" Trump's team brought "special equipment" to China that makes it possible for the president to get around the nation's net firewall program, according to an unnamed elderly White Home official talking with NBC Information' Peter Alexander.

It's vague just what type of "unique equipment" that's being utilized; there's a wide array of software and hardware tools that exist to circumvent web blockages like the one in China." *.

Wow. Trump not only tries to break America’s laws but China’s as well.
Granted it is a dumb law to have.

    • Posted by LarsUlrichIsMe, at Reply

the piece is still relevant. he is the president, not a random citizen. he shouldnt be breaking ANY laws, no matter stupid the law is

    • Posted by John Kimble, at Reply

Lars, it is called diplomatic immunity, maybe learn politics 101 before you go on the streets screaming?

    • Posted by Listenbuddy1, at Reply

    • Posted by LarsUlrichIsMe, at Reply

i know about diplomatic immunity, doesnt mean the president should go around murdering people. its called having respect for the country you are visiting and their laws

    • Posted by John Kimble, at Reply

So now you are comparing using twitter to murdering people? No wonder you people are so triggered by Trump’s twitter, you deem it on par with murder. Maybe calm down and realize they are not the same and nobody is hurt from twitter? I mean actually hurt, I am sure loads of people got their little feelings hurt.

My last boyfriend had a job in Shanghai and was able to work around that firewall. Didn’t know it was illegal. I like bad boys.

  5. Posted by The Iranian Liberal, at Reply

Yeah everyone does that. In Iran we use VPNs and proxies to circumvent the government controls on the internet. They do the same thing in China. Nice to see TYT defending authoritarian governments.

It would be nice to see the responses to your comment too, but TYT have put a stop to that.

It’s not “special” equipment. Every foreigner living in China has a VPN. Many academics and businesses in China have government-sanctioned VPNs. Using a VPN to get around the firewall isn’t illegal in and of itself.

  7. Posted by poofendorf, at Reply

I lived in China. That “special equipment” is widely used and is called a “VPN”.

  8. Posted by Ismael Aguilar, at Reply

Is not illegal, is an ” exception”

Funny that left wing TYT is doing a story on China. In China, white leftists are called ‘Baizuo’. In China, the white left are described as follows:
” _baizuo is used generally to describe those who “only care about topics such as immigration, minorities, LGBT and the environment” and “have no sense of real problems in the real world”; they are hypocritical humanitarians who advocate for peace and equality only to “satisfy their own feeling of moral superiority”; they are “obsessed with political correctness” to the extent that they “tolerate backwards Islamic values for the sake of multiculturalism”; they believe in the welfare state that “benefits only the idle and the free riders”; they are the “ignorant and arrogant westerners” who “pity the rest of the world and think they are saviours_ ”

Wow, do they have the Young Turks and their lapdog fans down pat or what?

    • Posted by Little Johnny, at Reply

Isaah Davis – you call somebody else ‘dumb’ while stating the falsehood that ‘republicans idolize oppressive governments’? THAT is what is ‘dumb’.

So after watching less than 5 min of TYT videos today I would like to recap Hannah’s thoughts tonight.

“There’s no such thing as being racist to whites”
“You should have internet-free internet access”

Please remove this idiot TYT. I feel like I’m watching a completely different channel when she’s talking.

Being called a ‘nazi’ by someone with your name and logo should be considered a compliment.

    • Posted by Armando Gallegos, at Reply

      Care to explain that?

    • Posted by dreesdroeftoeter, at Reply

My reply was meant towards +Vaness AntifaFan, who supports a movement which I consider to be the main embarrassement of the human race.

    • Posted by Armando Gallegos, at Reply

dreesdroeftoefer – apologies, thought you were talking to me. Antifa thinks that because they are in the ‘noble’ cause of fighting so called ‘fascists’ any violence and destruction they engage in is justified. They are the Nazi brownshirts of the present day.

Much as I hate Trump in all ways think his tweets are asinine….China’s “Great Firewall” is an oppressive tool that I fully believe should be lifted, and this kinda makes a statement when the US doesn’t bow to it. Though I don’t for a second Trump comprehends the subtlety of such a gesture. He just wants to Tweet-rant. 😐
