West Virginia has to be up there as one of the most ignorantly populated states in the country.

Jim is the man If you search harder, you could bash us a lot harder, like being 49th in education.😂😂😂

    • Posted by Cactus Pete, at Reply

Michael Lowe…Seriously? Forty-ninth in education? I had no idea it was that bad. I guess someone has to be forty-ninth. What state is fiftieth?

    • Posted by Michael Lowe, at Reply

Cactus Pete We’ve been back and forth with Mississippi for years, but they are at the moment. Our only strong point is agriculture which I personally take part in such

    • Posted by Cactus Pete, at Reply

Michael Lowe…At least you can take solace that if Puerto Rico was a state, they would beat both of you. And thank you for your agricultural expertise. That industry is more complicated than people realize.

    • Posted by Michael Lowe, at Reply

Cactus Pete Yea it’s a shame it’s not viewed as an important matter. I’ve been involved since Elementary school and have even attended competitions at a national level as a high schooler. It’s just where I grew up at it’s almost a necessity to know a decent amount about it.

Why are West Virginians so DESPERATE to expose themselves to black lung disease again ? Trump should pay for them to attend community college and learn a 21st century trade.

9TheMajor Turn WV into the green energy reserach and manufacturing capital of the world. Retrain the coal miners into new jobs and encourage green business to set up shop there instead of giving corporate welfare to profitable companies and those in dying industries (coal, oil) Im not an economist, but does that not KIND OF make sense?

    • Posted by Levity, at Reply

Coal miners have had ventilation as non-negotiable now for decades.

Regular economics: You make the rich pay more in taxes so the government can have more money to spend on things like welfare programs for the poor.
Conservanomics/Reaganomics: Don’t give the poor people money, give the rich people money because then they’ll share with the poor. (by the way this has never happened this way in any economy ever)

    • Posted by Tony Smith, at Reply

Y2K oh really, what about the iPhone or real as without rich people buying the the first generation of those products we would have the more affordable versions. The iPhone for example, what if back in the 80s no one bought the first mobile phone we wouldn’t have the modern day smartphone

    • Posted by Y2K, at Reply

Lynn Jung Don’t worry she won’t explain. Because she knows that it’s not an incorrect statement. Although she might try to debunk what I said with a word salad with little to no relevance to economics.

    • Posted by RedroomStudios, at Reply

because Kaysha doesnt like to pay taxes. agreed that Y2K is exactly right. Reaganomics was just a scam to shift more wealth to the people at the top.

    • Posted by Lynn Jung, at Reply

Tony Smith Wow! You really have no clue what trickle down economics even means. You should Google it.

    • Posted by Alex Coughanour, at Reply

Your assessment of “regular economics” makes no sense. Economics is the study of scarce resources and behaviors with scarce resources. Your assessment is a system of progressive taxation, which has been used for income tax in the US since FDR.

Trickle down economics is not a thing. It’s never been a thing and politicians that use that term are probably not worth your vote. Supply side economics is a different theory, usually contrasted from demand side or “Keynesian economics”. It has been tried several times in US history and seemed to be effective in raising the standard of living in that country.

The Republican Party is full of idiots. They are terrible at playing by their own rules. You should read their books and tell them why they are dumb using their rules. But your grasp of economics is weak and when the original person called you out, she was right.

    • Posted by Arvind Talukdar, at Reply

KAIJU MECHA ppl don’t like their fellow men. They are tribalistic in a very superficial way. For instance they don’t want poor ppl, refugees, immigrants, to live comfortably and want to mistreat them more than they want to make their own personal Situation better.

    • Posted by Coos Oorlog, at Reply

      they don’t think.

    • Posted by chickendinner2012, at Reply

People are stuck in the two party mindset, they had no other choice if that was what they believed. And the two parties make it nearly impossible for a third party to even run in the first place.

Republicans cheat. It’s what they do. The politicians do it. The supporters either don’t care or approve, and then do nothing of any use except for the super rich. They are pathetic.

    • Posted by ben dunn, at Reply

When it comes to cheating I don’t really think it matters which party you belong to. Just think about Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Think about how the DNC stole the nomination from Sanders.

    • Posted by Aaron Humphreys, at Reply

I have never seen a progressive state that the Democrats are better. Any progressive saying that is a complete moron.

Democrats are a conservative party. Republicans are a conservative party. A bird with two right wings can’t fly.

  17. Posted by Adam Cortright, at Reply

It’s got nothing to do with self-reflection or stupidity. The Democrats are the second party of American capitalism. They don’t care, AS A PARTY, about values or helping people. This fixation on “well this or that democrat isn’t all bad” is beside the point. The party is corrupt and needs to be abandoned, and a new party of the people based on socialism constructed IN OPPOSITION to the Democratic and Republican parties, which this video makes abundantly clear, there is no difference between.

    • Posted by InuKun2008, at Reply

However with the strong belief by many voters in being a staunch Republican or Democrat who will never sway from their party, and the media not giving much (if any) attention to other parties, you end up continuing the two-party system.

    • Posted by Adam Cortright, at Reply

In other words, the struggle for a third party will be just that, a struggle. But there is a social base for it. How many of those 13 million Bernie voters, for example, would have voted for Sanders if he had decided to run as an independent after losing the nomination? I say this only by way of example that there is a gnawing hunger for a party that represents the interests of everyday Americans. After all, there are more independents than there are either Republicans or Democrats.

I was just in WV. It’s a beautiful state. Mountains. Woods. Rivers. It’s gorgeous. Until you go into one of the towns and see the toothless rednecks, rundown buildings, shacks, trailer homes, and general squalor. Then when you talk to the people who live there you notice how un-cultured and ignorant they are. It’s kind of a depressing place. I guess that’s why West Virginians are all addicted to pills and opioids.

    • Posted by TheBrindleBoxer, at Reply

bot bot boo hoo. I guess you’re a resident of WV.

    • Posted by dra6o0n, at Reply

Not limited to West Virginia… I’d say the majority of the population live in problem areas like those, by majority as in the poor folks, as they obviously massively outnumber the common folks that do have access to the internet, education, etc.

The one flaw that some Americans seems to have, is a lack of critical thinking.
Patriotism can be blinding. Spiritualism and Religion can also blind one’s views.

  19. Posted by SAF 2008, at Reply

Personally, I don’t think this should be allowed for any party or any body. If you want to switch or become independent then you should face re-election. It is clearly undemocratic, treats the voters with distain and shows a complete lack of respect for the democratic process.
