" Well, I'm mosting likely to need to," Margraves reacted, and also he released into a sprint towards Nassar.".

    You can’t blame him.

And that is what he did. He controlled his emotions and had the appropriate response given the situation. A real man.

    • Posted by silver lining, at Reply

The guards and the judge didn’t blame him either.

    • Posted by ZarlanTheGreen, at Reply

Yes you can. It’s understandable, but…
That’s not justice, not fairness, nor does it help matters. It’s merely violent assault. (that said, I wouldn’t want _harsh_ punishment. Some punishment to show it’s wrong, certainly, but…)

His daughters can blame him too though. One day.

If he was a great dad he would have never allowed his child to be molested.

And if theres one thing prisoners “LOVE” more than cop killers, its child molesters. SO hes in for a …fun time. Especially if he gets put with that guy who killed his cellmate because it meant “one less child molester in the world”.

Jim Meh yeah but the isolation might be an even better form of punishment no human contact besides his guards might just drive him insane

Jim Meh A friend of mines daughter was raped. He knew a guard at the prison, the rapist ” accidentally” fell down a flight of concrete stairs. Accidents happen….

This man is a typical loud bombastic progressive justice hero. Failed to hear his own girls under his care, yet try to act like the police and lecture the judge (who represents the democrat leader).

Thomas Stern – It seems to work like that under the current administration. Lawlessness, lies, deceit, treachery, sexual harassment, fraud, theft, brutality, murder, etc…all rewarded in some way. Eg; Sheriff Joe Arpaio justifiably arrested, put on trial, convicted, sentenced and imprisoned (briefly) only to then be pardoned by Trump as a reward for buffing Trump’s fragile narcissistic ego.

This is one of the biggest problems with American culture. The idea that revenge is a valid response to a crime. It is not. In case you haven’t noticed, revenge is the prime driver in American justice and it ruins lives and doesn’t deter crime. This child molester may not be the best example of someone who deserves a chance at redemption, but he can serve as a symbol of the millions men and women being abused in American prisons, admittedly, for far less serious crimes, who do deserve that opportunity. America is fueled by hurt, disappointment and rage, right now, and that’s simply unsustainable. We need to finally begin to solve our systemic problems (punitive justice system, political corruption, rampant corporate malfeasance, structural racism and sexism, poverty and economic inequality, homophobia, etc) so we can then focus on developing our collective human identity, something we’ve never known, as Americans. That’s the path to becoming a better, stronger, singular America.

??? do you know what empathy is? wanting vengence for something like that is a natural instinct. how can you possibly suggest and say that a person should be restrained and level-headed in a situation like that? in hope you don’t have any kids because with that attitude, a sexual predator will think that you are a spineless pushover of a dad/mom and specifically target your kids because of you. not kidding you either. that’s how they think and behave. how come you foreigners don’t know anything about basic psychology? we are supposed to be the “dumb” ones too.

    • Posted by Nobody'sAngel, at Reply

I had a sister who’s abused when young and didn’t know until recently. I would have reacted the same like this guy at that moment but understand that’s not the way the system should work. Your thought on this is deep and the amount of hate you got here shows that you are right. Many of us are self-righteous brats and should differ towards a proper and just discourse for both the victims as well as the predators.

    • Posted by Insufferable Know-It-All, at Reply

Franktional you know for a fact that if those kids and their parents were black this guy would have gotten away with it. This isn’t new.

    • Posted by Franktional, at Reply

I think that is a very insensitive thing to say. Part of the reason the country is still divided is the need to drag race into every little thing that happens. A bird shits on a black guys head? Must be a racist bird.
