If you intend to reform the DNC, this is the meeting for you. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, breaks it down. Tell us just what you believe in the remark area listed below. Join TYT:

" The Democratic Celebration is the large outdoor tents celebration– we pride ourselves on being comprehensive as well as welcoming to all. The 2016 primary season triggered the delegates of the Autonomous National Convention in requiring an evaluation of our Party's nominating process in order to ensure that inclusivity is supported in all points that we do. The Unity Reform Commission was created by a resolution proposed at the Convention Rules Committee, which was consequently approved by the delegates of the 2016 Autonomous National Board. The resolution developing the Unity Reform Payment could be discovered right here.

The Unity Compensation is composed of members appointed by Secretary Clinton, Senator Sanders, as well as Tom Perez, chair of the DNC. The chair of the Unity Reform Compensation is Jennifer O'Malley Dillon. Larry Cohen is the vice chair. See a complete checklist of the participants of the Unity Reform Commission. "*.

Sorry Turks but after what Nevada did to Bernie Sanders in favor of Hillary Clinton I’m not going to be anywhere near that convention the Democratic party is corrupt to the core which means it needs to go away in a new party needs to be born

That’s precisely one of the reasons why to reform the party, to get rid of arcane rules that keep huge parts of the grass roots out.

*_Because the Democratic party is so hopelessly corrupt it will take thousands of us in the streets and meeting room just to counter a single donor’s million dollars. Feck the Democratic party._*

    1. End super delegates
    2.)Open primaries
    3.)Same day registration
4.)Break up primary dates so they are not stacked up
    5.) Ranked choice voting

barcacris4 you’re just trying to rig the primary against Hillary. Bernie lost, get over it.

Voting done after all debates add more debates

    • Posted by Jon Smith, at Reply

adding ending cacuses..would make it more even. As well as adding all that stuff

    • Posted by Jon Smith, at Reply

yea not sure if I like that. If your canidate loses, they lose. To me it would just add more drama. Like What if someone get more first place votes. But the other person wins because they get more 2nd place, and third votes being push to no 1. and before you Answer what if that person who Wins that way name Hillary Cliton. People here would flip out.

+Jon Smith …no its more Democratic and healthy, and it’s how many countries do it, to make sure everyone votes their conscience, instead of trying to vote Strategically. it’s clearly the best and most fair system.

for example, people could have voted this way in general election

      1. Stein
      2. Johnson
      3. Clinton
      4. Trump

that would be a real election. Stein would probably have gotten almost as much as hillary.

or if Sanders had decided to run independent in the general, sanders would have probably won the election

      1. Sanders
      2. Trump
      3. Clinton

is probably how most people would have voted in the general

America needs a Parliamentary Democracy like Canada or the UK. Then you’d have to have consensus building, you’d have multiple parties, you could hold snap elections and get rid of bad seeds like Trump rather than wait 4 years, and you wouldn’t have 2 year long election campaigns that spread constant division across the country. That all leads to less money in government, less influence (not none, but less). Anyway, Parliament. Think about it.

But for the love of Christ, pair it with proportional representation. First past the post is a disgrace that forces voters into binary choices.

    • Posted by mark navarro, at Reply

if the parliamentary system worked trudeu would have been gone a long time ago.

    • Posted by Garett James, at Reply

mark navarro I assume you don’t understand how it works, but that’s ok. I suggest you read up on how leaders are chosen and how they retain power. It’s an interesting and effective dynamic.

    • Posted by mark navarro, at Reply

      Garett James I understand it.

    • Posted by Cheydinal, at Reply

mark navarro In a parliament, the any majority can elect a Prime Minister. I suppose they think Trudeu is their best front figure at the moment, they could end his career any second if they wanted to

Are you sending somebody over there to videotape this because I’m in Maryland and I don’t have funds to send of myself into Vegas and watch it I’m a stay-at-home mom and my husband works so yeah if you send one of the press there capture it all on video I can watch it.

  12. Posted by Amos Soma, at Reply

I agree with what Cenk said in the very beginning, “Their job is to look at the rules of the DNC and see if things are fair.” Fair to members, Democrats, not outsiders like Bernie Sanders who, for reasons only he understands, refuse to join.

  13. Posted by Flash Gordan, at Reply

Why should they get rid of Superdelegates when it ensures their GOP butt hole buddies will win every time?

“Political parties” ALL political parties, are the bare arm of corruption in government…ALL GOVERNMENT… DON’T BE A CHUMP! There is ZERO authorization or operant apparatus in The United States Constitution for any privately funded political entity to usurp and control The United States Government in ANY WAY!!!

  16. Posted by David Todd, at Reply

Democrats are the most corrupt party

Don’t get hung up on nomenclature of politics, Democrats are weak and paid to stay complacent. The working Class People in America can take this party over and make real changes. This is the first step. I will be there tomorrow representing the working class to the best of my ability. I have a list of facts, and ideas for solutions in attempts to mend this broken system. Our Troops fight physically for your freedom, fight politically for your freedom and that of your fellow People here in America. Republican/Democrat Conservative/Liberal it doesn’t matter. If you work and pay taxes you need to be a part of this. We are getting crushed and exploited, so now we need to fight for our representation in government.
