.

If this was really just about money mishandling Cenk could have taken him aside and given him a stern warning. Maybe put him on leave for a while at best..

But we all know the real reason he has to go is because he has been branded with the rapist word.

    • Posted by David W., at Reply

MRostendway They began their internal investigation under the assumption that the worst of these allegations wasn’t true (i.e. he wasn’t a rapist). They assumed the best in that regard.

However, even if he wasn’t, he had sex with his direct subordinates, openly admitted to it, and was unapologetic. That reflects poorly on TYT and is a fireable offense.

Furthermore, misappropriation of your employers resources for your own side projects is a fireable offense. Using them to rent rooms for orgies is a further fireable offense. The dude had to go; a stern talking to shouldn’t be required. You shouldn’t have to tell employees not to use company funds to host orgies with other employees. Like seriously dude, where the hell do you work that you’d get away with that with just a stern talking to?

    • Posted by Free Range MooMoo, at Reply

It’s so unfair, if only someone informed Jordan about the “climate of rape hysteria” with overt workplace power abuse theme! This horrible climate, I tell ya…

Why do you think Roger Stone dangled Leeann Teetee the Hooter Playmate at us and distract us into rescuing her poor little fragile thick-skin stripper with tongue story instead of noticing the damage she could potentially do to a public servant and 100 million other women? They know exactly how weak and regressive some so-called justice warriors are. Do we?

  10. Posted by Crimson Halo, at Reply

What a shitty situation. Jordan was a great investigative journalist who brought a lot of important situations to the public’s awareness, and frankly it’s embarrassing that he would throw all that away by acting badly behind the scenes. It’ll be a hard position to fill, but it’s time to move forward.

    • Posted by distatic, at Reply

I bet Jordan will get paid like Dave Ruben from the Koch-brothers now that he is famous from TYT so he can party with his friends at the Hamptons…

  11. Posted by Rodrigo Martinez, at Reply

The right decision to make in my opinion. You just can’t have that in a work environment.

    • Posted by gunnyo50, at Reply

+MrB1923 Cenk and TYT made the right decision regarding Jordan. He was using company’s finances towards his own gain for his side business, hookers and conferences etc etc. In a lot of businesses that’s a legitimate firing offence. Jordan got no one to blame but himself.

    • Posted by Quinn E., at Reply

      I completely agree.

What trial? TYT brand = holding authorities responsible. One of their employees runs side biz and acted irresponsibly as an authority. Employee fired. Typical biz decision. What has trial to do with anything?

  12. Posted by Seelverado, at Reply

    it’s a right decision Cenk

    • Posted by jmt luimem, at Reply

“was Jordan functioning or not” – is the only question.
      the answer is yes.
the rest is bad literature and the contrary of a decision :
Cenk trying to make us believe he didn’t shoot the guy on the superb occasion instead of defending, or at least waiting ..
but when you think people are idiots.. you became an idiot.

As messed up a situation as this is, this decision makes perfect sense to me. Even with allegations against Jordan being false, the actions that he himself admitted to, even if/though consensual, were very unprofessional and unwise to say the least, and to a degree that justifies termination of employment.

    • Posted by Johnzilla, at Reply

I obviously have no idea, but I don’t need a no-dating clause to know that a sexual relationship or even single-encounter with a subordinate, or anyone in the workplace for that matter, is unprofessional and unwise.

TYT does allow dating within their workplace, but probably not between people who directly work under one another.

    • Posted by Cath' J J, at Reply

-using tyt money for his own project

He says he’s leaving the assault stuff for cops

TYT certainly has taken the corporate money and jordan was the first victim of that. i see others being separating from TYT in near future.

    • Posted by PenRiot, at Reply

no sir. i wouldn’t do that because i m pretty sure that even cenk had some consensual encounters sometimes in his life. does that mean whole TYT is filled with sexual predators? it does not take long enough to understand what the corporate world can do to destroy their opponent. frame them in baseless rumor and destroy them. jordan was doing the fearless reporting against them (DAPL) so he was the prime target.

    • Posted by Ash Lee, at Reply

he even said that Jordan has done some great reporting in the past, I honestly wonder due to the fact that it seemed like Tyt politics was in hotels so often, that it might not be that uncommon for the situation, but for Jordan to talk about it publicly is definitely a privacy issue for the other co worker.. dont know about the using tyt s resources for his side business thats kinda weird…
