I hate wasting food so I try to freeze things when I find that I won’t be able to cook them for a while. But getting that air-tight seal is almost impossible without one of those fancy vacuum machines.
I’ve tried it all — sucking the air out manually, using a straw, squishing the bag until the air leaves…but nothing really works. Ultimately, when I go to get my frozen food out, often it’s got freezer burn!
But now that I know this super quick water trick, I’ll never have that issue again.
